An entertaining, cute love story in the idyllic small-town setting of Wishing, Texas.
Great, well-developed characters, both facing challenges, and great relationship between the romantic couple, I just loved how Cooper and Cheyenne are so honest with each other. I liked the apparent contrast between the quiet, thoughtful, (described as) super-intelligent Cooper and vibrant and impulsive Cheyenne, who has a bit of an inferiori

This was my first book by Julie Benson. Thank you to Tule Publishing, Julie Benson and Harlequin Junkie blog for this wonderful book.

Cheyanne and Cooper had a few strikes against them going into their relationship, when Cooper moved to Wishing, Texas to take over as the new veterinarian. Cooper has been trying to get an app up and running for people who have seizures and Cheyanne is having seizers from a brain tumor and she had to move back home. Her mother is way overprotective of Cheyanne and

To Tame A Texas Cowboy is the third title in the Wishing, Texas series. And this one is romantic as well as poignant for Cheyenne is facing far more than an over-protective mother, she is facing a life dealing with seizures due to a brain tumor. She’d been injured while on the circuit and the discovery of her medical problems came to light, along with her own fiercely independent nature to live her life beyond the perhaps understandable protectiveness of her mother.

To Tame A Texas Cowboy, third in Julie Benson’s Wishing Texas series, is all about the possibility that wishes can come true. For Cheyenne Whitten, a rodeo barrel racer who’s had to step out of her sport after being diagnosed with a brain tumor and suffering increasingly frequent seizures, it’s about finding a cure so she can get back to the sport that she loves. For Cooper Abbott, it’s about establishing his own country vet practice in Wishing and seeing his dead fiancée’s dream of getting her ...more

This is a sweet romance about two people who need each other without knowing they need the other one to complete themselves.

Cheyenne Whitten is suffering from seizures that are not responding to medication and she has had to move back into her mother's house. The only issue is that Cheyenne feels like she is being smothered by her mother and her overzealous concern about her health. Cheyenne has tried working but the only jobs available to her are waitressing and that didn't work out too well. B

While this is the third book in the series and I hadn't read the first two I had no problem following the story as it was a total stand alone with just cross over characters whose past was explained enough to fill in any gaps

Cooper Abbott has moved to Wishing Texas where his two college room mates live to start over Not only is he opening a new veterinary practice but he is also trying to get over the loss of his fiancee two years earlier She died in the operating table after surgery for a brain

To Tame a Texas Cowboy is the third book in the Wishing, Texas Series as well as the third book by Julie Benson that I have read. This is a series that continues to get better. These characters are down to earth people who have had some bad knock in life. Now they dig deep to find the resilience to change but also keep their dreams moving forward. Not sure about the title since the story has an animal vet and a competitive barrel racer cowgirl as the main characters.
Recovery, rebuilding and sta

Julie Benson’s third book, To Tame a Texas Cowboy, in the Wishing, Texas series will literally sweep you away in a journey rife with emotions that will keeps the pages turning. From its onset, the book draws you into Copper and Cheyenne’s story effortlessly, creating a bond with the couple that I found lasted long after the story ended.

The characters were relatable, and had such unique personalities...the one liners the three best friends threw out, woven throughout the story, kept the story li

This stand alone in the series, is a touching story.
Cheyenne Whitten’s life has changed dramatically after she has to give up her career as a barrel racer due to developing seizures.
Cooper Abbott, the new veterinarian in town is still not over losing his fiancee due to a brain tumor. But his promise to continue her efforts to help others with seizures is what brings these two together.
Aside from the relationship between Cooper and Cheyenne, it’s a story about family dynamics and support or the

Cheyenne was a barrel racer who had to leave her career at least for now because she had a seizure. Her Mom is driving her crazy because she is worried about Cheyenne. She won't let her do anything or go anywhere because she is worried that she might have one while she is out and might not come home again.

Aubrey, Cheyenne's best friend, tells her that she should talk to Cooper because he might be able to help her get a service dog. It takes a while to get a service dog and Cheyenne has to go thr

Thoroughly enjoyed, neither looking for relationship but they both needed each other to move forward in life. Cheyenne needs to move away from her over protected mother and turns to Cooper for help in finding a service dog for her seizures. Cooper needs help in his new veterinarian clinic, so what's the perfect situation of Cheyenne moving in and helping at the clinic. Soon they can't deny the chemistry that they share.

We never know what lies ahead in our lives. Yes we plan, scheme, or just “roll with it”. But it’s when the unforeseen circumstances of health issues shows us what we are truly made of. It helps to have friends and family support us but need your own inner strength to survive the outcome - whether a plus or negative (which is also based on our view of the circumstances). Finding the depth your love can grow for another during this period adds more stress to everything. This book is full of drama, ...more

This was such a touching and romantic story. It is about Cheyenne and Cooper. To me Cheyenne was a very strong and determined woman. She is dealt a not so great hand but she really wants to live her life. I really liked Cooper. He was such a wonderful and sweet man. The sparks flew between Cooper and Cheyenne. To Tame a Texas Cowboy is the third in Julie Benson's Wishing, Texas series. I am enjoying every visit back to Wishing and Cheyenne and Cooper make the latest visit memorable. I loved the match between rodeo barrel racer and veterinarian. They both have reasons to not get involved but love has a way of changing all those intentions.

I'm very much looking forward to more visits back to Wishing, Texas and can't wait to see how Julie Benson gets us back there.

A romantic story where the characters don't want a relationship but need each other without realizing it. Cheyenne is dealing with health issues and feels a service dog is the answer. That is where Cooper comes in. Both have issues from their past but that's what makes them perfect for each other. I love that all the secondary characters don't overtake the storyline but actually complement it. Overall I enjoyed it. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Tule Publishing. ...more

There are so many great things to find in this book: Terrific characters, a well-developed plot, turmoil, crises, and of course, love. It is an interesting read with the inclusion of a therapy dog who attaches itself to the character who needs her most.
It’s a terrific book.

This was a sweet story. Each of the characters had something the other needed.

Cheyenne Whitten suffered from seizures and she was tired of her mother and sister always watching over her like she was a baby. She needed some freedom. She needed a service dog. When Cheyenne’s best friend suggests they take a road trip to see Cooper Abbott, a veterinarian and has connections to organizations with service dogs, Cheyenne decided it would be worth it.

This book was very good. This book was funny, sweet & definitely heartbreaking but it also had a strong sexy side as well. The pages smouldered as Cooper & Cheyenne fought their connection. Seeing Cheyenne battle her seizures & brain tumour was heartbreaking but her strong character & strength of will was elating, you just knew th ...more

I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. This is the 3rd book in the series and the first I have read. The author did a good job giving enough of the back story for me to not feel lost. Books 1 and 2 were about AJ and Grace and Ty and Cassie. This story is about Cooper and Cheyenne. Cooper is a veterinarian and college buddy of AJ and Ty. He moves to the small town of Wishing, Texas where his 2 friends are, and opens his own vet practice. We learn that Cooper’s fiancée passed away 2 ...more

I loved the characters and their relatable flaws and inspiring hope. Cheyenne was an incredible inspiration for the female character who was able to be so brave and keep fighting through her struggles with her health. Cooper was such a kind man despite his trouble with his family. When they come together they create a wonderful couple who is accepting and understand of each other’s flaws. Great quick hopeful read that has you rooting for the characters and taking their emotional ride with them.
