My job had taken me into the city.

I’d taken myself into a bar afterward.

I’d only gone there for a drink, but then I saw her, sitting on that stage, singing her heart out, her words sad and sorrowful, her voice beautiful and calling to me.

I wanted to know more about her right then and there.

And after that night, I took her back to my hotel. We’d both become lost in pleasure

Happy Release Day Jenika Snow!! One of the most rewarding parts of being a sensitivity reader is when the author gets it right. First of all this GORGEOUS cover speaks volumes as to what race the heroine is, and doesn’t need a whole lot of extra descriptions in the book to describe her. I love how it talked about her braids, and a quick reference to her skin tone, but didn’t stay there. I also loved the fact that the heroine is darker skinned because typically a lot of black heroines in

This is a story can be summed up by saying you know when you know.
For some people it takes something tragic or life altering bridge before they realize they are in love. Some people know instantly that they have just met the love of their life. Here, Oliver and Adele went through a hiccup on their journey to forever.

I love their connection and how consuming their love was. I don’t love novellas because it doesn’t allow for character development and a lot of background information. That’s what I

I really enjoyed this short and sweet interracial romance! I haven’t read many romance novels involving love at first sight/insta love and to my surprise I really enjoyed it! I really loved that this story focused on the couple in that bubble of new love, when nothing else matters except the hero and heroines love for one another! I also loved the the way the characters were described, just subtle hints like the hero’s blue eyes and the heroines long black braids, and dark skin, letting us know ...more

how we are used to this author, they are a journey to a safe love, I really liked it because the protagonists already had a story from a while ago and Oliver's connection for Adele was tremendous, that procession, and colonhaven in search of love !!! ❤️❤️

Whoa baby!! I love a good ol' fashioned Jenika Snow book and she delivered with this brand new romance. She's known for writing sexy, sweet, insta-love romances and this book... well she delivered that and then some in the stunning And Then There Was Her.

One night with her and he'll stop at nothing to find her and when he does, he is never letting go her go again. THIS right here is why I read Jenika. Just wait until you meet the swoony Oliver and Adele... they'll totally steal a piece o

Jenika is one of my favorite Insta love authors. Sometimes I’m in the moody for a quick, insta love, dirty talking alpha male story. This was just that. It ticked all my boxes as well as being an interracial romance. I love that you get the description of their skin and eye colors to indicate that this is indeed an interracial romance. I love that their LOVE and connection is the focal point and not their differences. Their connection was steamy and his need for her is so tangible.

Loved this quick interracial romance that is filled with plenty of romance and steam. Oliver couldn’t stop thinking about Adele after they spent one steamy night together. When he woke up, she was gone. He knew that he needed to find her. The connection he felt for her was too strong to ignore. Little did he know, she was feeling the same way about him. When they finally see each other again for the first time, it was explosive. You could feel the love they felt for each other coming off the pag ...more

Oliver is a little bit love-obsessed for Adele in Jenika Snow's And Then There Was Her. It works though, Oliver sees Adele singing in a bar one night and he is hooked. She agrees to a drink with him and for Oliver, it's an almost obsessive, instant love that knows no bounds. Oliver will do what it takes to find his girl again and make her his.

Adele might have walked away from their night together, but Oliver has never left her mind either. She knows she messed up and it was hard to leave him. B

WOW how Jenika got a hot love story in such a short story. It is refreshing and full a jazz music.

Oliver & Adele meet and had one night of passion. Both felt the pull for each other. Oliver searches for her and Adele sings on the stage & hope he will appear again. And he does !!
You want a hot and short romance read, READ THIS you will not be disappointed. And I want more of this couple and their love music & northern light. 🎼❤🎙

Really recommend & MUST READ
This was my first Janika Snow novel and I can guarantee it will not be my last. In fact; I must add her backlist ASAP!

Although And Then There Was Her is a novella, it is jammed packed with steam, insta-love, likable characters and a good time. It’s easy to read & follow and just left me satisfied and with a smile on my face. Oh did I mention steam? Holy moly it was juicy!

This is my first book by this author. She does a great job of describing feelings and things. It left me wanting more depth and background - it seemed as if I was put into the middle of a story. This is a quick read.

This is my first experience reading one of Ms. Snow’s books. The book was very ‘clean’ no noticeable typos or grammatical issues. Furthermore, she has an almost lyrical writing style and the action flowed from one chapter to the next. The story is told from the POV of both the H and h. When the story begins, Oliver and Adele had already met and enjoyed a night of passion. We don’t get to spy on their initial encounter. We hear from them as they recall that one night. Adele left Oliver sleeping in ...more

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Adele and Oliver. Oliver comes into the city to do construction work. On one of his visits he goes to a bar and hears the most beautiful woman singing. He knows he has to have more of her but after an amazing night she just disappears. After that he had to leave town, but he is back know and determined to find the woman who stole his heart. Wow. This was just way too much hot and swoony romance from Jenika Snow. It delivered heart and heat in a neat package. Explosive. Heartfelt.

And Then There Was Her was one of those rare insta-love stories that I liked. I usually love to read about the process. But this one started with a bang and then took me through the couple's journey. Oliver and Adele met at a bar when Oliver was in the city for work and she was singing there. One passionate night happened. And months later Oliver searched f

Well I’m completely in love with this book. As someone who fell in love with my husband the first time I met him, I’m a sucker for these kind of romances.

For Oliver and Adele, it took one night and when Oliver wakes up to an empty bed, he sets off on a mission to find the woman who captivated him.

Adele left without saying a word. Did she make a mistake? Should she have said goodbye? Now she spends every night wondering and hoping she will look up and see him staring back at her.

Being a huge fan of Jenika Snow, I know I'm gonna like the majority of her stories but this one was over the top steamy, hot, sexy and all those other words you think of when you talk about her work. This is also one of the few books that I knew I wanted it just by looking at the cover. (It's HOT) Oliver and Adele had one night together and getting scared, she ran. Of course we know he's not going to let her get away. I absolutely loved that this story did not talk about the interracial aspect b ...more

Oliver and Adele are so sweet. I enjoyed reading their story and see how a one-night stand led to a desperate search for Oliver's soulmate through the city then to a lifelong happy relationship.

I loved to see a black heroine portrayed first and foremost as a human being. Her blackness is not problematic and the specificities she has (her braids, skin tone) are written seamlessly. I really loved the fact that the author didn't seem to struggle with creating a character outside her default.

For a quick, steamy, insta-love story, this was it! I loved it! Like other reviewers have mentioned, I loved that their connection was so palpable and that it was the focus of the story. Although they are in an interracial relationship, that wasn't the main focus, which is HUGE. We got a few descriptions of their physical attributes, and that was it. It wasn't mentioned over and over again like most books that feature an interracial couple. Although the book was short and there wasn't much of a ...more

I heard a rumor that the cover model making up the heroine is NANA MALONE! (Can you hear the screaming from me?!) She's so beautiful & I absolutely CANNOT live without her stories. Okay, I'll stop now because And Then There Was Her is penned by the addictive Jenika Snow who definitely can write HEAT! It's a short read and I needed more because of the beauty of these two people who fate wanted together. I mean, this special brand of stalking was delicious LOL! This author always delivers exactly what I got to her books for. If you're looking for Alpha AF heroes, she's got you. If you are looking for trope filled, fun, novella length books full of steam and for the most part little to no angst? She's got you. And this is the first book of hers I've read that's an interracial romance (we love to see it, plus 10/10 cover love) This was cute. Adorable actually and how did she get those tropes to tie up? I remember when Jenika revealed the cover for this story, it is such an amazing cover and knew I couldn’t wait to read the book. Well, it’s finally here and the story just blew me away.

Adele and Oliver meet and fall in lust at first sight, but she leaves in the morning with no way to contact her and he does all he can to find her, he must find her.

And boy oh boy, once they reunite, the world turned on its axis with how much sparks they created, their love story is one that as I read, I was just

Not a good read at all

This book made absolutely no sense and seemed to be rushed. I only read it because Im a theodora taylor fan and she endorsed this book her opinion is obviously flawed and ill never read a book she recommends again. This book was short and thats okay. But it did not flow at 1 point in the beginning he mentioned not seeing her for a year and then he said 3 months this was like a draft of a book and I'm not sure how it was published by anyone I'm glad I'm a Kindle subscriber c

Odd - Don’t waste your time or money

This has to be one of the strangest books I have read. The pacing of this book is all off. There is no character development, no real story or challenge for the couple. No real other supporting characters with the exception of a very brief mention of Bishop. This book is basically two very long and poorly described sex scenes. It is a very strange love at first sight but very unrealistic and I just couldn’t get on board. I did finish the book but only because

Oliver was in the city for work when he went to a bar and saw Adele singing. They spent one night together but Adele was gone when he woke up. He then vowed to look for her. Adele on her part has never forgotten Oliver and regretted the moment she walked out on him. Will they ever find their way to each other again? This has a simple storyline. It is a short pleasurable read with good characters and a satisfying ending. I am looking forward to the next story.

I thought that this was a really good book. Adele and Oliver had amazing chemistry. I liked the searching that Oliver did to find his soulmate again. The longing that these two had for each other was amazing. There really wasn't a lot of drama just the searching that Oliver did t fin Adele. When these two finally reconnection, they are scorching hot and embrace their feelings for one another. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Jenika as a fantastic author.

OMG! If I could give this story more than 5 stars I would. When Oliver and Adele first meet it was love at first sight and the chemistry was too hot to deny. After an explosive night together, Adele left without even leaving her name behind. For months Oliver did everything he could to find Adele. He could not get her out of his system and he knew they were meant to be. Meanwhile Adele is also wishing she had not left Oliver. And when he finally finds her? Its going to be epic. I just love Jenika Snow! This book was so good. It’s a fast pace, insta-love story. I like how it started with the characters having already met, you don’t see that very often. His Obsession . . .
Oliver went to a bar and heard the woman on stage with the beautiful voice. After the evening ended, he took her back to his hotel. After their one-night-stand, she left with no goodbye and no way to contact her again.

Oliver spent three months searching for Adele and was now headed back to the city where he would begin his search again, bar-by-bar, until he found her. He would not stop until she was his. Would they get their second chance? Does she want him as much as he wants
