Pretty good selection of articles are the various attempts to establish a system of ethical reasoning. Felt there could have been better defenses of ethics from religious perspectives.

Sehr umfangreiches Handbuch zur Ethiktheorie. Nach Einleitungen zu Fragestellungen, Kontroversen oder schlichtweg Themen folgend jeweils vier bis sieben Primärquellen, die selber noch kurz eingeleitet werden. Wie im Titel zu lesen reichen diese Primärquellen bis Sokrates zurück, umfassen aber zum Beispiel auch zwei zeitgenössische Repliken des Autors selbst.

In Anbetracht der Komplexität des Themas ist das Buch wirklich lehrreich. Es hätte allerdings visuell besser aufbereitet werden können durch Gegenüberstellungen von Strömen in Tabellenform, durch eine chronologische Darstellung der Entwicklung der Meinungen und so weiter.

Good selection of readings, many of which I would never have read except for class. It presents a very good overview of ethical theory.
