I was born and raised in East Tennessee and spent a great deal of my childhood hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains and wading barefoot in creeks, chasing salamanders, fish, and frogs. We camped a lot, and we loved to tell stories while sitting around our campfire.
Those days of frog chasing sparked my interest in biology, which I pursued in college and later in graduate school. A working scientist by day, I never lost my love of sharing stories. I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and am thrilled to be working as a writer.
I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my husband, two children, three cats, and my very active imagination.
Soul Broker Vivian Bedford is on the run as she is in the sights of the Archangel Guardian Spirit council and has become public enemy number one. She joins a band of living soul brokers who are a major part of the rebellion but is not sure if she can trust them or not. She decided to join them and help to find out the traitor in their midst. Will she prevail in the war for freedom...and her soul?
This was full of so my drama and danger, yet also had some stolen moment so tenderness. I really enjoyed the relationship between Vivian and Darkmore which I felt could have turned into something long term and so in many ways was heartbroken at the choice she made at the end. Well written and very enjoyable, it helps to have read the rest of the series first but I think you could cope to read this stand-alone.
read all 3 in series, this one being full of 'phrases' that if were to quote, would get review disallowed, for 'language' among other things, as seems to want to be 50 shades of soul brokers/guardians/reapers, and to top that off, the ending made no sense.
This book to me was all over the place compared to the first two. It's as if all the author's remaining ideas where jammed into it last minute. I wasn't really happy with the ending twist either...
It was 10 freaking stars till the very last pages and her choice! Why?! I mean WHYYYYYYY?!?!? I'm so disappointed I cried for that bloody man and raged at Vivians stupidity. 🤬🤬🤬
