Janalyn Voigt tells a good story with some excellent life lessons about forgiveness, both giving and receiving, and about putting your past behind you. I have enjoyed watching the characters grow and develop throughout the series. One of my favorites has been Shane, who appeared as the itinerant preacher in the first book.
