An excellent introduction to Hitler's views and a detailed breakdown of his views, maybe a bit out of date but that should not stop you from reading it

Although dated, Jackel's work is concise and meaningful. A better translation and a more accessible writing might've raised my rating to 5 stars.

A solid examination of the fundamentals of Hitler's world view. Well written and organized. However, it is by now quite dated, and some of Jackel's formulations and conclusions would now be disputed by modern scholarship. That said, modern scholarship owes much to Jackel in the first place.

Very outdated. It had some interesting ideas about Hitler's life and why he did the things he did, but I just felt like there was never a main point to each chapter. It felt spread out and colluded at the same time.

Absolutely worth reading, but not easy to understand immediately, because the author uses difficult sentences to explain his point of view.
I certainly will reread this book, also because my German has to be improved.
