A guide to family health care covers alternative and conventional treatments for hundreds of health problems, from relatively benign conditions to the most serious diseases
This is a handy book to have a round as a general help for what ails you. I love that it also includes basic first aid along with not only standard medical information but someone alternative medicine too.
this is the one book my family can't be without for we are endowed with so many ailments - from herpes to arrhytmia, anemia and asthma; it is almost complete (i can't find thyphoid, tho' isn't it "tipes" and isn't it prevalent in Indonesia? at least 3 friends got it) - what's great about it is that it includes alternative healing, promote healthy lifestyle, even yoga positions, and provide a complete map of the human body, from the muscle, to the organs, to the accupressure points. I can't believe we got it for free> (courtesy of the Book-of-the-Month club)
This is one of the books I'm using in my doctorate program for Natural Medicine. It has over 1100 pages of informative information to just about every ailment and cure listed; conventional and alternative treatments. Great book to have for your home library.
So I obviously didn't read this entire thing in a day, but I did read parts and skimmed and looked at pictures. It's a great overview of many diseases and illnesses, and there are some great images in the back to help identify what could be making you sick.
