I'm loving this new series set in a coastal Oregon town named Oceanview. It sounded like tons of fun being around Halloween and having a whole week for people to get dressed up and let the kids go trick or treating to the shops. Poor Wren's only problem was that she was practically accused of murder, and the police had to seize a third of her inventory.

Wren wasn't one to give up easily, so with the help of her awesome aunt Eloise and her sweet cat Everett, she set out to find the person who was

I am a big fan of Nancy Coco and this is going to be a new favorite cozy series for me. In this first installment, we meet Wren - a Oregon native who runs a new bee & honey product shop. When she discovers the body of her aunt's rival she is quickly considered a person of interest in the murder. Determined to clear her name and save her shop (and her own reputation) she cannot help but investigate, even when it gets her into more danger.
I loved Wren and how determined she was,

I love finding new cozy mystery series. Each month when the list of new books comes out, the first thing I do is look for new series and then I go back and look at the rest of the new books. I was super excited when I came across Death Bee Comes Her by Nancy Coco, the first book in An Oregon Honeycomb Mystery series.

Most cozies come with recipes or craft patterns, so the first thing I did when I picked up this book was jump to the end to read the recipes, something I always do. I didn’t see any

Death Bee Comes Her by Nancy Coco is the debut of An Oregon Honeycomb Mystery series. I enjoyed this delightful new cozy from beginning to end. Wren Johnson has a unique honey boutique called Let It Bee in Oceanview, Oregon. There is an actual beehive in her store behind glass. Wren has a variety of products in her shop from candy to lip balm to lotions. I loved the description of her shop and could envision it in my mind. I like Wren who owns (well, as much as you can “own” a cat) Everett, a ...more

Thanks to the author for this book from a win on her FB page.

I don't read that many cozy mysteries but this was cute and fast moving. I enjoyed reading different ways you can use honey and a short history about bees.

I was most distressed when her cat Everett went missing since I'm a big cat lover myself but all turned out well w/Everett and the ending of this book of course.

This is the 1st in a new series by her so I might read #2.

My thanks to Kensington for providing me with an ARC copy of this book. I enjoyed the book overall…but… even though this was an ARC, there were some editorial issues that glared at me. The story was really good for the most part, but it definitely needed some stronger editing.

What I liked: Everett, the cat. What an amazing animal. I also liked Wren and her friend Porsche as well as Aunt Eloise. I loved the description of her store, the bees, and their importance to the environment. I also liked

First I would like to thank Goodreads for awarding me a copy of this book. I love cozies and I will definitely be on the lookout for others in this series and reading some other books by this author.
First I will say what I liked: I enjoyed the premise of a shop that sells items made from bee products, and I enjoyed the factoids that started each chapter. One thing I didn't really like was that even though recipes were included, it was not recipes of items mentioned in the book. For instance,

This is definitely a series to follow! Wren is a a shop owner in a small coastal town in Oregon. She has a passion for honeybees and her shop sells all things honey-related, much of which she makes herself. Wren is also a cat owner. These two facts are crucial because it is while walking her cat along the beach (yep, you read that right), that she discovers a murdered woman clutching the label from one of Wren's honey lip balms. And it just gets better from there. When the police suspect

Death Bee Comes Her is a great start to a new cozy mystery series! The Pacific Northwest setting is lovely. This book takes place during Oceanview’s Halloweentown week, after our main character Wren finds a dead body on the beach.

Wren owns a shop called Let It Bee, specializing in beeswax and honey products like lotion, candles, lip balm and candy.

Everett is Wren’s Havana Brown cat, and he’s a delightful edition to the story, reminiscent of Koko and Yum Yum from The Cat Who... series of books.

The Let It Bee boutique in Oceanview, Oregon keeps owner Wren Johnson busy. She sells lotions, candles, lip balms and candies made from bee honey.

When Wren discovers Agnes Snow dead on the beach she becomes a person of interest during the murder investigation.

There are lots of characters and plenty of suspects with motive. I enjoyed meeting sweet but feisty Aunt Eloise and store employee and friend Porsche who were willing to help Wren solve this murder mystery. Cat lovers will enjoy Wren's

I was going to give this book 3 stars. It was very much what I suspected from this type of murder mystery, nothing extraordinary, just exactly what you would expect. It is the first book in a new series so there were a lot of characters introduced making them a bit difficult to keep track of. I enjoyed Everett, a Havana Brown Cat. But at the very end I caught a mistake that made me knock the book down one star. I hope someone caught that error before the final printing. I received an advanced ...more

I received an ARC from Kensington Publishers & Goodreads.
This was a new author to me, i enjoyed this book and hope theres more to come.
It was fast paced & kept me interested with all the different events happening to Wren. Theres some humorous parts, maybe even a romance budding. The characters are down to earth and relatable. A lot of stuff happens to Wren, but she's determined to figure out who framed her for murder and why.

Wren is the owner of Let It Bee honey boutique. When Agnes Snow is found by Wren and her cat, Everett, facedown on the beach, clutching one of the labels from her lip balms Wren becomes a suspect in her murder. It doesn't help that Wren's Aunt Eloise and Agnes did not get along. Wren and her Aunt Eloise try to investigate but keep getting
