Jenna Hays McEachern worked in the University of Texas Sports Information Department while pursuing her degree in photojournalism at UT. She has been a freelance writer and editor for the past 30 years. Her published books, What It Means to be a Longhorn, 100 Things Longhorn Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die, DKR: The Royal Scrapbook, and the revised and updated version of 100 Things...(Triumph books, 2014) reflect her love for Longhorn football.
McEachern has studied with Natalie Goldberg, Erica Jong, Bill Loizeaux, and Saundra Goldman. She and her husband Randy, live in Austin, and have three children: Bailey and Hays McEachern, and Lester Simmons.
