Prophecies suck and being the “chosen one”? It’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

I was happy living my simple human life, but—as a Halfling—I can only pretend to be normal for so long. I never had any interest in attending the High Fae Academy for Gifted Supernaturals, but avoidance can only get you so far.

Sure, student life isn’t all terrible. I have five sexy Fae males w

I was given a free e-copy of this book through the For Love of a Book ARO program. This does not in any way change my opinion or rating. I try to express only my most honest opinion in a spoiler-free way. If you feel anything in my review is a spoiler and is not already hidden in spoiler brackets please let me know. Thank you.

So I did enjoy this book. There was plenty to like. Unfortunately, I just had too many issues with it to rate it any higher than a 3 star, even though I am interested in co

i received a free copy of this from the For Love of a Book ARO program, this did not affect my rating or review.

this was.... interesting. on one hand the start felt very rushed and i didn't like the writing at all, but it slowly got better, and then there was Rowan. Rowan just took the cake and was basically the entire reason i enjoyed this book. he was sarcastic and funny and took no shit and i loved it. i didn't really love much else, the characters were basic but ok, and the storyline wasn't

It was totally different from other books. And the academy is simply awesome. The story is mindblowing. The characters are relatable and written very well. I was captivated by the plot since the start. I just can't wait for the next book in the series.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

This first book of the series is a definite must read.
The characters draw you in and hold you captive, the realm they live in is beautifully brought to life and the story line is captivating.
I would highly recommend this to all Fae or Academy Romance lovers.

Ugh.
I cant even review it properly yet im still trying to wrap my brain around the entirety of the shit show. On the upside their were some positives so im trying to focus on them and chill out before writing an actual review.
But basically TLDR steer clear.
Like seriously run screaming unfortunately.
Consider this me taking one for the team and save yourself the headache.

High Fae Academy: Year One: Fae Paranormal Romance is the first book in the High Fae Academy series by Kaylin Peyerk. This is my first read by Ms. Peyerk, so I really didn’t know what to expect from her writing. But I really love a great fantasy story- and I’m not one to pass up a paranormal romance. So, I grabbed a copy and took the plunge. This isn’t my first paranormal, reverse harem college romance- so I was looking forward to seeing what Ms. Peyerk could do with the subject-matte

Let me start this review by saying this book has a kind of element I don't like in books, but even if it wasn't for that I don't think I would have enjoyed it better.

I'm not really into reverse harem kinds of books, but despite that I have enjoyed some, when it's written in a more organic and fluid way. High Fae Academy: Year One has a lot of elements I really enjoy in books and I am a fan of young adult and new adult fantasy books, but

High Fae Academy – Year One – Kaylin Peyerk

[I received this book free from the author in exchange for and honest review.]
Kaylin Peyerk is a new author for me, and boy am I glad to have discovered her. This book from the start reels you in and has you devouring it within hours. The book itself is a paranormal book based in the realm of the fae. Tiana the main character is half human and half fae who wants nothing to do with the magic she possesses, she is quite happy living her human life and sup

This book was a really enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to the next in the series. It started off kinda slow, but got really interesting about halfway through when we started to learn more about the characters and why Tiana was special. I really enjoyed how the author tried to take us through Tiana's journey and how she felt throughout her process. While reading, I felt really connected to Tiana, Lucian, and Rowan. The other characters felt a bit like strangers. Hopefully we see more from ...more

So many feels!

Tiana is my spirit animal. The bit before going to the academy could have been longer. But really liked her display of snarky magic. Loved the first 3 days of her at the academy. I felt like the time at the academy was actually longer than it was before the competition started. It seemed to start fairly early in the year. But makes since it only happens when Spirit King is on campus. But still.

Loved the interaction she had with the males. The tension she felt. The trainings they h

High Fae Academy was an enjoyable read looking at Tiana and her harem of merry Fae. Tiana has the chance to go to high Fae Academy when she is recruited by Odin due to her having the power of the five elements. But not everything is what it seems at the academy and Tiana must come to grips with accepting her powers, finding a true mate and maybe losing herself in the process.

There are certainly a lot of characters in this book, some who you get to know really well and some who I am assuming we w

High Fae Academy - Year One: Fae Paranormal Romance by Kaylin Peyerk is a sweet paranormal romance story that is a reverse harem. I am a fantasy paranormal lover and like them done well. Kaylin has done well with this first book but I wanted to see more character building as I couldn’t quite grasp a relationship with them and who they were/are. It also felt a little rushed in the start and did simmer down and I was able to fall into this intriguing story. Our Heroine suddenly finds her world tur ...more

This is one of those books that I couldn't put down, I devoured the entire story from cover to cover. High Fae Academy: Year One follows Tiana as she finds herself in the one place she had tried to avoid for her entire life. Surrounded by hot guys, who just happen to be her trainers at the academy and a pull to each of them which leaves her constantly confused Tiana must work to find her place within a world she never had any interest in before and a prophecy that could change everything. I'd de ...more

Quick entertaining read. I'm actually looking forward to seeing where this series goes. I kinda went into this one a little blind. I knew it had 2 things I liked, Fae and Academy type books. I wasnt prepared for Tiana's harem, harems arent typically my thing but I'm interested to see how this one plays out.
This story is different and enjoyable as well as all the characters, I really like them to. And there are A LOT of characters in this book. Sometimes I got a little confused with who was who,

I love this book! It follows Tiana, a half human and half fae who wishes she were fully human. In fact, she trys to hide her magic until she meets a handsome fae prince. It is an Academy story with a lot of romance, and I really enjoyed the romance in this story. I am writing an Academy story which is why i picked up this book, and fell in love with it!

Magical!

I would've given 5 stars, but I hate cliff-hangers with a passion. I would not continue reading this series if I had to wait to read to the end of it, even tho this is an amazing book. As it is a finished series, I will read the next one, and hope for a better conclusion. This book is too good for this type of ending. Enjoy!

Tianta has enter the school of the gifted raised I the human world she's got to adjust to those who have been in the supernst world all along. Cryena is a very straight to the point character. The boys are tricky but you want them. When Tianta doesn't know they help her understand. She realise there a different between human and Faes. I can't wait to read more I need to read more. ...more

I really wanted to enjoy this book. It was a first in the Fea/Fantasy genre for me. It just seems once it got to the point of only talking about the attraction and wanting to bump uglies, I couldn't keep listening. Not that I am a prude or anything, I just needed more of an interesting story. Maybe I will try again, but for now, I had to stop listening because it was not holding my interest. ...more

High Fae Academy Year One is a quick read with the short length it has and overall stays very shallow barely grazing the surface through it all.

There isn't much effort of world building and time to establish the FMC Tiana and set a certain mood for the story that's having a constant war and a prophecy for that war involved, like Tiana is going to be someone important according to the prophecy so I expected to see the war situation and it's effects through just Tiana's POV before being influence

Not for me.

I had high-ish hopes for this as the premise sounded pretty good. However the protagonist was so freaking annoying, and the ‘Kings’ surrounding her weren’t much better. The only character I liked was Rowan.

Enthralling

This book grabbed me from the start it kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending left me wanting more. This book was so enthralling that I read it from start to finish without stopping. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes magically inclined books or academy books.
