“Checking to ensure the king was dead, his murderer pulled the dagger from the monarch and rolled Zachary’s body onto its back. The king’s blood coated the ornate etchings on both sides of the knife. His dead eyes looking up toward the heavens, Zachary lay lifelessly on the tower floor.” -Chapter One

Where do I start on this review.... This book is absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never read anything like it before and I loved every minute of it. I started reading it late at night and finished early morning because I could not put it down.

This is a story about a King who is killed and his children have to figure out who killed him. There are lots of secrets and lies and deception among the family and the house hold staff. Plus there is one character that is a psychic and what she predi

Death of the King opens the Majesty series with more drama and intrigue from author Jake Biondi. It follows the Chamberlain family and their actions as the head of the family, who is also the king, is found dead in his chambers. No one seems to question that eldest son Tobias will take the crown, but the siblings are under a lot of strain to find the killer and assure the kingdom they are safe.

Biondi writes his books like a nighttime TV show and this book is visu

This was one book that I’m having a hard time reviewing. First, I must warn you, it is not just MM. It is also MF and good grief, everyone is sleeping with everyone. So yeah. The reason I gave it a higher rating is because the plot itself was good.
A tyrannical king who is murdered and no one knows who the real murderer is. Family is accusing family, no one trusts anyone. Everyone in the family is having an affair with someone already married, or with someone one of their siblings is sleeping wi

What a great new start to this series. There is murder, mayhem, betrayal, backstabbing, family drama, and uncertainty all within one prominent family, The Chamberlain’s. If you cannot trust your own family then who can you trust?

This is a book set back in the times of Kings and Queens. Zachary Chamberlain is the king in his kingdom. He has five children... Tobias, Lucas, Colton, Bryce and Bryce’s twin sister Clara. Life for each of the children has definitely been blessed but it has not been eas

I am a fan of this author and his Boystown series. I was very curious to see how he would write a story that takes place near the end of the middle ages. And the answer is a lot like his contemporary series. With family feuds, murder, deception, betrayal, and with sex and romance for hetero and gay couples alike.

As the story started unfolding, there was something about it that reminded me of Braveheart times

I so did not foresee me loving this book. Talk about being brilliantly blindsided. For one, it is a bit historical, actually, more medieval with the castles and knights and royal intrigue. That usually doesn’t work out too well for me, but it is perfect for this series. Then we have the point of view of nearly every character and storylines for them all…and wow, it was so needed because the road forward was beyond complicated, and everyone is essential to the plot. It was a true trainw

Complicated and exciting story!

Mr Biondi has transported us to medieval times and given us a story of palace intrigue, odd relationships, and far too many complicated characters! The King is dead - long live the king and his step-mother who he's been involved with. Brothers each in tangled relationships and it's hard to keep track of who everyone is involved with or scheming with! Certainly worthy of prime time soap operas!

Jake Biondi has done it again!!!!

While it isn't about BOYSTOWN this time, he has definitely created another series that will become another masterpiece! I loved reading about all the characters and their relationships. I didn't guess who the killer was and was shocked at the reveal all the same. And it has evil cliffhangers just like Boystown! I sure cannot wait to read more about this family and their rival families in Book 2!!
