In this short story, seven people are faced with overcoming their deepest urge in order to ensure a better future for themselves. Find out what happens if they fail.
The premise sounded quite interesting, 7 deadly sins, but the narration left much to be desired. In this short novella you'll find 7 people of different walks of life and origins in a church they can't leave. They are offered 50 grand when taking a pill. A nun is to rejuvenate by taking their sinful souls... So far so good. At parts there was something of an eerie atmosphere but overall the story was a bit confusing and repetitive. The characters weren't likable the whole setting not very plausible. I read a lot of horror and think this isn't the prime genre of this author. Nice try but the novella didn't fully convince me. Liked the cover, the idea with the nun and the subject though!
This was sooooooo good. It reminded me of that movie “Escape Room” but in a spookier way. Loved it!! This is probably 1 of my top 3 favorite Linette King books now🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🔥
The book was captivating and interesting. I saw the cardinal sins in each and was wishing the others had a real fighting chance of overcoming their sins before falling prey to their nature. In the end, it didn't matter, they all lost.
