My rating: 4.5 Stars!

Life tossed Hunter a wicked curve ball and she had two choices, sink or swim. Deciding to take the plunge to become independent, she takes her dream job and finds her chance to blossom among new friends, a fabulous boss and things seem just too good. Until they don’t and she finds herself caught up in a web of LITTLE WHITE LIES that everyone knows, but her. But is she being totally honest with her new friends?

Okay, I was not expecting that. Based on the cover (don't judge a book by its cover, lesson learned) I assumed this book was going to be different. I assumed we would have the typical bad boy, enemies to lovers romance, boy was I wrong.

First of all, let me introduce you to Hunter. One of the reason I loved this book it because of how much I relate to her. I understand how she lives the perfect life but just wants a fresh start away from expectations. Some might argue that she is ungrateful but

(audiobook) I didn’t especially liked this book, though I enjoyed a few elements.

Notably, the characters. Not everything about them–Hunter’s reaction to little lies, Braden’s propension to fall in love lightning fast–but they were kind of interesting, and their interactions were entertaining. I especially loved the friendship between Hunter and Xander, even more than the main couple.

Other elements, I didn’t care for, or didn’t understand why they were there in the first place. Like, what does th

This fabulous book is well written with interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. I enjoyed Jude Ouvrard’s wonderful writing style and the story and characters she created. They are realistic and easy to relate to. A young woman leaves home for the first time to settle in a new place and a new job. For Hunter Reed, this was the start of a new life. The prospect of a new life and a new start is exciting and scary at the same time.

She arrives in time to attend the company Halloween party, where she meets her other co-workers. There, she gets randy with a stranger in an Elvis costume, and somehow that stranger saves her from an attacker.

The writing is simple, and the diary format allows the reader to relate

Wonderful! I've volunteered to review these book for United Indie Book Blog. I love to read Jude Ouvrard stories. This is the first book in the Truth or Lies series. This is Hunter and Braden's story. Hunter just started a new job in a new city. While some of her co-workers brought her out with them. Hunter meets "Elvis" at this Halloween party. The story was fun and interesting. Not what I normally see coming from this author. Still it’s a wonderful story of friendship and learning. There are elements of surprise in here as well as a hot sexy Elvis. Which brings me to the lovable characters in this story. They are compassionate and attentive. I’m not sure who would be my fav. But I really liked Zander and wonder if he could get his own story 🙂. I loved the idea of them all working and hanging out together. I mean it could cause problem ...more

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Jude Ouvrard; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
