The Complete Idiot's Guide to Losing Weight

Rate this book
Are you fed up with fad diets and gimmicky programs that promise you miracle weight loss? The Complete Idiot's Guide to Losing Weight gives you straight answers about what really works and what doesn't. It may not be quick or trendy--there's no "10 days, 10 pounds" hype. But it's the truth, and it's essential to know the facts if you're going to master your weight. You learn about different weight-loss programs and theories, and how to choose a lifetime plan--not a temporary diet--that will work for you personally and keep you at a healthy weight. You learn about nutrition and exercise, explore the emotional aspects of your relationship with food, make an attitude adjustment, and kick-start your personal plan. The style is lively and friendly, and the information is divided into small, easy-to-swallow chunks. The pages are peppered with tidbits called "Guru's Corner" (wisdom from experts), "NutriTip" (bits of advice), "No Weigh" (cautions), and "Advice from Losers" who have successfully lost weight. Worksheets help you personalize the program and use the book most effectively. You can't go wrong planning your weight-loss success with the help of this useful book. --Joan Price

Counting calories and exercise...it works. It's also a hassle and difficult to keep up, but if you persevere...it works.
