Alpha (noun):
1) Having the highest rank in a dominance hierarchy
2) The most powerful man in a group
3) Liam Black

He was a stranger to me, a dark and dangerous presence who materialized from the shadows one rainy night to save me from a vicious attack. I didn’t know his name or where he was from. All I knew was that the only place I’d ever felt safe was in his arms.

But safety is an illusion.
And not every savior is a hero.
And—as I’d soon find out—having an alpha save your life comes with a price.

Liam Black wanted something from me in return.

4 Smut Scale Stars

This was recommended to me by about four different people last week (not sure what prompted said influx...but, thanks peeps!) and so I decided to give it a go. Based on the blurb, etc., it had so many elements I love, e.g., alpha male/anti-hero, mafia, debt, that I'm actually really surprised this book wasn't already my radar.

That said, I really enjoyed this thing. I adored Liam and his badassery; and I thought his and Tru's "courtship" and relationship was super adorable. And the sex scenes?

SO good, people. Seriously, their chemistry was off the charts and I will definitely read more from this author if "uber awesome sex scene writing" is one of her life skills.

So why not five stars?

Not gonna lie, the ending was fairly weak in my opinion. I felt like it jumped the shark a bit...it made me roll my eyes as it was a little too convenient and somewhat out of left field...in a very vanilla way.

Other than that...yum.

***5 STARS***

Reread November 15, 2021

What can I say about this book except it was wonderful! Beautifully written and it grabbed me from the first word until the last. I could not put it down.

Liam Black is a man obsessed. He has been coming into the diner where Truvy works for eleven months just to stare at her. He doesn't say anything...just watches her. He cannot stop himself. Finally Truvy decides she wants to talk to this gorgeous man dressed in Armani suits and they begin.

I found Liam to be the ultimate sexy, gorgeous badass hero. He checks off all of the criteria. Handsome (check), rich (check), dangerous (check), mysterious (check), alpha (check) and the list goes on and on. Truvy was a no nonsense heroine that was not mild in temperament at all which provided the best compliment to Liam.

I loved it. I was wondering how the author was going to weave their story and boy was there a lot of action and sizzling hot passion between this couple. The chemistry between these two was hot, hot, hot and the love scenes (whew). This book had it all.

If you are looking for a bad boy then Liam fits the bill. I highly recommend this book.

This book CONSUMED me. You know when you pick up a book and the very first paragraph just grabs you and takes over your life until you finish the book? That's THIS book. Beautifully Cruel is my new favorite of 2020.

Why did I love it so much? First, like I said it pulled me in immediately and I didn't want to stop reading. I didn't even want to stop reading when I got to the end. I want more of this couple. I loved both of them so much.

Liam was so intense. I just love those big, tatted, broody men who everyone is afraid of except for the heroine. This is Liam. His name created fear in everyone around him. The heroine wasn't afraid only because she was newish to town and didn't know his name. I don't want to give too much away with Liam but he is like a wolf in sheep's clothing. If you can fall in love with a fictional character, it'd be him.

Truvy was everything I want to see in a heroine. As much as I love and care more about how a hero is in a book, when I get a heroine like her, it makes a book special for me. Tru makes this book MORE. Don't you want to read about a woman who, even though she's drooling all over the guy, she still has enough self respect that she won't settle. That's Tru. Man I loved her!

I hope I have expressed how much I love this book because it is one that I feel like I couldn't convey enough how much I loved it.

If I just say wow is that enough of a review, because WOW!! I honestly hope that’s enough to get you to #oneclick immediately because I’m not saying anything else.

Okay, maybe one thing … I do not know who I’m in love with more, Liam or Tru. They both made me shiver in deliciously different ways. READ THE BOOK to find out why!

Absolutely LOVED this

Holy CHEMISTRY - this couple has it from the very first page! I still cannot believe how quickly I devoured this intense, sexy, guilty pleasure of a read - the connection between the characters was there from the very beginning, and I just settled back and enjoyed the unpredictable ride. It’s banter-filled and sexy with combustible chemistry. JT Geissinger writes in a variety of genres so I was not really sure what to expect from this until I realized who the star is (this stands completely on its own, but if you’ve read her Dangerous Beauty trilogy, you’re in for a treat - and will probably handle all of the revelations better). It kept me guessing with twists, turns, and a couple who heat up the pages. This antihero is a big bad wolf of a man; the kind of guy you know is bad but want anyway. Our heroine makes his perfect complement - strong and fiery, constantly pushing back and demanding more. It made for quite the combination and a read that I couldn't put down.

The story follows Tru, a law student who works at a diner to pay the bills. For the last eleven months, a mysterious stranger has been frequenting the diner, and she's not quite sure what to make of him. He's clearly trouble, but the kind that she might be okay with. It's not until Tru finds herself in a bad situation that the sexy stranger starts revealing more about his life - and it's more complicated than Tru could've ever bargained for. But now that he has Tru in his sights, he's not stopping until he gets what he wants.

Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, it took a different direction - and I loved that. I was kept in a constant state of tension, which paired perfectly with all of the sizzling chemistry these two characters have. It's intense and engrossing with a dark humor that just really works for the story. I thought this might get too dark for me - it is a mafia romance after all - but all I felt for our hero was love. Geissinger wrote the perfect heroine for this; had Tru not been such a strong, smart woman, it could've easily headed in the wrong direction, but she didn't let this alpha hero walk all over her. They have such great banter and a connection that’s so obvious that it makes the reader want to keep reading. It's the kind of book that keeps you thinking about the characters long after you finish turning the pages, and what a steamy, wild ride it was. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC via Social Butterfly PR (then purchased it for my collection) and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy, suspenseful book.

Beautifully Cruel is a brand new stand alone romance by J.T. Geissinger. This is one of those books that I had a pretty good idea going in that I was going to love. I devoured this book. I couldn’t put it down. So yes, I can say that my intuition was correct!

Truvy (Tru) Sullivan is twenty four years old. She’s in her final year of law school in Boston and works as a waitress at Buddy’s Diner. For eleven months the man in black whom Tru has nicknamed The Wolf, has been coming in to the diner. He sits and drinks a cup of coffee while staring at her, then he leaves. Tru has no idea who he is or why he keeps coming in, why he never talks to her. But then he saves her. She had no idea who he was. But in his arms, she somehow just knew she was safe.

“Wolves might mate for life, but they’re still dangerous wild animals.”

I don’t want to tell you much about Liam Black. I want you to discover it as you read the book just as I did. I will tell you that this man is sexy as sin. He has an Irish brogue, he’s tough as nails, but can also be tender and loving. And he is obsessed with Tru Sullivan.

“She’s my match. The yang to my yin. The light to my darkness. She’s what I didn’t know I’d been missing all these years, a soft place to fall.”

man undressing

I loved this book! Usually it’s the sexy hero that I want to go on and on about, and believe me, I could with Liam. But in this book, it was Tru that had me falling in love. This woman is full of snark, and stands up to Liam like no one else has ever dared. She’s smart and strong and so darn courageous. You could probably classify this as a dark romance but really, Tru had me smiling so much. She was the perfect match for Liam.

J.T. Geissinger never fails to amaze me with every book she releases. I know every time that I will be in for a surprise. And with this book, she did it again. She gave us characters to once again fall in love with, who we’ll continue to think about long after the final page.

“I had it all under control. But, I never expected you.”

I went into Beautifully Cruel expecting a suspense-filled romance and was surprised to find it was so much more! This love story starts off after a shocking event, giving us a preview of what to expect leading up to the very HEA ending. The main characters were both amazing; Truvy provided much needed comic relief from what could have been a darker, angsty story while Liam was a delicious and dangerous enigma with a heartbreaking past that made him the man he was today.

I could be a little biased; I’m a sucker for anything featuring a dangerous, handsome Irishman, picturing Collin Ferrell as Liam, but I know that’s not it. This incredible story pulled me in and held me on the edge of my seat all the way to the amazing end.

“She’s my match. The yang to my yin. The light to my darkness. She’s what I didn’t know I’d been missing all these years: a soft place to fall.”

Truvy Sullivan moved to Boston, from a small town in Texas, with her now ex-boyfriend to go to law school. Tru is about to graduate and is studying to take the bar exam, and still works nights at a small diner to help ends meet. She’s infatuated by a mysterious regular customer who comes in for coffee every now and then, who she’s nicknamed Wolf. She doesn’t know why but the quiet, older handsome man gives her a bit of a dangerous vibe.

“Now I understand how otherwise rational people can snap and commit violent acts. The human body wasn’t designed to contain so much emotion.”

Liam Black has been coming to the diner to have a cup of coffee while staring at Truvy for eleven months. He’s been content just to look at her, rarely speaking to the quiet and shy waitress, until one night she shocks him by talking to him. And later, after rescuing her from a vicious attack, he’s surprised to find out how mistaken he was; the little mouse is a lioness, one he’d like to devour.

“What am I?” “A man standing on top of a mountain of bones.” “It was either climb to the top or be one of the skeletons.”

When Truvy discovers who Liam really is, she’s intrigued, and a little bit wary. After Liam makes surprising decision things take an unexpected turn, taking a reluctant Truvy along for the ride. And what an adventure it turns out to be!

“What do you do when you have to decide between two impossible choices? Create a third.”

Get comfortable and expect to be surprised, you’re going to enjoy it immensely.

“Revenge is good medicine.”

Don’t mistake me for something I’m not, Tru.”
“Like what?”
“A good man.”

If you like:
Intense, protective, and possessive alpha males
Fierce and I mean FIERCE, take charge and sharp witted heroines that take no bs
a story that will keep you glued to the pages from cover to cover
a mother of all plot twists that you will SALIVATE OVER

There is only one word to describe this book: ADDICTIVE. I couldn't get enough of Liam Black. I couldn't get enough of this story. I couldn't get enough of this romance. I devoured this in one intense sitting. SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

Y'all. It is really no secret that I live for JT Geissinger's books. The woman can write an alpha male like no other. But what I love most about her writing are her heroines. They're fierce, take no prisoners, rescue themselves sort of females and I am so here for it. But when I tell you that Tru may have easily been one of my favorite heroines of hers to date, that's saying something. There's just something to be said for a woman that's shy but is also a sharp witted ball buster.
I don’t know what kind of women you’re used to, but my mother didn’t raise a worker bee. She raised a queen.” I stare at him without smiling. “And I don’t give away the honey for free.”

GAH. Do you see what I mean?

So here's the thing, that blurb is vague AF. And there's a good reason. You want this story to take you by surprise and go into it totally blind. Trust me on this. Avoid reviews and just read it. There's so much that can be a spoiler, so of course my review will be vague AF.

What I will tell you is that the romance was incendiary. The characters were amazing. And the story was addictive. And there's a surprise to beat surprises if you've read Geissinger's other books. I won't tell you which one, but just trust me. READ THIS. You will not want to miss this.

I inhaled this story in one breathless sitting. It was a page-turner from beginning to finish and I cannot recommend it enough!

the first half of this book is still 5 stars for me the second time reading this, but the last half once again prevents me from rounding this rating up. still love this couple so much tho!

4.5 stars

In J.T. Geissinger, I trust! She's the only author that can make me fall in love with insta-lust romances... I don't know HOW she does it, but keep it up ma'am. The biggest crime of this book is that you really named one of your characters 'TRUVY'. Excuse me, but what the hell. When I googled the name, this was the result:
Derived from the Old High German Geretrudis, a compound name composed of the elements ger (spear) and trut (maiden, dear) or þruþ (strength). The name Gertrude was introduced to England in the Middle Ages by German immigrants.

GERETRUDIS GERETRUDIS?????? My girl didn't deserve this. This is the 21st century, not the middle age... I feel so offened on behalf of my girl Truvy.... Yes, I'm fully aware that i'm discriminating names here and I don't care, but you have MILLIONS of names that you can choose from and you give one of your characters something that is derived from G-e-r-e-t-r-u-d-i-s. That's just unacceptable. 😭

(give me a second to get over this)

I'm still not over it, but we have to move on. 💀

tropes: H obsessed with h, age-gap (h is 24, H is 39), captor-captive (very, very very very mild), mafia (but even that is a stretch lol)

Beautifully Cruel is about Truvy Sullivan (h) and Liam Black (H). Truvy is working at a Diner as a waitress where Liam has been coming for the last 11 months just watching her. Liam comes to the Diner and only wants Tru to serve him, but they don't really talk. One day Tru needs to take the trash outside and gets assaulted by some guys who wants to robb the diner. These guys beat her up and before anything worse can happen Liam appears and kills them. Liam takes Tru to the hospital and cares for her. Liam's plan is to disappear once Tru is back at home, but he can't stay away from her, even if he want to, cause he lives a dangerous life and he doesn't want to put Tru at risk. There is a lot of push and pull between them, because Liam is so conflicted, but still comes back every time, until he propose a new plan that they spend 28 days together before they go their separates ways. (that didn't give me 365 days vibes at all lmao)
She's my match. The yang to my yin. The light to my darkness. She's what I didn't know I'd been missing all these years: a soft place to fall.

I love both characters so much!! Truvy, if I forget the name, is my kind of girl. She's an introvert, when she's nervous she can produce some word-vomit, but at the same time she has so much sass and backbone. It may seem like she's some damsel in distress, because Liam had to rescue her from these robbers, but Tru didn't go out without a fight. I really adore her fierce spirit.

I'm not a wilting flower, or a weakling, or a damn damsel in distress. I'm the daughter of an iron-willed Southern woman who turns grown men into frightened children when she gets angry. I've got her fire in my veins, her pride and self-respect, and I won't be carted off like a bag of groceries and turned to mindless mush by a bossy Irish mobster, no matter how much I like the way he kisses. I push Liam away and slap him across the face.

Liam is the definition of dark-broody but completely trash soft for his love interest. He embodied being trash for the heroine to a tea. Do I really understand his unhealthy obsession with Tru where he watches her for 11 months without doing anything about it? No not really, but most of the time when the one person obsesses over the other character, the obsession doesn't make any sense, so lemme look away. I still love it anyway when it's the Hero who is obsessed. As Boston's mafia boss it's dangerous for him to get involved with anyone, so he is set not to act on his attraction to Tru. It could been frustrating to read their push and pull, but somehow I found it more endearing how hard Liam tried to stay away but he really can't do it. My boy never stood a chance.

It was comedy, how Liam at the beginning was all: "No, I'm not going to force you to spend 28 days with me if you don't want to. You can say NO. I'm really not a good guy, you totally should say no. It's not in your interest to get associated with a guy like me" and then when Tru says "No". Liam is all like:

After some time trying to honor her wishes and stay away from her, Liam doesn't have one fuck left to give and is all about "I hear you Tru, I see you Tru, but I don't care anymore. My obsession is getting out of hand. I'm just going to kidnapp you against you're will" 💅 The best character development goes to ✨ LIAM BLACK
After a moment, he says, "Just for clarity's sake, I'm not in the mafia." His voice drops an octave. "I am the mafia."

As I'm storming out of the bedroom, Liam calls after me, "What do you want for breakfast?"
"Your head on a platter!"

I mentioned at the start that Liam and Tru's romance is pretty insta-lust and I don't mind it. Don't ask my why. To this day it's still a mystery why J.T. Geissinger's book with her insta-love trope doesn't make me roll my eyes. Maybe because her heroes are soo swooonny??? idk.

Liam and Tru were the cutest beans!! I loved their banter so much when Tru stayed those 28 days with Liam (unwillingly). Tru not taking any of Liam's kidnapper shit and Liam staying pretty much unbothered with everything she throws at him (literally) as long as Tru is close by. Nothing more to add to that besides that I loved them individually and together.
"You're wasting time with all this unnecessary outrage. Let's move on to something more important: how long are you going to be mad at me? My dick is aching for you, and I need to hear you scream my name again. Like within the next five minutes."
"Get used to disappointment."
He raised his head and stares deep into my eyes. "You could never disappoint me. Even if you don't let me touch you again for the next month, it will still be the best month of my life, because we'll be spending it together."

🥺🥺🥺 LIAM 🥺🥺🥺 I can't believe they are talking about putting his dick in her and Liam has the ability to make me soft. What kind of sorcery is this???? Sir please kidnapp me too!!!

I really stayed up until 5am to finish this book. It's been so long since I've started a book and read it in one sitting without getting bored and even stayed up this late to finish it. For a good while it seemed like Beautifully Cruel was going to be a 5 star read, but towards the second half when Tru and Liam settled into their routine, I don't know how to describe it. It's not like I was bored with them, otherwise I'd would put the book down and went to bed, but the whole story wasn't as engaging as before. That exciting feeling when you're squealing at the couple's interactions and banter was just missing. Idk how to say it differently and it's probably more of a me problem than that it is the book's fault.

Another aspect I wasn't really a fan of is the ending and the chapters leading to it. // SPOILER // Somehow I don't like it when the characters have to go into hiding for the rest of their live and leave their life behind. So Liam wanted out of all the mafia business, because otherwise it would been too dangerous to be together with Tru, so he goes into hiding and lives with Tru in Argentina, while his twin brother Killian's pretending to be him. Tru has to leave her work, her family and her friends behind and that just doesn't sit well with me. Liam has been working his way up for so many years.. he's richer than god so I don't understand why he couldn't just keep his job while being together with Tru. He has enough money to hire some well trained bodyguards to protect Tru in case his enemies want her dead. Liam could easily ditch the gangster thing without going into hiding.

Ending aside, I love love love Liam and Tru and I can see myself rereading their story many times in the future. Beautifully Cruel is a huge contender to be in my Top 10 romances of 2021.

24-year-old Truvy (Tru) Sullivan studies law in Boston and works as a waitress in a local diner. For 11 months, a mysterious tattooed man dressed in Armani suits (whom she calls "wolf") comes to the restaurant, drinks coffee and just stares at her... then gets up and leave. 😱

📚 "𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬…𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬?" 📚

He never sits in other waitress areas... He never talk to her... She has no idea what his name is, how old is he or what he does for a living... but she has no doubt he is trouble. 💥

I won't tell you much about Liam Black, because one of the things I enjoyed most about this book, was finding out the answer myself. 😉❤

But then... he saves her and gives her an offer she can't refuse. 🐺🐺🐺

📚 "𝐌𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐥𝐟. 𝐌𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐦𝐞.

OH MY GOD, I loved this book! 😍
J.T. Geissinger is one of my favorite authors and with this book, she reminded me why I love to read so much - for the thrill, passion, fun and mystery... and let me tell you, it HAD IT ALL! 🔥❤

Tru was awesome - full of spunk, wit and power. I couldn't stop laughing because of her big mouth! 😍
And Liam? God have mercy, Liam Black is the definition of an alpha, but not the typical cliche one.
Oh boy, he was so fucking sexy that I had to stop myself from licking my Kindle's screen!!! 😂🐺

📚 “𝐈’𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞.” 📚

Yes, there were some parts that made me roll my eyes, but book with an Alpha Hero doesn't make you do that...?

This book is the full package: it has romance, action, great chemistry and it will make you laugh out loud - with characters so different, but they match like two pieces of a puzzle. ❤💥

my recommendation? Don't read reviews with spoilers and don't wait another second... just start reading.
NOW!!! 👑🐺

MY REVIEW AND OTHERS: can also be found on my blog:

'BEAUTIFULLY CRUEL' Is a full length romance novel by new to me author J.T. Geissinger.

Taking a day off from arcs I decided on this beauty, I’d seen it boomeranged all over my social media feeds, looked at the cover, glimpsed over the synopsis and I was sold! I’m so glad I took that plunge.
This book was beyond amazing!
I felt like I was under some sort of voodoo spell because this book put my life on hold, I had so much I had to do today, but as soon as I jumped on chapter one that was it, hooked, inhaled.
And I'm sitting here struggling to find the right words to convey how much I loved this one, perfection and unique in every sense of the word.

The push and pull, the suspense, the banter, the heat, made for one high octane un-put-downable read!!

Now I've got everything crossed hoping that we get another book in this world!! Because I really want to see the roomy and that hot twin *winks* get her HEA.

Awww, shucks.

Y'all know I have a girl crush on JT (for like, ever) and not only do I find her a breath of fresh uncontrived air in this here contemporary romance genre, I also usually rate her books 4 stars or above.

Which is why I find myself in unchartered territory, made murkier by the news that she lost her mum late last year (may her soul rest in peace).

Anyhoos, I'm not gonna rate this, but suffice to say it wasn't a favourite.

Although there is some mafia story in it, this is not a dark book at all. It is a hearts and flowers kind of book; one that is sweet, sexy and fun. All it is about is love. So if you are looking for a dark mafia book with lots of action in it, this is not it. I don’t like mafia romance that much so this one worked for me 😊

I loved both characters but the heroine Tru is my favorite. I usually dislike the heroines romance writers create because they tend to create women without a backbone and most of them are either awkward and silly or they are a pushover. However, Ms Geissinger's women are always adorable.

Tru may seem to be shy at first but she is no pushover. When she is confronted with a difficult situation, she shows how strong she is. She is indeed a firecracker 😊 Although Liam, the hero, is a very strong alpha character, Tru was never afraid of speaking her mind. She was never afraid to confront the other mafia members either, she never let them walk all over her.

Tru has a lot of sass and her banter with Liam is delicious. Well, no one writes fun and sexy banter between a man and a woman better than Ms. Geissinger so when the book starts with their sweet banter, I thought just how much I had missed Ms Geissinger’s writing.

Tru is a law student but she also works at a diner to support herself. She is 24 years old.

Liam is a man whose job we didn’t know until towards the end of the book. He is 39 years old so there is a 15 years age gap between them.

For the past eleven months, Liam has been coming to the diner where she works just to watch her. He looks like a man obsessed with her. As he’s never said anything, she's not sure what to make of his intentions.

Although it is clear that he's a dangerous man, Tru still wants to get to know him better because she feels attracted to him. That’s why, finally, she decides to talk to this mysterious man who always comes to the diner in expensive suits.

And when she starts to talk to him, Liam slowly starts to see that he has underestimated her thinking that she was shy. She is in fact a smart and sassy woman under that shy exterior. And the more they talk, the more attracted they feel towards each other but Liam knows that she would be in danger if she were with him so he tries to stay away as he did for the past 11 months. And also, he constantly warns her that she should stay away from him and say “No” to him because he is dangerous but she doesn’t listen to him. And, each time he decides that he will never come back to that diner again, he breaks his own promise.

Liam fears a long-term relationship will eventually harm her so he finds another solution that I didn’t like. He suggests that they live together in his house for 28 days and then never see each other again. He also says that she should be smart and say “No” to him. I was afraid that she would be stupid enough to say "yes" but she surprised me with her logical answer. She knew it would hurt her when they had to break up and she didn't want a short-time relationship. She wanted more. I was happy with her decision.

Up until that part, I was really loving the book but then something happened and I was pissed at our hero for a while.

After they solve this problem, 3 weeks pass in pure bliss until something happens that separates them for a short time and then we have the happy end, don’t worry 😊

Actually, the book doesn’t have a complicated plot. Nothing much happens other than their time together and the problem of him being in the mafia and her being in danger with him. They needed a clean solution and that part was the plot twist. It was good and I liked how things ended.

We learn that Liam had a girlfriend 18 years ago and she died and Tru had a boyfriend who cheated on her but it is only mentioned in one or two sentences and no one is caught up on their ex so no problem.

Well, there is one man who feels something for the heroine and causes some trouble but it is nothing to be bothered about as she sees him only as a friend.

Killian from Dangerous Beauty trilogy also makes an appearance in this book. I never liked him in that trilogy but here we learn how awful his life was when he was a child so I felt sorry for him.

And he was cute in this book… at least he didn’t get on my nerves as he did in that trilogy.

All in all, this book was a good one that made me feel as it always happens in Ms. Geissinger's books. Maybe this one was not one of her epic books for me but still it was good enough to get solid 4 stars from me.

You should really read the Acknowledgements in this book. It is a quite heart-felt one.

I am sorry for your loss Ms Geissinger ☹

Here are a few QUOTES from the book 😊

This is how he watches her all the time in the diner…

He’s waiting. Watching me. Unsmiling as always, with burning dark eyes and the kind of focus and stillness I’ve only ever seen in documentaries of big cats as they lie in wait in tall grasses for a gazelle to pass. This is always how he looks at me: in hunger and silence. But unlike an African cat on the prowl, the wolf’s gaze holds something wary underneath. A kind of enforced restraint.

He does his impression of a sphinx and stares at me, his gaze turning from blistering to coolly impenetrable. The man has perfected being enigmatic to an art.

He slants me a look that I think is meant to convey amusement, but is smoldering instead. The man can’t help it. His default setting is raging inferno.

This is how Diego, who also has feelings for Tru, describes the situation with Liam.

“You’re beautiful, chica.”
Surprised, I open my eyes and look at Diego. He stares back at me with a grim set to his mouth.
“Beautiful and sweet. And smart. And funny. I’ve been watching guys come in here and get boners over you for two years. But I’ve never seen any man look at any woman the way that fucker looks at you.”
I hesitate to ask, but curiosity gets the better of me. “How does he look at me?”
“Like he’ll die if he doesn’t.”

This is a good example of our heroine’s temper 😊

When my ex cheated on me six months after we moved to Boston together, I threw all his clothes into a big pile in the middle of the sidewalk and lit the pile on fire. I might be an introvert, but I’ve got a temper, and I hold a grudge like nobody’s business.

And here you can see how much sass she has. In the diner, while he was talking to her, he wants her to take her hair down and then he has to listen to her for five minutes until she finishes her tirade😊

He issues a startling command. “Take your hair down.”
I arch my brows. “Excuse me?”
“Your hair. Take it out of the bun.”

Okay, so he’s got the whole alpha male thing going on. He’s probably used to issuing orders and having his minions peep in terror and scatter to do his bidding. Unfortunately for him, I’m just as stubborn as I am hot-tempered and grudge- holding. The only orders I take are for food.

“First things first. Tell me your name. Then maybe we’ll exchange phone numbers. Then maybe we’ll go on a date. You don’t really look like a guy who goes miniature golfing, so…dinner? Yes. Dinner. You’ll take me somewhere nice, I’ll laugh at all your jokes, we’ll get to know each other. Then maybe at some point down the line after a few more dates, I’ll take down my hair for you. But that’s something you earn. I don’t know what kind of women you’re used to, but my mother didn’t raise a worker bee. She raised a queen.”

I stare at him without smiling. “And I don’t give away the honey for free.”

He’s silent for so long it gets uncomfortable. But then he leans over the table, threads his fingers together, and looks me in the eyes. His own are fierce and burning. “And here I thought you were shy.”

“I am,” I say, nodding. “Especially with strangers. Tongue-tied and awkward, too. That doesn’t mean I’m a pushover. I live most of my life in my head, but the knives come out when necessary .”

The wolf stares at me. I have never, ever, been looked at with such intensity.

For a long while, she doesn’t know who Liam really is…

I loved how obsessed Liam was with Tru.

“Can you appreciate at all how strange this is for me?”
After a beat, he answers, his voice an octave lower. “Aye, lass. I can. It’s strange for me, too.”
“How is it strange for you? This is your rodeo.”
He growls, “Because I’ve never been obsessed with a woman the way I am with you.”
The raw honesty in his voice stops me short. I whisper, “Really?”
“Aye. I feel like a filthy fucking addict.”
I sit with that for a moment, enjoying it.

I gasp, writhing. “I’m not your fuck toy, dammit!”
“No, you’re not my fuck toy,” he says against my neck, his voice husky. “You’re my queen bee. My unhealthy obsession. The reason I haven’t been able to sleep in a goddamn year.”

I whisper urgently, “Promise me something.”
“Anything,” he says instantly. “Name it.”
“Don’t let me fall in love with you.”
He whispers, “Could you?”
Oh god. He wants it. He wants me to fall in love with him.
My voice shaking, I say, “I’m halfway there already.”
He looks like I’ve just stabbed him in the gut.

❝My wolf. My deadly protector, a dark knight in Armani armor ripping to shreds those who dare to harm me.❞

I almost DFN'd this book because it wasn't what I expected at all. Don't get me wrong, I was liking the first chapters, but then it all went downhill.

When I finally finished it, I asked myself: Did I read the same book as everyone else? 😬

I know I'm going to be the exception here, so I'm sorry. Everyone seems to be liking Beautifully Cruel, but I just couldn't. My mind keeps trying to find something to mention in this review that I did like, but seems like there's nothing.

I struggled sooo hard to even pass the 50% of the book and I was bored all the time while reading it (nothing interesting was happening), I feel bad for saying this because I know many people loved it☹️

After having seen good reviews from this book, I thought: "Okay, this sounds pretty good and has the kind of tropes I tend to like".
Well, guess I was wrong...😅

My main problem was the MC's. I felt like the whole "romance" was just insta lust/love and a lot of obsession mostly from Liam's side. Like seriously, I don't get the hype about his character at all.
I didn't care about their stories or what they did in their lives because they were mostly having sex all the time🙄, and I didn't felt the chemistry/connection between them. I would have wanted more depth throughout the story, more evolution from the MC's, etc. I mean, where was all of that? Did I just missed something or...?

As I already said, this just wasn't for me. I don't think it was the book, I just couldn't connect with it.

P.S. This is just my opinion, sorry if you loved this book🙈🙈

My wolf. My deadly protector, dark knight in Armani armor ripping to shreds those who dare to harm me.

Beautifully Cruel was a hell of a hot book. But I regress, J.T. Geissinger's books always are. I've come at a point where she's an auto click author for me. It wasn't my first book from her and it won't be the last. There's really a reason why I love her books. From her impeccable writing to her intense characters, everything's right up my alley. And this one was no different. I really enjoyed the beginning of this story and let me tell you, I was practically salivating at what was to come. It was sinfully delicious and smoldering hot with some off-the-charts chemistry. I love filthy and scandalously explicit scenes but more than that, I loved how Geissinger's words fed my addiction. It's all kinds of sexy. There is nothing lacking in that department.

Good guy who does bad things…or bad guy who does good things?

They say devils are made, not born and Liam Black is no different. He was the ultimate alpha male. So possessive, intense and obstinate. At first, I really thought Liam was a bad guy who does good things. But by the end, it was clear it was the opposite. It was not the change I was expecting cause I initially thought it was a mafia romance. It's not really mafia and not as action-packed as I would've liked but good nonetheless. This is a story that will keep you captive from the very first word until the very last word. The heat level was insane! Liam and Tru were explosive together. She certainly tamed the wolf in a certain way. Both have experienced traumatic pasts and carry scars buried deep below the surface. Their instant connection expands into a raw and obsessive romance as the story progresses.

She’s my match. The yang to my yin. The light to my darkness. She’s what I didn’t know I’d been missing all these years: a soft place to fall.

These characters give you a run for your money, the interactions and the dynamic between Tru and Liam was mesmerizing. A great story that was so engaging, with a kickass, spunky heroine and a sexy, bossy guy that will leave you wanting more and more of his sexy smoldering ways.

Goddamn bossy men. I should start a women’s group for survivors of alpha males. There are probably millions of us worldwide, nursing bruised hopes, hearts, and uteruses.

5 Queen Bee Stars ⭐

Nobody messes with Liam Black unless you’re a diner waitress that he’s been lusting after. Each time he goes to Buddy’s All Night Diner, he insists it’s the last. And yet he finds himself returning. But it all comes to a head when the beautifully awkward waitress attempts conversation, and he’s officially charmed…

I blurt, "I do love wild places. And wild things."

Holding my gaze, the wolf says softly, "Do you." It isn’t a question. He says it as if he’s mulling it over. Considering what types of wild things, I might particularly enjoy.

With his dark handsome looks and Irish Brogue, Truvy doesn’t need many details to be smitten with the mysterious man who continues sitting in her section. However, the more that Liam insists that he is not good for her, it falls on deaf ears, because he has underestimated the beautiful girl he once thought shy.

"I don’t know what kind of women you’re used to, but my mother didn’t raise a worker bee. She raised a queen."

I stare at him without smiling. "And I don’t give away the honey for free."

There is no denying that a relationship would be dangerous and reckless. Nevertheless, the connection and understanding that Liam and Truvy share is impossible to ignore. And ultimately living is for the risk takers. And neither of them are taking no for an answer.

Beautifully Cruel was exactly what I wished for. Characters that were honourable regardless of their shady pasts and an attraction that sizzled. I loved Liam's aura of danger and his vulnerability towards Tru. She in turn provided the perfect compassion and backbone to handle a man such as Liam. They were adorable together. And of course, wonderful writing and dialogue from JT Geisinger.

"She’s my match. The yang to my yin. The light to my darkness.

She’s what I didn’t know I’d been missing all these years: a soft place to fall."

Overall Opinion: This was a cute, sweet read! I agree with other reviewers and will say that if you are looking for a gritty mafia romance — this is not for you. I appreciated the h’s strength and I also liked the H’s alpha tendencies. I liked their relationship and the overall premise. I did, however, feel like there was too little conflict and the ending was lackluster. It was all just a little too easy...

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Tru and Liam’s story. Tru is working in a greasy diner to help work her way through law school and she always has this hot, mysterious customer dine in her section. After about 11 months of serving him, she finally decides enough is enough and starts a conversation with him. Liam is a dangerous man and fights with himself regularly about pursuing Tru, but he eventually gives in to his obsession and starts his strong pursuit after she starts talking to him. Thee are some secrets revealed, a suspenseful scene, and some hot sexy times...and they get a HFN ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Tru (mainly) and Liam’s POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I thought it flowed well and I never skimmed.

Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.

H (Hero) rating: 4 stars. Liam. I liked him. He was pushy, possessive, and protective...and oh so alpha!

h (heroine) rating: 4 stars. Tru. I liked her. I appreciated how she didn’t let the H scare her or push her around.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes, but mild

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had pretty good closure but what I would call a HFN ending

Safety: This one should be Safe for most safety gang readers

Wow okay, this book really surprised me. I was expecting a very dark/stalker story but it was a little light for my liking but still I really enjoyed this book just the way it is... It was full of romance/rom-com/mystery/suspence. Long story short this book was full of action!!!

Ps. Tru is a very strong lady and I liked her so much. Also you have to meet with Liam Black. Ohhh he is sooo good. 🔥🔥🔥

I like to think I’ve become more well versed in the art of dark and mafia romances since the first time I read this book back in 2020. And whereas before my initial feelings towards this book were conflicted, now stories like these - men like these - are my kryptonite. It disturbingly speaks to me. They’re my love language?

I enjoyed this book so much more the second time round. All about that mafia life now.

You can take this review with a grain of salt since I don’t read mafia romances, but other than it being addicting, it didn’t have as much substance as I would’ve liked.

The hero’s character was too secretive. Which I understood but it didn’t leave much room for development. Or any for that matter. We only find out towards the end and that was a little too late for my liking.
Had we had more of Liam’s POV’s, it would’ve made a difference. It would’ve been great to get an insight into what his job entailed. But we got nada, people.

We got a lot sex - not that I’m complaining - but not enough of anything else, really. Not much that mattered, anyway.
And the alpha-ness of it all got slightly annoying. I’m all for alpha male characters, but there’s something about alpha male characters in mafia romances that does not work for me.

So again, take my review with a grain of salt. I’m not one that gravitate towards this particular sub-genre. I find it too much for my taste and find that there isn’t usually much substance behind the story.

But weirdly enough, I’m interested in reading the sequel. So there’s that.

“I’m not in the mafia. I am the mafia!”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 😳🤬😏🤓🥰

The heroine: Truvy - a Texas farm girl who now lives in Boston and works as a waitress while attending law school. She is intelligent and hard working. One night she goes into the alley behind the diner to take out the trash and is attacked.

The Hero: Liam Black - he is the head of the Irish mob and while at a diner one day he sees a beautiful waitress. He becomes obsessed with her but knows his lifestyle would not be safe for her, so he continues to come back to the diner for eleven months without talking to her other than to order his coffee.

The Story: Liam saves Truvy after she is attacked in the alley and takes care of her while she recuperates. He can’t seem to stay away from her no matter how hard he tries. He does his best to talk her into rejecting him, though even when she does he can’t keep himself from her.

This book is super steamy and hot as hell! I absolutely loved the narration. It was dual POV and dual narration, but even within the heroine’s POV, the male lines were read by the male narrator and vice versa. I always thought this is how narration should be done, but it rarely is. In most books the female narrator reads the entire chapter told from the heroine’s POV even the male lines and vice versa.

Narration was done by Marnye Young and Troy Duran. Marnye Young did a great job and had a perfect southern accent for Truvy who was from Texas. Troy Duran has a deep gravelly voice that was perfect for Liam, he did a variety of voices in different accents (Irish, Latino, Italian, American and more) and did them all very well.

3.5 stars.

🔹 Overall feelings:
〰 I definitely enjoyed this. I’ve been seeing this book all over Goodreads and everyone (literally) has been giving it 5 stars which made me very excited to read it. Not gonna lie, I thought this was going to be a dark mafia romance and if that’s what you’re thinking too then beware before going into this that this is NOT that . This is a very sweet, romantic story. It’s in no way dark and if I’m being honest, then this has no plot whatsoever. This is strictly a love story and I honestly didn’t mind that at all since I absolutely love character driven novels.

🔹 Characters:
〰 The characters in this book were great. Both main characters are extremely likable and they definitely made this story what it is. Liam is very sweet and definitely unlike all the other heroes from mafia books that i’ve read. Usually, heroes in these kinds of books spend the majority of the novel denying their feelings and blah blah blah. That’s not what happens here. Liam is very self-aware and is very upfront about what he wants and how he feels. This was a very enjoyable/new aspect and it made me like our hero even more.

〰 I also absolutely loved the heroine. Her reactions and responses to situations were believable and realistic. Another thing I really liked about her is how she’s very aware of Liam’s reaction to her. Again, in most romances I read, the heroine is this naive character who’s always either doubting the hero’s affection/emotions or who’s so unaware of the latter’s feelings that it’s honestly ridiculous. This is not the case with Tru and that made her a very distinct heroine in my opinion. She’s aware of her power and is very realistic when it comes to how she interprets Liam’s feelings and reactions to her (if that makes sense).
Anyways, all that to say that I really liked her.

🔹 The relationship between our heroes:
〰 Not much to say here since I pretty much mentioned everything in my “characters” section. Overall, their relationship is very sweet. Even though Liam kidnaps her, he’s still not a very controlling/over possessive alpha male (again, i’m comparing him to other mafia bosses :p).

🔹 Final thoughts:
〰 In conclusion, I definitely enjoyed this but it just wasn’t this mind-boggling read. As I said, the plot was really nonexistent, the mafia aspect was also nonexistent but even though that didn’t bother me much, it still prevented me from giving this a higher rating. If you do read this though then I hope you end up loving it!

I don't think I have any complaints for this book. None. That's so rare for me. I wanted to read a book with a badass, hot, alpha and this definitely fit the bill. I loved this book so much and I love it even more because now I have an excuse to use Michele Morrone's pics and gifs for it.

Liam Black is all alpha. He is a wolf in human form. A mysterious enigma. And he can't help but be fascinated with Tru, a law student and diner waitress. For a year now, he comes to the diner and silently watches her from afar but resists coming closer.

Tru is a gutsy, headstrong woman trying to get through law school and working at the same time. With her southern twang it's easy to dismiss her as weak but like true southern women she is tough as nails and wrapped in pretty chiffon. And she's equally intrigued by the man that comes every so often at the diner to sit in her section and only order coffee.

One night they chat a bit more and find out they have more in common than they ever thought possible. They are attracted to each other more than ever but Liam leaves determined not to come back and protect her from him. Fortunately for us, things don't work out the way he wants.

I don't want to say more. You should go in blind and read it for yourselves to find out how the story unfolds. If you love badass alphas, strong heroines, really hot sex scenes and a plot with a dose of danger, you should definitely give this one a try.

Not the best one I have read by her (and definitely the one I've rated the least as of yet) but still okay.

Let me clear one thing first: I love books by this author. Absolutely adore some of them, sometimes even because of the OTT-ness of the plot aside from romance. It's not always the romance that is OTT but the plot itself and I love it. Plus her writing style is really good, with the right amount of humor, the badass vibes and the sexual tension between the MCs. Though this one didn't do the trick for me, and I might be to blame because I haven't been able to like a lot of stuff these days after reading a certain book *side eyes From Blood and Ash*. If you think I'm going through a book hangover......you think correct my dear friend.

First the starting was a little rocky for me. It felt like I was dropped into an already simmering pan instead of being slowly taken to the boiling point, which wouldn't have been that much of a problem if we had been given some flashbacks of the eleven-or-whatever months they spent pining for each other.

But still, I persisted and personally felt that Tru was an all bark-no bite character and literally, not even kidding, I think Liam spoke more in the last chapter than in all the previous chapters combined. Smh, I wanted more of his character and not just the cliff notes version which is what I got. At least it felt like that.

Plus there were communication gaps, big ones. I'm not talking about miscommunication people, but about absolute lack of conversation about certain things that deserved to be brought to the discussion table. We all want books that have more show and less tell, but certain situations demand both show and tell, and a situation where you were just abducted and are being enthusiastically persuaded to be physically intimate with someone, even if you happen to have the hots for them requires an explanation BEFORE something happens. I was pissed at this but it was somewhat salvaged for me when he did give her a choice once. Just once. I tried to be vague so as to not spoil it a lot, and some people who have read it might not think it's that bad but in my dictionary IT IS.

It's time we move on to the good part now.

The main point of attraction in the whole book was DECLAN. If his book isn't the next after Killian's I'm gonna stage a riot.

The ice blue eyes and the Irish accent are just the berry on top. I mean, see for yourself:

This twisted logic:

“So she’s a fighter. That doesn’t make it right.” “Aye,” he agrees, nodding. “But maybe it makes it a little less wrong.”

Thank FUCK they weren't talking about abduction or anything rapey or I'd have been:

Then this:

“What do you do when you have to decide between two impossible choices?”
Our eyes meet in the mirror. He says, “Create a third.”

After a pause, Declan turns to me. “Just out of curiosity, what does pinche puto whatever-he-said mean?”
“Fucking faggot pubic hair slugs.”
Declan makes a face. “Well, that’s not right. Nobody says ‘faggot’ anymore. It’s pejorative.”
"But you’re okay with the pubic hair slug part?” Declan shrugs. “It’s creative. Interesting imagery"

Only he would think something like that is interesting imagery.

I seriously wanted to just-

But I still love him and I want his book so bad, my head hurts, my whole body hurts and Ms Geissinger please, just one more, and I'll ask no more. Just the one!

4 ‘Wolfie’ 🌟

There he is, standing on the other side of the counter, dark and fierce and gorgeous, looking at me like nothing else exists in the diner. The city. The world.

Beautifully Cruel a very much entertaining and swoony read. It is about Truvy, law student and part-time waitress at a diner, and how she is attracted to one of the customers, Liam, at the diner. There is mutual attraction between them, but they don’t speak or act on their attraction for 11 months. Truvy doesn’t even know his name so she refers to him as wolf. Their attraction is set into motion when Liam saves Truvy from a robbery gone wrong at the diner.

I know desire when I see it. He kept it in check before, but he’s off leash now. This wolf wants me.

Truvy was an amazing character because she was realistic, smart, sassy, and fierce. She gives back as good as she gets and she not afraid to use her sass or her brain. I’m not a wilting flower, or a weakling, or a damn damsel in distress. I’m the daughter of an iron-willed Southern woman who turns grown men into frightened children when she gets angry. Truvy is shy and awkward around strangers, but otherwise she is fiercely strong and loyal which is what, I think, makes her so realistic. I can’t gush about her enough and it is pretty safe to say that I loved both MCs in this book equally. Her sass had me grinning and chuckling out loud! I might be an introvert, but I’ve got a temper, and I hold a grudge like nobody’s business.

Allow me to provide an example:
This is what Truvy replies with when Liam order her to take her hair out of the bun in one of their first serious conversations: “First things first. She raised a queen.” I stare at him without smiling. “And I don’t give away the honey for free.”

Liam can accurately be described as a coconut, hard exterior with soft interior! He is ruthless, calculative, bossy, and possessive, but he is also so sweet and gentle with Truvy that my heart melted on many occasions. My wolf. My deadly protector, dark night in Armani armor ripping to shreds those who dare to harm me. I was not expecting his revelations at the end or his twin brother, Killian, but they were an interesting twist!

We’re two planets in motion held together by something much larger than our individual parts. Something fundamental and undeniable.

Overall, fantastic writing with even more fantastic characters! I can’t believe this is my first book from this author, I will definitely be reading from her. This book was an amazing, entertaining, swoony, and immersive read. Also as someone who loves hugs and is a hopeless romantic, I appreciated all the hugging and spooning scenes between Truvy and Liam. Looking forward to discovering more gems from J. T. Geissinger!

It was almost 5 stars. The whole first half of it was 5 stars all the way, but then my "wolfie" kinda lost his teeth.

The most thrilling part was the intense attraction and push and pull between the characters. I wanted Liam to be "bad." I wanted him to be the big bad wolf who was only wolfie for the woman he loved. But Liam turns out not to be "bad" at all. All the intrigue seemed kind of a letdown. Blown out of proportion. I honestly don't know why he couldn't have thought of the exit plan when he was falling for her. It's not like rocket science. He's a smart guy, and so's his bro. They should have this thing down pat.

So the last 30-40% of the book was kinda skim-worthy. I just wanted to get to the end to see what was the deal. And I missed the broody, intense, sex on steroids Liam that I first met.

So I guess that's why I take off a star.

3/5 🌶
I really liked his book. But it was a little less for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

It was really amazing the banter, the angst, the alpha hot daddy vibez😛 and the romance with perfect amount of spice was *chef's kiss*. But getting into this in my mind it was ✨mafia✨. But it wasn't mafia enough. I wanted more plot and drama. Cz that was not enough!!

Start off as we have our pretty girl Truvy, she works at this Diner as a waitress, while getting her degree in law school🤓ma girls genius
For the past 11 months, Liam has been coming to see her. Tru serves Liam when he arrives at the diner, but they don't really interact. Tru is attacked by some guys who intend to rob the diner one day as she takes the trash outside.
Before things get worse, Liam shows up and murders the men who were beating her 👅(absolute-daddy). When Tru is hospitalized, he takes care of herdaddy
Liam intends to vanish after Tru returns home, but he can't stay away from her because of his risky lifestyle and his desire to protect Tru.

In the beginning of the story he was saying how its dangerous for him to be with her and all that stuff- tbh I though there was some secretive past of him that is connected to her😭 but yikes no it was just the mafia life he's afraid of☺

I really liked each charcter the pacing was great the spice😏 perfetto. But I needed lot more of plot, action and drama😐. The ending was soo good I loved how this book Finshed i was in shock 😂. I can't wait to read the next book.

Do read this if you love a light mafia read with perfect amount of spice and lot of ansgt.
