About the author

Rob Lloyd Jones was born in San Francisco but grew up in London. He studied Egyptology at University where he learnt hieroglyphics, and often goes on digs with the Egypt Exploration Society. He is a senior editor at Usborne, for whom he has written over thirty books – mostly historical non-fiction, but also adaptations of classics such as JEKYLL AND HYDE and THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO. Rob is also a volunteer reading helper at a primary school in Clerkenwell and wrote episodes of the children’s TV show ‘Bernard’s Watch’ for Carlton Kids. He lives in south London with his wife Sally, and 14-month-old son Otis.

Aanrader voor jonge autofans. Zeer interessant en massa's stevige flapjes. Toont hoe een auto er vanbinnen uitziet en werkt, hoe die wordt gefabriceerd, verschillende soorten, evolutie doorheen de eeuw, ... Kleurrijk en uitnodigend.

A beautiful book that explains cars to pre schoolers
It has different sections that teach how they’re made, how they run, how they’re fixed, about race cars, the history of cars, and the scrapyard.
Lots of flaps that make it interactive.
My 3 year old thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a long read and he actually sat through it. He also seemed to have understood a lot of it, if not all.
I’m expecting he’ll be bringing this one out a lot often than I would like. 😂
