Absolutely Spectacular .
I love this story . I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Our Time . Sheriff Colton Hudson has been attracted to Carrie Beaumont since he first saw her waiting tables at Joe's place where he gets most of his meals .Carrie is a kind and caring single mother . Her son Jack is her world . During summer break Jack spends his time at activities at the local Church and also the school . There's a rash of robberies with breaking and entering to the elderly

I don't think I will ever get enough of the "Baytown Boys" who are now men and their stories. Ms. Jordan has done it again with Colt and Carrie's story.

Colt is the sheriff of North Heron County, and has been since coming home from the military. He had no family as they had all passed but his grandparents had left him their house hoping to fill it with family, his family. But alas, even though he was once married, the house remained quiet and not quite lived in. He lived in a house, not a home.

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Our Time (Baytown Boys, book #11) is absolutely perfect! I have been hoping that Colt would have his story told, and here is it! Our Time (Baytown Boys #11) is the story of Sheriff Colt Hudson and Carrie Beaumont and her son, Jack. Colt had been raised by bad parents, so after high school he enlisted in the Military. After leaving the Military he came back home, found the Sheriff’s position open, he decided to run

I've been interested in Colt Hudson since his introduction in Mitch's book, Coming Home. Although he has been a peripheral character throughout the Baytown Boys series, something about him caught my attention to where I began looking for glimpses of him throughout the other stories. So, imagine how happy I am to read his story.

After leaving the military, Colt Hudson comes home and runs for the position of sheriff of North Heron County. He's got a lot on his plate and with a bad marriage in his

Colt Hudson, Sheriff of North Heron County, has spent the last five years crushing on the pretty waitress at the diner. Colt inherited a huge “family” home from his grandparents, but has no one to share it with. Thinking Carrie can’t possibly be interested in him, he longs for what he thinks he can’t have. After his friends and coworkers tease him relentlessly about his “crush”, Colt decides to take the first step in hopes that Carrie will say yes.

Carrie Beaumont is a single mom to an 11yr old

We've seen Colt in the previous books, now we get to know him. He's the North Heron Sheriff a position he's had since he returned five years ago. It's a time consuming position and that's just one of his excuses for not asking Carrie out.

Carrie is a single mother working at Joe's Place a popular diner in Easton. She moved here with her mother about ten years ago. She knew of Colt before he walked in the door and pretty much knocked the breath out of her with his stunning good looks. It's a

This is book 11 in the Baytown Boys series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone. However, I recommend the other books in the series since you do see many of those characters in this book and we met Colt in previous books as well. Colt is the sheriff of North Heron County after serving his time in the military. He doesn't feel as if he has time for anything else but his job and everything that is involved with it. Carrie is a single mom who waitresses at The Diner, and who also really ...more

Colt is the sheriff in Baytown and highly respected, he goes into the cafe everyday for his meals as he loves to see Carrie who is a single mum to Jack. Carrie has worked at the cafe for many years, she is kind, friendly and a great mum. Colt and Carrie have feelings for each other but both have so much baggage that neither do anything about it as they also feel that they are not good enough to be in a relationship. There are so many twists and turns along with danger, suspense and so many ...more

I absolutely LOVE the Baytown Boys! They are probably my favorite series that Maryann writes, though it’s a tough call sometimes, . This is the story of Colt Hudson the sheriff we have read about in previous books and Carrie Beaumont. Colt and Carrie have been circling around each other for several years hesitant to let the other know how they felt. Neither felt as though they were good enough for the other, so they became casual friends first. This book was a slow buildup and much more family ...more

I’ve been waiting patiently for this book as I absolutely love the Baytown Boys series. It was definitely worth the wait! Can two wounded people, attracted to each other move beyond their pasts and find love and family?

Carrie Beaumont works hard as a waitress to build a good life for herself and her son Jack. She is stunned when Sheriff Colt Hudson suddenly invites himself into their lives and shows no signs of leaving. When a rash of robberies in the area hits too close to home and a fire

This story is a little different that some of the previous ones, but just as good.
This time it belongs to Sheriff Colt Hudson. He became part of the Baytown Boys, after most of the original group had been together. A friendship that start in HS playing baseball and one that continued even after spending 12 years in the military as a military police.
For the last 5 years he hadsbeen the sheriff and one who daily visits the local diner . Not only for the food , but also to see Carri Beaumont. The

The special quality of any book written by Maryann Jordan is that the characters are beautiful inside as well as outside. Each story has life lessons woven throughout the pages but due to the exceptional writing, you never feel that they are forced on you. This book is about Colt and Carrie who have had feelings for each other for many years but never thought there was a chance at more than just the distant friendship and respect they have settled into. The beauty of all the Baytown Boys Books ...more

Our Time is the latest in Maryann Jordan’s Baytown Boys and revolves around Sheriff Colt Hudson. He has been a secondary character in the Baytown Boys series, but now he is front and center. Colt has been home and sheriff for five years and everyday he goes in the the diner for breakfast. There he meets waitress and single mom, Carrie. They both are attracted to each other, but neither act on their feelings each thinking they didn’t have anything to offer each other. Eventually, after some ...more

Love! Love! Love!

I'm a huge fan of the Baytown Series. I love seeing the other couples as they make small appearances in the new stories. I wondered when we hear more about Colt and I certainly was not disappointed! Beautifully written as always, but this story was really special. Everything about Colt and Carrie was fantastic! I loved seeing them finally give in and realize they were worthy of each other!
Loved seeing Colt get his happy ending amd the family he craved. Of course as always

It was your smile that knocked me on my ass!

I am not sure who I fell in love with first Colt or Jack! We know Colt already, know he is a good man, protective, driven and a little bit he just reinforces this and as Belle quite rightly points out. 'Colt is like the rest of our men. They know what they want and they'll protect it until their very last breath'. Colt has finally realised what he wants is Carrie, Jack and even George, creating a family and making his house a home.

Can I just say OMG I absolutely loved this book. It was a perfect fit to the Baytown Boys series. Maryann Jordan definitely had me hooked from the very start with these amazing characters and this fantastic storyline. This was Colt and Carrie’s story, Sheriff Colt Hudson is a man who has his work and no social life except maybe when he has his meal at The Diner to see the pretty waitress. Waitress Carrie Beaumont is a single mother to the most adorable almost teenager eleven year old Jack. ...more

As I was reading Out Time I was struck by how much I admired the characters that Maryann Jordan creates. They do the best they can with what they have and what they do. They aren't perfect but they are essentially good human beings. They fall in love, feel sorrow, contribute to their communities, are loyal friends and are hard working. Colt Hudson & Carrie Beaumont are the epitome of these admiral traits.

Five years of furtive glances. Five years of casual flirting. Five years of thinking

Love the Baytown Boys

As always Ms Jordan's writing is great and her characters are full of life and are relatable.

I loved that Colt was such a part of the prior books and was glad he found his HEA.

Two things about the book though that bothered me - the underlying story about the kids and drugs, while not the exact same of course, but for me came VERY close to the same storyline in another book by a different author. It is impossible to be 100% new in EVERY story by every author, however there

I loved this book; Colt and Carrie are mature, and the potential for their relationship has been growing through seeing each other in the Diner regularly. They have built a mutual respect, and this makes their bond more believable. The real “star” of this book, though, is Jack, Carrie’s son. Colt is one of his baseball coaches, and, as Colt and Carrie’s relationship grows, he becomes a mentor. There is some suspense in the book, just enough to keep you on edge, and there is a great deal of love ...more

Wow, loved this book. SPOILERS!!! I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

The is the story of Colt and Carrie. The store really brought out reality. Carrie had to deal with being a single pregnant teen where the father basically expected her to terminate her pregnancy. Carrie was lucky in that she had her parents that supported her and loved her through it all. Carrie is a hard working mother that gave her son all the love she had. Then along comes Colt. Took Colt five years to work up the nerve

Another Baytown winner!! Our Time is a standalone story in the Baytown series.

Carrie Beaumont is a single mom working hard to provide for her son Jack. She is very surprised when county sheriff, Colt Hudson shows an interest in her and her son.

“... if I could pick the kind of dad I’d like to have and the kind of man I think you deserve, it would be Colt.”

Colt has had his eye on Carrie for quite a while but never felt like he had much to offer her. But once he does set his mind on wooing the

I had the pleasure to get to read this amazing story from MaryAnn Jordan. This amazing story is about a single mom working and providing for her son and a single lonely sheriff named Colt. In this amazing story you have two people whom have eyes for each other but will not pursue their interest in each other due to thinking not good enough for the other. But in due time Colt and Carrie take the chance with alittle push from their friends and co workers and when they take the step they step into ...more

5 "Family Feel Good" Stars

Well, another Baytown Boy has come and gone and just like the others, this story did not disappoint. I do enjoy reading along in the series, however - in my opinion - this book can be read as a standalone.

I always love the element of danger and suspense within a story and Maryann does a great job of balancing that along with romance and mystery. Colt and Carrie had an instant attraction but it was a while before either acted on it. But once they did, the Alpha-Steam

I was fortunate to read an arc of this book for an honest review!!! This is the latest installment in the Baytown boys series. Colt Hudson returned home from the service to become the sheriff of North Heron County. For 5 years he has skated around asking Carrie, a waitress at the only diner in town, out because he didn't think she was interested in him. Carrie, a single mom, is very interested in Colt, but doesn't think he is interested in her. When they finally do get together, sparks fly!!!! I ...more

Excellent Series
I have read every book by Maryann Jordan and love them all. She is one of my “go to” authors that I recommend to all my friends. With that said, this is the first time I’ve been a little disappointed. Our Time - Baytown Boys Series was a sweet love story but lacked the emotional impact I’ve come to expect from her. Maryann ‘s books usually have me roaring with laughter and crying my heart out. This one did not. It also did not have the level of danger and suspense of the

I have waited for this book for a while and couldn't wait to read it. I absolutely love this whole series but there was just something about Colt and the bits and peices you heard of him that just spoke to me. He is that total alpha but at the same time scared to really show is feelings and be vulnerable. Carrie has had it hard had to be a single mom at such a short age but she made it work and gave up everything in the process. These two have had their eyes on one another for a very long time ...more

Another winner in the Baytown Boys series! Colt a sheriff and Carrie a single mom liked each other for years before either one made a move. When they finally do get together sparks fly between them. This story is family centered, the one you are born with and the one you make, with just enough suspense to keep things interesting. Two lonely people find the path to happiness within each other.
The plot is well written and the characters are believable. I whole heartedly recommend this book as well

Colt is the sheriff. Carrie is a single mom and she works at the diner. They have been batting their eyes at each other for five years now.
There is a string of robberies going on. They seem to be targeting old residents and shut ins.
Colt finally gets the courage to ask her out. Then there is a break in at Carrie's neighbor then a fire at his home a couple of nights later. Colt moves them into his place.
As the investigation continues, Jack, Carrie's son gets himself involved. Will Colt get to

Love a single parent story!

Carrie is a single mother working hard as a waitress and secretly crushing on the handsome sheriff.
Colt takes his job of sheriff seriously so seriously that even though he’s secretly crushing on Carrie he doesn’t think he has a chance.
A robbery and a fire bring them together in this sweet story!
I love everything Maryann Jordan writes and I think this will be on the top of my favorites!
Reading their story will have you routing for two deserving souls!

I love this series! Having met Colt in previous books I was curious about his story and knew one day we’d get to know him better. This is his and Carries book. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. Ms Jordan has a way with words that draws you in and keeps you hooked from the first page to the last. This story had some real feel good moments and some oh no scary heart in your mouth Moments too. Ultimately though I was still trying not to cry at the emotional scenes it was that good. ...more

As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
