This is a "Let's Read About" series book.... and a good 'introductory' biography book for younger readers. I read this out loud to my 3 year old granddaughter and she stayed with it the entire way through. Helping teach about Squanto from the time he was a young man that was taken to England then sold and bought then brought to help the explores in the New world with the Indians. He came along when the newly landed pilgrims were beginning to have survival issues. He taught them what they could eat in the wild and how to catch animals to eat etc. And how the first Thanksgiving took place.

This is a biography about a Native American boy named Tisquantum (Squanto) who was born 1591 and greeted newly arriving English traders. As a teenager he returned with those traders to England. He later helped the pilgrims survive in America. Because Squnato could speak English he was helpful Native American and English settler issues. This book has a Thanksgiving scene and could be read around that holiday. AR gives it a 2.9 rating.
