The first time I saw Aiken Cross aka Skull, he was standing atop a speeding motorcycle.
The second time, he was putting his fist through my brother’s face.
Now he’s everywhere I look.
He’s making my life hell with his vulgar remarks and seductive lure, but it’s not my fault my brother joined The Border Lords, his rival crew. I keep my nose out of their business and my head

I decided I love this authors writing, and the way she pulls me into the story. Every book of hers that I read exceeded my expectations. She just knows how to entice and build a rapport between the reader and characters.

This was a slow-burn, not to the extreme but it took the MCs a while before they were honest about their feelings and acted on it. The build up was.. beautiful. (I mean, yes, Aiken wasn’t exactly the gentle, sensitive type, but considering who he was and the way he was

A new generation of bikers emerges in romance and they are hot!

The Sons of Anarchy made biker gangs or “Motorcycle Clubs” hot. But let’s face it, not all the guys in Motorcycle clubs are Jax Teller hotties, even the rest of the guys on SOA are not the handsome cover models that would be on the front of our romance novels. And if you Google real life Motorcycle Clubs you will, more often than not, find an older generation of guys with beer bellies, scraggly beards and faded tattoos. Not to say th
1 star.

My absolute least favorite.

Manwhore "bad boy" druggie hero is mean to rich anxiety-ridden wet blanket of a VIRGIN heroine, but somehow she likes him anyway. On top of some seriously lame writing.

Stop 👏 writing 👏 this 👏 type 👏 of 👏 book.

A thrilling ride through the world of Sons Of Sinister soaring to dizzying heights in the capable hands of Tabatha. The neon bikes zoom in trailing chaos and mayhem and leave you clutching to the tattered human beings . Heart touching story, Sensitive narration and shocking twists and turns make it a shocking story of travails and perseverance.
In the heart is an Invisible Girl, struggling to live alone, abandoned by death and neglected by Guardians.

Loved it! Vargo has a brilliant way with words. She makes you feel like you’re watching everything play out directly in front of your face like you could touch taste see and feel it all. Amazing! This story was great. A different spin on the MC trope and I devoured it. It’s not like any other I have read before. It was steamy, emotional, and full of angst! Little taboo in there too! What’s not to love?! Seriously though, I can’t wait to read the rest of t

Shattered Skull is book 1 in the Sons of Sinister series and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Everly and Aiken had great chemistry and although it was slow burn which isn't my favorite it was done in a way that worked for the story. My only complaint is that I felt the ending was a little rushed, I would have enjoyed more of Everly and Aiken. I look forward to the next book in this series.
This was a quick read. A little heavy on the emotions, and sometimes dark, but much lighter compared to some of the truly nitty gritty novels out there.

There were parts of the book that lagged, some errors, but I got through it. For the most part I enjoyed reading it. It wasn’t too complex with the plot, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad book.

The age difference between the two characters is kind of off putting. Because the main character Everly is almost 18 when she meets Aiken, who’s 24. There

The man has some sweetness in him, “the pleasure was all mine, baby. Now go get in the shower, and I’ll order us some food.” He smacked my *** when I walked away..." Aiken likes seeing his woman's reactions to when he does something unexpected, “it looks to me like talking about getting a place together gets you hot.” I liked this book, I really can't wait to see the rest of the boys get books. ...more

The first book in a new series from Tabatha Vargo and after reading this I am so excited for more

I loved it, I loved the angst, the characters, the plot, the unpredictability. Shattered Skull is a definite must read for any reader who loves a bad boy that rescues a fragile heroine.

Shattered SKULL does have scenes of attempted rape, so it's not for the fainthearted, however, I am used to a darker kind of stories and plots being a lover of MC reads and Shattered SKULL was a nice change from the us

*First time reading author.

So the first thing I am going to say is, this book was an almost love, hate relationship for me. I had that feeling going in that it was going to be a complicated read for me, just because of some of the reviews I glanced over but I refused to let that deter me on reading it. So I jumped in because I love bully themes, complicated romance, and it sounded kind of like an mc book. So in I jumped.

The next thing I will say is I hate drug use in a book. There was some of t
Let's start off off by saying this was a brand new author for us and if I am being honest I started out thinking maybe that this was not my kind of read but, boy was I so wrong.

The story was filled with messed up and broken characters and some of their lives were messier than others one reeling from pain and loss and anxiety all the while feeling loss and broken and then you have the bad boy who straddles the line of no return but, deep down is a kind and caring soul with and overprotective nat

Shattered Skull is book one in the Son of Sinister series by Tabatha Vargo and boy is it a page turning read. The story focuses on Aiken ‘Skull’ Cross and Everly. Everly is just coming to terms with her father’s death when she has been moved across the country to live with her aloof mother and brother who seems to be up to no good. Being new to school, she knows that she doesn’t fit in, not only due to her grief but also her anxiety and how she feels in general. We see her story develop as she m ...more

Man biker gangs just always do it for me. I think it's just the sense of camaraderie and freedom from society. It's always an interesting read.

Aiken and Everly had a STEAMY connection but it was also really sweet which isn't always the case with biker boys. But Aiken was a SWEETHEART under the initial asshole-ness😂

But this was such a quick yet wonderful read!

Sons of Sinister

Aiken/Skull was a bad boy dealing with life outside of the law and Everly was a young woman who dealt with anxiety issues whose life had changed dramatically in such a short time.

Skull was “The Man” on the strip racing his neon green bike against any takers trying to put money aside so that someday he could open his own bike repair shop and go legit. Until that time came though he was a member of the Sons of Sinister who ran drugs and were not afraid to use their guns.

Have you read Tabatha's Blow Hole Boys series if you have you will love the guys and if not where have you been. This book focuses on Everly and Aiken 'Skull' Cross who are two characters who couldn't be more different.
I found the start of the book quite slow there is alot of time spent setting the scene and introducing the characters but I felt like some of them could have been explored more. I would have liked more with Everly and her brother, because we don't know him I didn't care that his

So I started reading Tabatha years ago when Playing Patience came out and have stuck around since. This book y'all did not disappoint it kept me on my toes the whole time. The chemistry between Aiken and Everly is on point and you know it from there first encounter. I really wasnt sure if Ev was gonna be able to keep up with him or if her anxiety would rule her life. I gotta say she went toe to toe with him for most part and definitely earned her place as his queen on the back of his bike. Can't ...more

This is a new author to me and I can’t leave I’ve waited so long to read her! Her characters are well developed and the storyline is intriguing, so much so that I couldn’t put it down I just had to know what happened next! This story is greedy and dark and oddly satisfying. The chemistry between Aiken and Everly was on fire. I love how protective Aiken is over Everly. She is just so sweet and naïve she needs to be protected. I can’t wait for more of the Sons. Brilliant start to the series!!

Why God why?

This author is a$$hjhb. I don’t usually take it that far, it it’s the truth. She deliberately made it seem like her character was one type until you are so far into the book, that I am assuming she thinks she has you hooked. I was reading this book and actually enjoying it. The H was on a little bit of a dry spell and seemed in no hurry to change that. He meets the heroine and they start a flirtation. We get 150 pages in, halfway through the freaking book, and he decides to try to ge

The first half definitely had potential. A nice slow build with your bad boy H and down on her luck virgin h. The second half fell apart as things just moved along too quickly and everything thrown together. The story lost it’s appeal , no angst and the bad boy image was totally out the window by the end of the book.

(Note: This entire book I read from start to finish yesterday evening while high as fuck and thus that very well may have altered my judgment of it. I still know when a book is bad but it helped it be funny bad)

How could I even begin to describe the experience of reading this book?

Up until last night I hadn't used my "so bad its funny" shelf in two years and over the course of the 4 hours it took me to finish this book I was reminded of my need for it.

After a traumatic event, Everly Hart moves back home to live with her mom and twin brother, Erik. Suffering from debilitating Anxiety she always felt alone. So I really enjoyed this. I wasn’t sure I would, because MC is just not my usual trope, but this was not that.

Aiken & the Sons of Sinister are an MC, but also not really. They’re like the import version. So. They run the streets, the drugs the races, the girls, the hood. They run it all.

Everly is new in town, basically deposited by her mom after her fathers death. The girl is ridden with all kinds of anxieties, and probably the last person anyone would expect would get involved with Aiken.

Shattered Skull by Tabatha Vargo was a fiery, heartfelt and very emotional MC Romance. It has the right edge of danger and twisted darkness that mixed with an angsty love story brilliantly. The writing is spellbinding and I couldn't stop reading as if my life depends on it!

Everly has been uprooted from her simple and secure life with her father after his untimely death. She has been forced by her mother to move to her grandparents' old house in Atlanta. New school. New life. Absent brother who i

I loved the start to this series. It’s not the typical type of MC book that I read. Yes they are a tight brotherhood and yes they may do whatever it takes (legal or otherwise), but they don’t ride Harley’s. Instead the Sons of Sinister ride Crotch Rockets which they illegally race on the weekends for cash as well as do stunts and tricks for the crowds. No one messes with the Sons Of Sinister on their turf, well if they have any sense they don’t.

The author has given us characters we can sink our
