My review is on Santa's Little Thief by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson as part of this box set. This short and sweet Christmas story is based on Ms. Aspenson's Lily Sprayberry cozy mystery series. Lily and Belle will see mischievous elves and meet a special magical helper as they solve the mystery of the stolen presents for their small town. This cute story has the magic of the holiday season along with laughter as Lily and Belle must race to find the stolen presents. Ms. Aspenson has brought the magic ...more

I had the chance to get an advanced peek at the story by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson in this book set and it was so funny that I immediately ordered the entire set! Santa's Little Thief by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson has the best characters that keep you giggling as they try to solve the mystery! They are so entertaining. For those who read the Lily Sprayberry series, this novella is based on the characters from that series so it is definitely worth the read! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of t ...more

So far I have read two ARCs from this set. One from Wendy Meadows (reviewed separately) and one from Tara Meyers. This review is for the one from Tara Meyers. Her's is called Good Things Come In Dangerous Packages.

In this one, Ember's aunt Becky is spending her week working at the Sanctuary Animal Clinic with her three kids underfoot. While she is trying to get her work done, the twins are wrecking havoc on the place by trying to teach a squirrel circus tricks. She finally gets them

This review will be edited as I read more books in it.
I just finished Santa’s Little Thief by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. What a delightful story! It was whimsical and just what I needed. When the ladies are at Millie’s Cafe, a body is discovered in the freezer. Thus begins the mystery that must be solved to save Christmas for the town’s children. Lily and Belle are on it! It was a fun, quick read, perfect for after shopping or a long day baking. I have to say, I totally googled elf school.

I read Santa’s Little Thief, by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson, one of the short stories in this collection.

The children’s gifts have gone missing and the dead elf they found in the cooler has disappeared, turned to sparkle and poof, gone. Lily Sprayberry and the ladies at Millie’s café have never seen anything like that, they figure they are better off keeping this to themselves. The ladies end up on a wild goose chase, tracking down the presents in time for the children to get them after

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin

Rudy-Bob was loved by all the children in Deer Hollow, especially when they believed that he was Santa Claus. And in turn, all the adults thought of him as a reclusive but nice and kindly man although he did not really know how to be sociable with people. So it was rather a shock when he was found strangled in front of his house, with a string of Christmas lights around his neck. But when Joey and Hal start looking into who would do this to the kind reclu

I really liked them both--they're quick reads, entertaining, and totally get me into the Christmas mood. I'm eager to read the rest of the stories--all of the authors are well-known in the cozy mystery genre and anthologies are a great way to sample authors with which you're unfamiliar. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin.
This cozy mystery has two of my favorite things.....animals and mysteries! When the man who plays Santa at the town Christmas party winds up dead in his front yard, Joey and her boyfriend Hal join together to help solve his murder. I liked the characters and how Hal is just as much as a softy as Joey is. I couldn't decide on who the murderer was and was surprised on who it was (I like being surprised!).

A great chance to read some holiday themed shorts from some cozy authors - old friends and new.

I enjoyed the novella from Wendy Meadows: It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Murder.

Divorcee Carol Green finds an amazing new town to settle in, but murder lies in wait among the quaint atmosphere.

Can Carol and long estranged daughter Mary solve the mystery and save themselves before their holidays are ruined permanently? Intense and action filled read!

This review is for Rachael Stapleton's Mistletoe and Hauntings
Mallory Vianu has the gift to help the recently departed cross over.
When she decides to not go to the Mistletoe Ball, Nana Vianu tells her She will be visited by the ghost of the past, present, and unless she can prevent it the future also.

This is another fun story from Rachael's world of Bohemian Lake. There are well-developed characters, a bit of humor, and a solid storyline.

Country Christmas Cozy Mystery
This is a fun cozy edition of the Country Cousins Series. The murder mystery part is very interesting. But, the animals and pets are the most fun. Dealing with a pet piggy, saucy Siamese cat and silly pit bull make Christmas with its decorations and treats just overwhelming. This is a good story that fits right in with the series. The story is not long, but it is well worth reading. I love th
