My review is on Santa's Little Thief by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson as part of this box set. This short and sweet Christmas story is based on Ms. Aspenson's Lily Sprayberry cozy mystery series. Lily and Belle will see mischievous elves and meet a special magical helper as they solve the mystery of the stolen presents for their small town. This cute story has the magic of the holiday season along with laughter as Lily and Belle must race to find the stolen presents. Ms. Aspenson has brought the magic of the holiday home to those of us who are fans of the Lily Sprayberry series.

I had the chance to get an advanced peek at the story by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson in this book set and it was so funny that I immediately ordered the entire set! Santa's Little Thief by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson has the best characters that keep you giggling as they try to solve the mystery! They are so entertaining. For those who read the Lily Sprayberry series, this novella is based on the characters from that series so it is definitely worth the read! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the stories as soon as I get my ebook set so I can get started! It definitely will have you giggling and getting into the Christmas spirit!

I just finished Santa’s Little Thief by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. What a delightful story! It was whimsical and just what I needed. When the ladies are at Millie’s Cafe, a body is discovered in the freezer. Thus begins the mystery that must be solved to save Christmas for the town’s children. Lily and Belle are on it! It was a fun, quick read, perfect for after shopping or a long day baking. I have to say, I totally googled elf school.
Updated review. All of the stories are so good! I thought I was going to be able to pick a favorite but I can’t. I do think this is one of my favorite collections. This collection has stories from authors that I’m not only familiar with but who I count among my favorite authors. Every author in this collection is one I recommend. Having them together is a dream!

So far I have read two ARCs from this set. One from Wendy Meadows (reviewed separately) and one from Tara Meyers. This review is for the one from Tara Meyers. Her's is called Good Things Come In Dangerous Packages.

In this one, Ember's aunt Becky is spending her week working at the Sanctuary Animal Clinic with her three kids underfoot. While she is trying to get her work done, the twins are wrecking havoc on the place by trying to teach a squirrel circus tricks. She finally gets them settled down and is just about finished when she goes to lock the door. She finds that someone has left a large package on the door step and while she is trying to figure out what to do with it, it moves. So she brings it inside and checks into it to find an adorable, expensive puppy along with a note that says to not give it to anyone named Mark or it will be killed. She checks the chip and finds that it is unreadable so she goes to a friend's office to see if he can read it. In the meantime, her kids and best friend are coming up with all kinds of conspiracy theories as to why the puppy is there and what unreadable chip means. She does figure it all out and in the end everything works for the best.

This is an excellent story. I hope she continues this series

So far I have read two ARCs from this set. One from Wendy Meadows and one from Tara Meyers (reviewed separately) . This review is for the one from Wendy Meadows and is called It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder

In this one, Carol Green is living the nomad lifestyle, much to the dismay of her daughter Mary. While on the phone one evening, Carol makes a compromise with Mary, saying that the next town she comes to, she will stay there. She comes to Tinsel Town, CT. It's got all the charm of a small town and Carol is actually glad that she has decided to stay. She goes into the cafe for a cup of coffee and some dinner and overhears a couple of locals having a fight. When the man leaves, the woman breaks down in tears. She was trying to sell her barn and a couple of old horses and he decided he didn't want them any more. Carol thinks this is perfect and makes Lucy an offer. They agree to meet at the barn when Lucy's shift is over. While Carol is killing time before the meeting, she meets Daniel and they make a date for dinner. Carol falls in love with the horses and buys the place immediately. She then goes to meet Daniel and he is late. She goes to his house and finds him dead. While she is trying to figure out who the killer is, she runs afoul of the local sheriff but smooths it all out when she solves the crime. Daniel's daughter inherits the house but she doesn't want any part of the small town so for a reasonable price she sells Carol the house. Now Carol is right at home. She fixes up an old sleigh and hires out to do sleigh rides through the winter.

I really liked this new series and hopes that Wendy does continue it.

Wendy Meadows spins a delightful story of a loving Mother who is reunited with her daughter who was taken away from her and her husband by his rich Parents who didn't approve of the bohemian lifestyle they led. The love pales as twenty years passes and he leaves her to go back to his wealthy Parents and to a relationship with his daughter, Mary. Mary confronts her Father and finds out how to reach her Mother. Her Mother lives out of a van and travels to Tinsel Pine, a place that is full of Christmas Cheer. Helping a young girl in dire straits in a moment and with a spirit of compassion for her sad tale of whoa, finds Carol Green staying in the town. In the blink of an eye she owns an old stable and two horses that were retired from racing. She decides to add to her income by starting a horse and carriage business in the town and things quickly change. There is a murder which she is promptly blamed for, acquires the deceased man's Kitten and bedlam ensues.
Add the Policeman she is annoyed with even though she feels a spark there, her daughter who comes to her Mother, and the hunt for the murderer is on ! This will have you guessing, smiling, and laughing as it goes on.

I received this as an arc, it is one short story from the book

This is a collection of 12 cozy mysteries just in time for the holidays. Hmm.. Twelve stories, twelve days of Christmas. Think there is a correlation?

I love collections because of the variety they provide and opportunity to explore multiple authors, both new and old (to me, not necessarily in age). This collection included stories by favorites I already knew (i.e. Sam Cheever with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin) with many I did not, so I had lots of choices. I found all of the stories to be well written and entertaining and most of them were spiced with a generous helping to holiday humor to keep things light and fun. Together, they provided a delightful variety of stories that kept me entertained for several evenings.

Highly recommended.

Great Christmas Cozies

Each of the twelve stories are great. Each story is set in each of the twelve authors book worlds but can be read without reading them. I enjoyed each story. K. M. Waller’s story is the middle man story joining two series together. It is a continuation of one and an introduction to a character for a new book series.
After reading all of these stories, I am staring each of the series that the stories take place, if I have not already read.
Well worth taking the time to read.

I've read 2 stories from this anthology so far: Carolyn Ridder Aspenson's and Stephanie Damore's. I really liked them both--they're quick reads, entertaining, and totally get me into the Christmas mood. I'm eager to read the rest of the stories--all of the authors are well-known in the cozy mystery genre and anthologies are a great way to sample authors with which you're unfamiliar. I've been reading cozies for less than 3 yrs and Christmas anthologies have ended up being among my favorite books of the year each year. I look forward to reading the rest of this anthology, but I don't think you can go wrong with this bunch of authors.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin, Country Cousins Book 4 by Sam Cheever
Country Christmas Cozy Mystery
This is a fun cozy edition of the Country Cousins Series. The murder mystery part is very interesting. But, the animals and pets are the most fun. Dealing with a pet piggy, saucy Siamese cat and silly pit bull make Christmas with its decorations and treats just overwhelming. This is a good story that fits right in with the series. The story is not long, but it is well worth reading. I love this author's work. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.

This great collection of cozy mystery novellas found in “THE 12 COZY MYSTERY CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS: A COLLECTION OF HOLIDAY COZY MYSTERY NOVELLAS BY MEMBERS OF THE SLEUTHING WOMEN AUTHOR COLLECTIVE” will have you immersed in Christmas-themed murder stories with an occasional touch of good humor to keep you reading! Below is a review of one of the stories to show you what you’ll find inside!

*** Reviewing “IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE MURDER” By Wendy Meadows" ***
Carol Green was practically in a drowsy stupor driving down the highway when her daughter, Mary, called to chastise her for turning 50 and still jet-setting up the coast in a cargo van all alone at her age. It was a dangerous lifestyle and Mary needed her mom to settle down somewhere. Mary had just lost her job and her apartment when she broke up with the landlord’s son. So her mom suggested that she would settle at the next town she came to if Mary would move in with her so they could really get to know each other better. That offer would help both of them, so she readily agreed. She took the exit for Tinsel Pine forks, and her first stop was for a cup of steaming hot coffee! She hears a woman with the name-tag of Lucy arguing with a man about buying a run-down house who got up and walked out on her. Carol bought herself coffee and one for Lucy and sat down to talk to her. She bought the two horses sight-unseen, and would go to see the house when Lucy’s shift was over.

William Gourd introduced himself to Carol and, hearing she just arrived to town, offered her a tour. His personality was cheerful and he told her he owned the hardware shop she needed to visit to get supplies for fixing the stable she just bought. His sister owned the pet shop that she wanted to visit too. He asked her if she would come to his home and help decorate for Christmas. When he didn’t call, she walked to his home figuring she must have misunderstood the arrangement. She noted footprints in the snow on the porch steps, so someone must have visited him. But she was concerned when she found the door hanging slightly ajar – she was certain he wouldn’t have left the front door partially open for her in this cold weather! She steps through the door into a totally dark room and trips over something. Her cell phone light shows a pine tree that had fallen over. As she shined it around, she saw William Gourd hanging from a colorful noose made of half-strung Christmas lights wrapped around the balcony, his face, purple and swollen, eyes bugging slightly out of his head! Panicked, she ran next door to get Police Chief Brogan Peterson!

This was a well-written mystery with likable, quirky characters. The story had a small-town feel and Carol felt immediately that she would fit right in. Bill was so friendly – who would want to kill such a kind man? Find out in this awesome cozy mystery collection! You’re going to LOVE it!!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot like Murder by Wendy Meadows
This is her contribution to this collection of stories.

Great cozy little novella. Takes a couple of hours to read. Thoroughly enjoyable. IT WAS OVER BEFORE I KNEW IT!!

Carol rolls into a new town and is looking for a possible permanent place to stay. If she finds one then her daughter (that she is getting to know) will come and live with her. Carol overhears a conversation and ends up helping out. A person helping her and she is the last to see is found dead. Of course, she becomes the prime suspect and needs to help solve the case. Her daughter, Mary gets involved as a possible spy for another suspect.

If I say more than I will give it away and you don't want me to do that. You want to read it for yourself and enjoy it with your favorite relaxing drink.

I could do Carol's lifestyle easily. My only drawback is that I do not have money to fallback on. Oh, well I can dream. Although it looks like that may change in this story.

I have not yet met these characters in a series that I have read by the author. I HOPE THEY ARE AND I GET TO MEET MORE OF THEM SOON.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin by Sam Cheever
This is the author's contribution to this collection of stories.

Buy this collection for even just the first chapter of this story. SO WORTH IT!!!!!!

If I could have been actually rolling around on the floor of the bus, I would have. You will want to have tissues with you to wipe the laughter tears from your eyes. All I am going to say is cat, Christmas, and mint family. There are other laugh out loud moments in the book too. I know because people were giving me strange looks on the buses.

Mystery part of the story is really good too. The man who plays Santa is found dead. On his property, a gun from a past murder is found. Did he have something to do with it. Is one of the neighbors responsible? I never saw or had an inkling of who done it. Nice job.

LaLee, thank you for making my day. Hi to Caphy and Ethel too.

Questions: Will Ethel and Hal be together now? Who will take over role of Santa for next year?

This is really fun and fast paced story. You can definitely read it in a day (like I did on my public transportation rounds) or in one sitting. Then you will want to go back and catch up on the series, especially to understand the meaning of Hal's present.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

O Come, All Ye Witches by K. M. Waller
This is the author's contribution to this collection of stories.

Couldn't put it down! I needed the answers just as much as they did!!!

The aunts are on vacation and one is sitting in a diner waiting on an old friend to show up (the other two are shopping). In walks a woman who does not know who she is, but what grabs the attention is her tattoo. It is a recognizable symbol. Of course, she has to help and find out what happened to her friend also.

What happens while trying to help her is what will have you reading till the end.

I have very strong feeling that the character will be in another book soon!!!

Very fast read, can be done in a day. Easy to read and enjoyable.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
**********************************************************************

Baby, It's Murder Outside by Stephanie Damore
This is the author's contribution to this collection of stories.

Christmas party at a famous house but weather is frightful. Very few guests show up due to weather. Find body and no phone service, and need to help solve.

Love the characters and the who done it. Is easy to spot if paying attention but the why is the real question.

If I say more will give story away. YOU WANT TO ENJOY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!!

Really really short story. Can read it in about an hour with drink of choice.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

This is a collection of 12 cozy mysteries just in time for the holidays. 12 stories, presumably for the 12 Days of Christmas. Collections like these provide an opportunity to explore multiple authors, some I know and many I don't. I usually find at least one author to read another book of theirs.

Most of the stories were well written and entertaining and most of them had a generous portion of holiday fun. it was an interesting variety of stories that kept me entertained for several nights.

Brief comments about most of the stories:

1. Robbin' Around the Christmas Tree byAva Mallory: I didn't like this one
2. Santa's Little Their by Caroyln ridder Aspenson: Enjoyed it. Odd but funny.
3. Red Ribbon Murder by Jenna St. James: Entertaining
4. O Come All Ye Witches by K.M. Waller: It was odd but I have a possible interest in the author. Will read the Lost Souls Paragency & the Three witches of Burberry.
5. Christmas Tree Caper by Laina Turner: meh!
6. Mistletoe & Haunting by Rachel Stapleton: confusing to read with so many voices and many talking at once. Everyone is very interconnected and hard to figure out. Not for me.
7. Rudolph the REd-Nosed Bumpkin by Sam Cheever: This was a good murder mystery with some random characters including some animals. Hard to guess the culprit. I might try another by this author as I was entertained by this one.
8. Baby, It's Murder OUtisde by Stephnie Damore: Have read several by this author and I usually love them or hate them. This was very short especially considering there were two dead bodies. Just okay.
9. Have Yourself a Deadly Little Christmas by Susan Boles: short and to the point. May consider another book by this author.
10. Good things come in Dangerous Packages by Tara Meyers (A Secrets of Sanctuary Cove Mystery): This was short but quite entertaining. It's connected to the book Cat's Got Your Arsenic which I intend to read.
11. Merry Little Murder Eve by Tricia Sanders: I hated this one! There were stupid , sleazy characters and I couldn't get past the 2nd chapter.
12. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder by Wendy Meadows: Really enjoyed this one. Great lead characters and a surprising solution. I definitely want to read more by this author.

I read 3 stories so far and two of those were amazing!

I read K.M. Waller O Come, All Ye Witches, Carolyn Ridder Aspenson Santa’s Little Thief and Stephanie Damore Baby, it’s Murder Outside. I will edit my review when I’ve read more of the stories.

K.M. Waller 5 stars
A lovely story!
This is an LSP (Lost Souls ParaAgency) story from the POV of one of the great-aunts. I love that this story gives a little insight in the lives of the great-aunts! I always imagined them as slightly evil, and definitely way too meddling, and it’s really nice to hear Tizzy’s side of the story! Tizzy meets a fellow witch down on her luck. The story starts out easy and Christmassy, but very soon it becomes exciting and thrilling, fast-paced and page-turnery! You know, reading as fast as your eyes will allow and as fast as your mind can process the words. I was holding my breath during some of the more suspenseful moments. A lovely story!!!

Carolyn Ridder Aspenson 5 stars
Lily and magic and real elves
A dead elf in the walk-in refrigerator. An elf? Yes, a real elf. Pointy ears and all.
If you are new to the Lily Sprayberry series, then you might have a bit of a problem keeping track of the names, in the beginning. But for me, it was nice to meet my old friends.
An entertaining short story, with a madcap dash for clues. A sort of puzzle tour with clues. It’s not about solving a murder or anything like that. A bit of silly fun. I really liked it!

Stephanie Damore 3 stars
This story wasn’t my favorite
Ziva and her husband are invited to a holiday party. A dead body is found, but whodunit?
I’m sorry to say this was not my favorite story in this set. It took a long while for the mystery to get going, relatively speaking (it wasn’t until page 15 that there’s a body and the story is 25 pages). And then all of a sudden it was way too fast! So even though it had a pleasant tone and was a light read, which I like, it could have been better. I have read much better by this author, I know she can write!

The 12 Cozy Christmas Mystery Carols of Christmas is an anthology by tweve gifted authors. I've only had the privilege to read two of them.

Sam Cheever's RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED BUMPKIN is part of the anthology featuring Joey and her friend Hal from the Country Cousin Mystery series.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin has all the regular characters that you've fallen in love with, a big lovable Pibbl, one bi-polar cat and now a cute, lovable pot-bellied pig.

Add an intriguing, many layered mystery with many twists and turns, and at least one surprising revelation.

Someone has killed the local, lovable Santa aka Rudy. The more Joey and Hal investigate, the more they realize no one really knew Rudy and the more suspects there are.

This is another fun and enjoyable story (except for Santa's demise) and deserves five-stars.
__________

IT' S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE MURDER by Wendy Meadows is also part of the 12 Cozy Christmas Mystery Carols of Christmas anthology.

Carol Greene has lived a nomads life for years and only recently reconnected with the daughter. Maybe it's time to settle down. She chooses the next town off the freeway to stop. In less than 24-hours, she's purchased a stable and found herself in handcuffs and accused of murder.

This story has humor, some light intrigue and suspense with just a touch of romance. There are multiple suspects and motives to choose from.

This could be called a mystery with a second chance for romance, connection with family and starting life over. I think this might be the beginning of a new series, your thoughts?

I kept turning the pages to see what was going to happen next so I'm giving this story five stars. I recommend this series and hope you will love it too.

I received a free copy of both of these stories via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder
Carol Green is on her cell phone with her daughter, Mary, talking about Carol's nomadic life. Carol has lived out of her commercial van for years. Mary was taken from Carol and her ex-husband, Daniel, shortly after Mary's birth by Daniel's wealthy parents. Mary told Carol if she settled down she would come live with her . The next town Carol saw on her map was Tinsel Pine, CT.
Carol pulled off the next exit and headed to search for coffee. She finds the Golden Caff where Lucy Inkman is in a deep conversation with a man about the stable and champion racehorses she would like to sell. The man declines the offer. Carol approached Lucy and purchases the stable and the horses, Holly and Mistletoe. After Carol agrees to purchase the stable and horses she decides to look for a hardware and pet store. While walking around town she meets William Gourd, the owner of the hardware store. He agrees to show her around town if she will help him put up his Christmas decorations later that evening.
Carol agrees to do so. William takes her to the pet store which is owned by his sister, Marcy. William spots a kitten and purchases it for his daughter. With her purchases loaded into her van, Carol heads to the stable to check out her purchases. After straighening the stable a bit, Carol heads over to William's to decorate.Upon arriving at William's home, she finds the door ajar and William is hanging ftom the balcony with a string of lights around his neck.;
Carol runs next door to Brogan Peterson's, the Chief of Police.
Mary arrives and rents a motel room and begins to work for Marcy at the pet store. The three of them begin to try to find William's killer.
This is a quick read with great characters. I received an advance copy. This is my honest review.

** It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder - Wendy Meadows **

I loved the premise of this novella!

Divorcee Carol Green finds an amazing new town to settle in, but murder lies in wait amongst the quant holiday atmosphere.

Can Carol and long estranged daughter Mary solve the mystery and save themselves before their holidays are ruined permanently.

It was filled with twists, turns and a little bit of romance!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

** Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin by Sam Cheever **

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin” is the 4th instalment in the “Country Cousins” Mystery series and is the first one I have read.

When Rudy-Bob Hortmann is found dead in a snowbank after the Deer Hollow Christmas party, Joey and her PI boyfriend Hal set out to locate his killer, along with the help of her Pitbull, Caphy, and Siamese cat, Lalee. Joey also ends up with Rudy-Bobs pot-bellied pig Ethel Squeak.

I really enjoy when animals are part of the cast of characters in a story. I have now purchased the previous books in the series.

It was an entertaining read filled with humour, a murder, plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Plus did I say ANIMALS!

I highly recommend this series

I read Santa’s Little Thief, by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson, one of the short stories in this collection.

The children’s gifts have gone missing and the dead elf they found in the cooler has disappeared, turned to sparkle and poof, gone. Lily Sprayberry and the ladies at Millie’s café have never seen anything like that, they figure they are better off keeping this to themselves. The ladies end up on a wild goose chase, tracking down the presents in time for the children to get them after the Christmas parade. I always think it is fun when familiar characters have an adventure outside the normal story line. Carolyn Ridder Aspenson does not disappoint with this fun novella.

I also read Baby It’s Murder Outside by Stephanie Damore.

Ziva, Aria and the gang are back in this fun Christmas mystery. There is a storm brewing, Ziva and Finn are heading to the Mrs. J’s Holiday party at Henderson House, her first as Mayor. Nothing puts a damper on a party like a body in the closet. As the storm closes in the guests realize that the murderer must still be in their midst. Can Ziva solve the crime before there is another victim? I enjoyed this fun little closed door mystery, Stephanie Damore is always entertaining.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED BUMPKIN is the fourth story in the Country Cousin Mystery series and just one of 12 stories found exclusively in the 12 Cozy Mystery Carols of Christmas.

Spending time with Joey and her beau, Hal, made me think of the lines of the Christmas Carol: “Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.
Since we’ve nowhere to go, let it snow; let it snow; let it snow.”

But, I had to add my own verse:
Our favorite Santa’s been left a chillin’ in a snowbank and his pot-belly pig is a reelin’
Though the killer we must know; Still it snows; still it snows; still it snows!

In this series, the murder is always upstaged by the adorable animals. This time the victim’s pot-bellied pig outshines Joey’s Siamese cat and Pitbull. This is not an easy task!

This was a fun mystery with some great turns, surprises… and frosted cookies!

.A collection of 12 murder mysteries, written by different authors.
Here are a few of the stories' content:

The Red-nosed Bumpkin
A man, who was mostly a recluse, comes out of his shell once a year for Christmas to be Santa for the local kids. But one day, just after his appearance he is found murdered. Arno, Deputy of Deep Hollow and his friends Joey and Hal help him trying to solve the murder.

It is beginning to look a lot like murder:
Carol was always an independent spirit and lived out of her car for a long time. But when her daughter challenges her she bargains with her that should she grow roots, her daughter will come to live with her. Carol pulls up in the next town - Tinsel Pine - she likes the place and when she overhears a woman needing to sell a barn and horses she takes it as a sign. A lovely small town, but just one day in she finds a murdered man, and becomes a suspect.
To rid herself of the suspicion as much as to help the police she and her daughter start sleuthing.
A well-written, entertaining cozy mystery, with a few quirky characters to liven up the story.

My review is for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bumpkin. A great cozy mystery set during the hustle and bustle of the holidays. When the town Santa is found dead, there's no shortage of who to suspect took out Santa. Warning there are some laugh out loud parts in the story line but this is a highly entertaining holiday cozy mystery. The characters are fun and entertaining and there's a bit of mystery, action and suspense in the story.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Murder
I'm never disappointed with a book from Wendy Meadows and this one did not disappoint! There's humor, intrigue and suspense in this holiday cozy mystery and some romance added in. You'll find yourself turning the pages from the first page to the last page to find out what happens. No spoilers here, just the advice to grab your copy, curl up by the fire with your favorite drink and start reading

This is a review of the story, It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Murder, a novella in the book by Wendy Meadows.
When Carol Green's daughter says she will come live with her mom if she settles down, Carol stops in the next town she comes across. When an interesting proposition comes to her attention, she decides to jump at the chance to both put down some roots and start a new business. Unfortunately, her encounter with a Good Samaritan makes her the center of attention when crime strikes her newly adopted town. When she decides to investigate in order to clear her name, she is warned off by the local Sheriff, but Carol and her daughter move forward with their investigation anyway. I love Carol's determination and her willingness to create a new life for herself. I loved this novella which is part of the wonderful book, The 12 Cozy Mystery Carols of Christmas, and I highly recommend reading it especially if you love this time of year and it's infectious spirit.

Who would DO such a dastardly deed right here at Christmastime...to someone sooo beloved of Deer Hollow’s youngsters?!? And Why?!? Can local amateur investigator Joey Fulle solve this unspeakable holiday homicide....BEFORE the kiddies get wind of it?!? Will Deer Hollow’s most festive season be ruined...or will a miracle occur?!? My review is only for It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Murder by Wendy Meadows,
This was a great short cozy. It really was entertaining and I enjoyed it.
Carol was seeing the country in her travel van. She finally made a promise to her daughter Mary that the next town she come to she would settle down. Then Mary could come live with her finally.
The first town she comes to is Tinsel Pine, Connecticut. It was very quaint. Within an hour she purchased a stable and horses. The people seem nice. She met William Gourd who owned the hardware store. He wanted to help and supply what she needed to fix everything. But the next day she finds him at home, murdered and the Chief of Police Brogan Peterson makes her suspect number one. Carol convinces him to let her help solve the murder to prove she didn't do it. Along with Mary they work to find out who did it.
