My dreams constantly haunt me, whether I’m asleep or awake.

Six months ago, my life veered off course when my fiancée disappeared with no explanation.

The partying lifestyle I'd adopted to cope, ended in an accident that left my body as broken as my heart. To make matters worse, I’ve managed to run off countless physical therapists in charge of the in-home rehabilitation I need to get me back on my feet.

My last chance at staying in my own house is gift-wrapped in wavy, auburn hair and startling gray eyes.

The woman that shattered my heart.

Kelsey is the only one left to help heal my body. And her unexpected arrival brings with it the opportunity to ask the countless questions I thought I’d carry forever.

But her answers only create a new mountain to overcome, one I never imagined.

Now, more than ever, I need to prove to Kelsey that despite everything, we are meant to be a family...

This entire series has been one that just rips at your heartstrings from the word go. Meant to be Family is absolutely no different. Even though Connor starts out a bit brash and difficult, every single one of his actions is forgivable and entirely understandable. After all, he lost the woman of his dreams without being given a reason why, and then he found himself involved in a harrowing car accident that leaves him with nightmares and a powerful drive to find out how the other accident victims are doing.

But when his behavior becomes intolerable to those around him and he winds up scaring off a whole slew of in-home physical therapists who are his only shot at staying home rather than being transferred to an inpatient rehab facility, he's given one final chance to play his cards right. However, that seems impossible when the answer to his prayers winds up being the very woman who abandoned him without an explanation six months prior.

Hoooo boy. Can you say drama? Conflict? Emotional turmoil? This book is delightfully rife with it all. You can feel the chemistry and passion and desire sizzling off the page between Kelsey and Connor, yet Foster keeps the reader wondering just why Kelsey would ever leave the man she so clearly still loves. Until, of course, we aren't wondering any more and suddenly... neither is Connor.

I won't go into any more detail because, truly, you need to read this one for yourself. It's a classic tale but one told with a wonderful twist and some unexpected heartache. Still, because Foster is incapable of doing anything less, it ends with an HEA that'll leave you satisified and coming back for more... which, thankfully, there is plenty of (and even more to come!)

Be sure to check out the entire series and everything else this brilliant author has written. Trust me, you won't regret that you did.

Absolutely adored this story! Although, I love every one of Amelia Foster's books, so it wasn't surprising when I dove in head first and didn't come up for air until her patented HEA!!

When Kelsey makes the decision to end things with Connor, she knows it's what's best for him. Too bad Connor doesn't feel the same. Now she's back, only Connor's changed. Seemingly no longer the tenderhearted man she loved (loves), he's grumpy and angry. Kelsey's the last person he wants but she's the only rehab therapist who can heal him. Will Connor ever find out why she left him with no reason?

This is a banner day for me - 2 tearjerkers in one review day is 2 too many! But, though tragic, Meant to be Family is a wonderful story full of love and hope. As second chance romances go, this one is top notch!

This is the third book in the series and the first one that I have read. It was a very touching and wonderful story about loss and second chances. Connor and Kelsey were a couple for 6 years and due to one unforeseen circumstance, she left him without a reason why. She comes back into his life when he is at his lowest and when they are finally able to talk, she is able to tell him why she left. She thought it was better for him but in reality, it wasn’t. This story was so good and it was nice to see them overcome the past and get the HEA they deserved.

The third book in the series brings Conor and Kelsey's story. It's a second chance romance with all the emotions and issues they will need to overcome. The author does a wonderful job developing their relationship and moves it fluidly with her descriptive scenes. It's a beautiful love story and I enjoyed reading. I would recommend this book.

The books in this series just keep getting better and better. Meant To Be Family (Meant To Be #3) is such a touching and beautiful second chance romance. Connor and Kelsey’s story was relatable, emotional, they went through so much and at times my heart broke for them. They were an amazing, charming couple and they more than deserved a HEA. I love the Carlisle boys and I’m looking forward to reading Dean’s book.

The Carlisle men are some pretty special guys, once they realize the error or their ways.

This story focuses on Connor but I was excited to see tidbits of Tanner & Izzy and Wyatt & Georgia from the first two books in this series.  While you don't have to read those books to enjoy this one, some of the past that is mentioned will make a little more sense if you have read the first two books.

Connor and Kelsey have been together for a very long time after meeting at college.  They endure a lot together and despite their differences manage to have a successful relationship...that is until Kelsey walks about the door with no explanation.  It takes an accident to bring them back together.  It isn't an easy road back and it takes a lot of give and take on both Connor and Kelsey's part.

I do have to say I was very disappointed with Kelsey and the reason why she left.  Why did she not talk to Connor about what was going on in her life?  Did she really think he was going to leave her over something that wasn't her fault?

I do understand the frustration on Kelsey's part (not why she left) with Connor's behavior and not cleaning up after himself, but Kelsey is a little OCD and needs to relax.  My husband is like Kelsey and I'm like Connor so I get that dynamic and how hard it can be on both sides.  Of course, if you ask my husband we live in a hoarder's house which is the furthest thing from the truth!

I enjoyed the past and present chapters because it gives the reader a history about Connor and Kelsey and their relationship.  I learned so much of their life in the past and how it affected their life in the present.

If you are in the mood for something light but still has some twists and turns and a happy ending, then this book might be the one you want to pick up next.

We give it 4 paws up.

Firstly just to start with saying I adore this whole series. The first book was brilliant, and then it got even better with the second and I can safely say once again, it’s just gotten better with the third. This is definitely my favourite of the series. Connor and Kelsey take you on a whirlwind journey of emotions. There’s so much depth to the characters, they aren’t one dimensional or black and white. They are flawed, complex, relatable and just damn lovable. When characters are written well and I fall in love with them, I can forgive a story almost anything. But this time there was nothing to forgive because not only are the characters amazing, the story is engaging, intriguing and beautiful all the way through. I’ve read this book twice already and guaranteed not for the last time. Now I’m going to go happy sigh my happily ever after loving heart out.

Kelsey and Connor were a couple about six years ago then Kelsey left without an explanation. Connor was heartbroken and led a partying lifestyle that ended in a tragic accident. Kelsey comes back into his life when he is needing an occupational therapist. The therapist turns out to be Kelsey. Connor has changed from the man she loved into a grumpy unhappy man. She thought she was doing the right thing when she left him but turns out it was all wrong. Can the two work things out and become friends then more? A good read that made me tear up at times and happy at others.

I really enjoyed reading Meant to be Family by Amelia Foster because it was such an emotional story about Connor and Kelsey. They were together for a while and were engaged, then Kelsey just ups and takes off with no notice of where she went. Connor was beside himself and he has something happens to him that changes his life. Kelsey comes back into his life as his physical therapist. This story was so emotional and it told the story in the past and that lead up to the present time. It was a wonderful book that I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest opinion. I loved it for the passion that each of the character feels for the other. I love their pet names for each other as well. I would highly recommend reading this beautiful story.

These Carlisle men are pretty special. This story's about Connor and he's my favorite Carlisle so far. It was great to see bits and pieces of the previous couples; that being said, if you want to understand some of the dynamics, I'd highly recommend you read the first two books first. Anyways, back to this book, Connor and Carlisle meet in college and go through a lot together. Their relationship, in spite of their differences, appears to be successful until Kelsey walks out the door. Their story is complicated and sincere. Their path very tumultuous but worth the work.

His life has sent him a curveball when she disappeared without a word. He drank to block it all and ends up in an accident breaking his body badly. He has sent all them away, now he is told he has one more chance or he will lose everything. She reappears and he wants all his questions answered. Will she tell him? See if she will

A lack of communication can cause so much damage

Meant To Be Family is the third book in the Meant To Be Series Book by Amelia Foster. This is the story about Connor and Kelsey. They were college sweethearts and then got engaged with a future mapped out together. But suddenly and without explanation Kelsey leaves and Connor is shattered. Trying to cope her turns to bars and alcohol, a lot of alcohol. But the other women do not enter the picture as every time he picks someone up he just cannot do it as he still loves Kelsey.
After an accident Connor is in need of physical therapy but he is angry and rude with all the PT's that come work with him. They are down to the last PT, his last chance, and in walks Kelsey. Well you can imagine how that goes over. But as he wants to get better he is forced to work with Kelsey. It does give him a chance to vent to her about what happened, what has happened to him, what she did to him, etc. She is taking it for the most part as she does still love Connor and wants to see him well again. Along the way secrets get revealed which may give them a second chance if they are willing to open their hearts to each other and take the leap of faith

MEANT TO BE FAMILY – Book 3
The story has pain, secrets, second chances, and heartbreak. This is Kelsey and Connor’s story. These two are in love but she walks away. She has her reasons but didn’t tell him. When they meet again, they try for a second time, but will it work with all the hurts of the past.

I struggled with connecting to all the characters in this series at one time or another. At some points the stories dragged, and I had to put the story down and come back to it. Might just have been me. The groveling in the first book went on for entirely too long. Made the book drag a bit.

Amelia Foster is a new to me author, and while I'm somewhat miffed that it took me so long, I'm also glad that I started with the emotionally charged Meant to be Family. The feels were off the chart, and I spent my time trying not to cry throughout, as it's a second chance romance at it's finest. It's the story of Connor & Kelsey. There were each other's everything at one time, but Kelsey made the unilateral decision to end things for whatever reason (I can't tell you why). Well, it blew up in her face, as it changed him a great deal, and when she comes back, he's a broody, angry, rude man. Unfortunately or fortunately, she's the only rehab therapist who can help get him back on his feet. This starts them on quite the emotional journey, and frankly, my frustration was high, though it hurt so good. But fate isn't intimidated by his attitude, and neither is Kelsey to be honest, although it did bother her once or twice. So, does Connor ever learn the real reason Kelsey left him?! And will her ever forgive her?! Hit that one click button to find out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

A truly emotional second chance romance. 💞💓💖💞

Connor and Kelsey met in college and were in love, right from the start. But even after being together six years, they were torn apart by a secret that Kelsey just couldn't share with Connor. When Connor is injured in a serious car crash and has to learn to walk again, Kelsey, a physical therapist, becomes his last chance at doing rehab in-home versus an inpatient rehab facility.

Kelsey knows that she might be Connor's only chance at walking again and agrees to help him even though it's killing her inside being around him and not with him anymore. The question is whether or not he can forgive her for keeping her secret and whether she can forgive herself. 💗🔥💕

This is the third book in the Meant To Be series but it can easily be read as a standalone. 😉🥰

This book is the third one in the Meant To Be series. Meet Connor and Kelsey, these two have a past relationship that ended with broken hearts and a lot of questions. Connor was in an accident and needs a physical therapist to help him but he keeps running the others off. Kelsey is now a physical therapist and his last shot to get him on his feet. This was a really enjoyable second chance story. There is so much in this book, the story line flows so smoothly and the characters, they bring you in and have you on their emotional roller coaster right with them. This is not an easy journey for Connor and Kelsey but the journey is so worth the read. Enjoy!

Six years ago, six months ago

Six years ago, good boy Connor fell for Kelsey in college. Six months ago, she ghosted on him and he spiraled out of control, drowning his sorrows. He tried to hook up with a dozen other girls (but chickened out and I didn’t care for that, shows total lack of judgment in trying to take home randoms).
He ends in a crash and needs physical therapy.
It’s Kelsey who can fix him internally and externally.
Their story is told in past and present. I didn’t care for what Kelsey decided all on her own and I did like Connor.

4.5

I'm a new reader to Amelia Foster and I thoroughly enjoyed this second chance romance. Connor and Kelsey are the perfect pairing and definitely stole my heart.

When Kelsey walked away from her fiance for reasons you will just have to read about it devastated him. Connor's life began to spiral and when things take a definite turn for the worst Connor and Kelsey once again cross paths.

An emotional story that will tug at your heartstrings as you root for Connor and Kelsey to find their way back to each other.

Kelsey thinks she is doing what’s best for Connor but is it? When Connor’s fiancé up and leaves his life veers off path until and accident leaves him hurt. The one person he thought he would never get answers from appears back into his life. Will Kelsey give him the answers he longs to know? Will the answers he has longed for bring more heartache? I loved this book. It is a very good story of love and some of the things that other couples face. I would love to read more. I highly recommend.
