"That girl who got knocked up in high school.”

When Maggie faints during a business meeting and lands up in ER because of over exhaustion, he boss puts her on mandatory 3 months leave of absence. And she calls Porter as reinforcement.
Porter has been in love with Maggie since 12 years but never said anything about his feelings. And the minute he hears she is in the hospital, he drops everything to be with her.
There is a reason why Maggie has never been home for more than a flying visit and now she has to spend over 3 months there. Having Po

This book is so good! I have to say that I had so many emotions reading this book. I was upset at times and wanted to strangle some people. There were times my heart broke over circumstances that should never have happened. Many times my heart went out to people because they were afraid to love or be rejected. I was happy to see love that should have happened sooner was getting a chance. I loved the ending which touched my heart and brought happy tears to my eyes. If you have been reading all th ...more

The bond between Porter and Maggie has survived sadness, separation, gossip and secrets. This latest installment of the Misfit Inn series involves all of these things but more than that, it’s about love. Love between old friends, and, hopefully, new lovers. Between sisters, mothers and daughters, and significant others.
I read this book in one sitting, anxious to see what happens, but invariably both sad and happy as I reached the end. As a fan of the series, as well as the romance genre in gene

Bring it on Home is the fourth book in Kait Nolan's wonderful "Misfit Inn" series. Each book has focused on a different foster sister as they struggle to carve out satisfying lives for themselves and find love. In Bring it on Home, we finally get Maggie's story. Maggie has been a force to be reckoned with in each of the previous books. She's been very strong and very forceful, even while being mostly out of state in California. Maggie is a workaholic on the verge of collapse. She's been running ...more

Kait Nolan, ‘Bring it on Home’, a Misfit Inn novel.

As an ARC reader I received a free copy and promised an honest review. Here it is. English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.

Rating: 4 stars (of 5).

In general: Romantic second chance in small town.

Main characters:
- Maggie Reynolds.
She was born and raised as a foster child at the Misfit Inn in Eden’s Ridge in the Deep South of the US. Got pregnant when she was 17 years old. The father

I have loved the previous Eden Ridge books (don't worry they are all good enough to stand on their own) so was looking forward to the final Reynolds sisters story.
We have had hints that there might be something bubbling under the surface with Porter & Maggie but watching their story unfold ticks every box.

Immediately you know Maggie is close to a burn out but how can this juggernaut of business suddenly be finding the boardroom stressful, how are things she took daily in her stride ge

I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of bring it on home, while these are not my regular style of reading I do find myself not wanting to miss any of the misfit series, the characters that are focused on are Maggie and porter, and their turbulent relationship. Maggie is very uptight when we first meet her with a whole world of commitments upon her shoulders, unfortunately most of which she has piled on herself, she has to learn to relax and let her guard down. Porter is the boy next door ty ...more

I have come to love the stories by this talented author and this latest addition to the Misfit Inn series, proves my point.
Maggie Reynolds left home after a teenage pregnancy. She not only became a lawyer but is a very successful one in L.A. But when she faints in the middle of a meeting due to total burnout, her boss not only forces her to an extended vacation, but she also contacts Porter Ingram. The boy, now man, who has loved her for over twelve years. He drops everything to pick her u

Kait Nolan has done it again. Another Misfit Inn book. Another of the sisters and her story. Maggie has been in California but becomes so stressed and overworked that she has put herself in danger. So Porter goes out to bring her back home to recover. They have been friends for over ten years but, since Maggie doesn’t get home often, they don’t see each other much. Now they have time to talk about their past and the problems that caused Maggie to run away from the family and make a life in Calif ...more

This book is jammed packed with all the good stuff. Drama, Mystery, and of course Romance.

I laughed, I cried, and I loved every minute of it. Maggie and Porter got the absolute perfect ending!

Maggie Reynolds is a corporate lawyer who has been seriously overworked for the last 18 months bet balancing her job and helping her family. When her health starts to be affected she has no choice but to slow down. And what better way to do it than going home.

This is the fourth book in the Misfit Inn series featuring four kick-ass sisters-by-choice who, following the death of their foster mother, prove that love is thicker than blood. Spirited Kennedy, sweet, strong Pru and fiery Athena each found their HEA, and now it is loyal-to-a-fault, proud, successful Maggie’s turn. She would rather not return to her hometown where everybody points their finger at her, but she is forced to after a health scare. Enter Porter --- oh oh oh Porter! The girls in thi ...more

Almost from the beginning, we could feel the chemistry between Porter and Maggie, and I’m so glad to finally know the story behind it. Mind you, the story’s so juicy, I don’t know what I can really say about it without getting into spoiler territory. Let me just say that this book was a little bit of an emotional roller-coaster ride. I adored Porter. Even when screwed up and behaved like a jerk, it was so easy to see how important Maggie was to him. I loved seeing Maggie learn to be vulnerable w ...more

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from booksprout in exchange for giving my two cents. We met Maggie in previous books as the powerhouse attorney with "balls of steel" so to speak. While attending an important mtg, she faints and her boss put her on mandatory medical leave for the rest of the year. What Maggie doesnt know is that Genevieve called Porter when she ended up in the hospital. Porter is beside himself...dropping everything and flies to LA to be with Maggie. The next thing is that both are ...more

Finally we get Maggie's story! And it was as good as I was hoping it would be. Maggie has overworked herself to the point of making herself sick with stress. Little does she know that her life is about to take a drastic turn. Porter comes charging to her side to help. We all need someone like Porter in our lives! She is sent home to her family to rest. Maggie doesn't know how to go that far, but seems to find a mode that allows her to enjoy her personal life as well as work. She and Porter have ...more

Maggie & Porter's Story
by OHNana

Another hit in the Misfit Inn Series. Maggie is a very busy Type A personality in California, but overworked and stressed.
Porter stayed home in Eden's Ridge to build his business of restoration and building new.
Maggie is forced to take time off after overworking for too long. So she goes home to Eden Ridge, just in time for Pru's baby to be born. Tough Maggie since she miscarried as a teenager after a brief relationship with a loc

This book is so much more than another heartwarming, romantic novel featuring the delightful people of Eden's Ridge, Tennessee. Kait Nolan artfully weaves a tale of not so unrequited love, overcoming fear, fighting for justice and what it truly means to find your way home. Porter is the guy who always had Maggie's back. Maggie is the girl who always had Porter's heart. Ten years apart didn't change that. There are so many layers and themes in this book; it is a must read with all the feels (NOT ...more

Maggie and Porter have been friends for many years. He has been in love with her and everyone knows but her. I have really enjoyed this series and getting to know Joan's girls. Maggie hasn't been my favorite sister until this book. You find out why she is so "prickly" (my word) and how Porter's love changes her. She is now my favorite!!! Xander has been my favorite guy but Porter is at least tied with him now. When Maggie comes home will he finally tell her how he feels? So many secrets come out ...more

Another ball hit out of the ballpark!

Kait has done it again. Ms Nolan has finished “The Misfit Inn Series” having so much depth and personality of its subject, and of many members of her core family.
“Bring it On Home” has engrossed us with the anguish of how a deeply embedded promise/threat has nearly destroyed Maggie Reynolds belief in happiness, love, and trust. Maggie has come home to Eden Ridge, having been gone a good dozen years. A current workaholic, Maggie is in desperate ne

The Misfit Inn fits me, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each of the sisters in this series.
Maggie is an incredible shero, and I identified with her issues immediately. I’ve been wondering about her story since the first book in the series and waiting -not so patiently-for Porter to step into the spotlight.
Porter was nearly too-goo-to-be-true, and I would have liked to see his wound developed more fully. Together, they’re an unstoppable pair.
My favorite part of this was the way

This is the fourth and final Misfit Inn book. It features Maggie and Porter. After a health scare, Porter and Maggie's boss convince her to go home for some R&R.
Porter had waited 12 years for Maggie to recognize his feelings. Now she's back and he's hoping for the best.
I loved Porter and Maggie's story. The true friendship and the chemistry is amazing. They might be my favorite couple.
The story of course includes Kennedy and Xander, Pru and Flynn, and Logan and Athena.

This was a fabulous instalment in the life, love and stories of the owners of the Misfit Inn. So much has happened since we met this quirky and maybe a little messed up bunch; but since the loss of their mother, the adopted sisters have been finding their way... usually back to Mississippi and the Misfit Inn.

This story is no exception within this wonderful series, it is full of laughter and joy, self discovery, family and romance. This quirky group give the readers an exciting and em

Maggie and Porter met in foster care as teens. Their circumstances (broken families and a teenage pregnancy) just didn't allow them to be in the right time and space for their emerging feelings. The story of Maggie and Porter unwinds when Maggie comes back to Eden Ridge for a sabbatical from California where she had built her career. She and Porter had been an item when she was in high school and remained friends. Maggie loved being home with her sisters and all the babies.
But her history of how she has come to leave beside her shame of getting pregnant and being notorious in the town is revealed as she finds projects to work on to help the town as well as her reconnection with Po

This story of Maggie and Porter is a dream come true for both of them. You find out why Maggie returns to the Misfit Inn, which is where she and her foster siblings were raised by their late foster mother. Porter has always had feelings for Maggie and it’s so fun and emotional reading about how their lives are going to change. Another great story by Kait Nolan. I have always enjoyed reading Kait Nolan's books and this is no exception. What I love most about her books is the characters and the small town setting. In this book, I admire Maggie's strength in her dealings with people's perceptions of her. I love how Porter is so patient and caring with Maggie. I also enjoy the glimpses of her interaction with her caring sisters. I was so captivated by the book that I read in a little more than a day. I love Maggie and Porter's second chance romance. I have enjoyed all the Kait Nolan books I've read (and that is almost all of them)! But this one is definitely my new favorite. Maggie is so relatable with her current workaholic attitude and her past. Porter is so strong, sweet, and patient. It's nice to see glimpses of how the relationship came about. Add in the family dynamic and the fun just increases. It is also wonderful to catch up with characters from the previous books.

The last in the Eden Ridge series has finally come and with it, Maggie and Porters story. I've been waiting for this one!

Both Maggie and Porters characters are steadfast, loyal, strong and self-sacrificing and each with a back story many would crumble under. Their story is deep and delicious.

This final book of characters who are well and truly woven into your heart, absorbs you back into the Reynolds family in that tight-knit way Kait Nolan has that makes it difficult for the reader

Gosh I've loved the series! I'm so bummed that this particular series is over because I've enjoyed each book so much. This book was a fabulous wrap-up of the Misfit Inn series. I highlighted so many passages. Some because they made me laugh, some because they made me swoon. I had a goofy grin on my face through so much of the story - and then boom! A bomb drops and my chin hit the floor. It was awesome. I loved how it ended while still leaving things open for more (hopefully.) And I say this in ...more

Another great book in the Misfit inn series. Maggie and Porter have known each other for years.; They were both foster children. Ten years ago, Maggie got pregnant and lost her baby. After that, she had gone to college, to law school and had a great job in California but had never dealt with her feelings about losing her baby. When Maggie has adrenal fatigue or burnout, her boss calls Porter and he flies to California to help her. Maggie tried so hard to be strong and independent, but she was so ...more
