The second installment of the Gods & Monsters trilogy is everything I hoped for and much more. soo much action, adventure, romance, heartbreak and lots of tears. We see Jane experience all the emotions in the human heart and the author write them soo magnificent that you feel them too. Jane is not your average heroine amd The Fallen Queen is not your typical vampire book. For me was a no sleep the day I started reading because Is one of those books you cannot put down even at 5am in the ...more

Where to even begin? Gods and Monsters book one was like a rollercoaster ride, it shook you up, made you feel like your insides were going to come out of your mouth and you were gonna vomit all over the place while simultaneously crying and laughing like a maniac. It's hard to believe you even survived it. All of that is nothing compared to book two, The Fallen Queen. No, The Fallen Queen was like base jumping out of a fucking plane. Without a parachute, butt ass naked with the whole world ...more

I really wanted to read this trilogy, I loved the fact that all the legends and myths are mentioned, and everything is well tough. However, the main character Jane is really boring, she’s crying all the time, really self-centered, she wants everyone to love her, to always be here for her but she doesn’t show the same patience and love that other give her.
The love triangle is the same : boring. Jane can’t make up her mind, make everyone suffer, and at the end of the book I couldn’t really stand

I absolutely LOVE this book. I have been following and reading Janie's work for a few years now and she never ceases to amaze me! The characters are always so relatable. I love the way her work mixes a little of this genre with a little of that genre. It's always been hard to catch my attention with books, but definitely not with these books. Vampires, werewolves, and Gods..oh my! Janie, you freaking rock girl! Thank you so much for giving me an ARC!

This book has originally been read by me as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy), courtesy of the author herself. What that means is that it had been sent out to all readers who participated in getting a chance to read The Fallen Queen before it's been proofread. Now, as much as it would've been likely that there'd be few errors here and there, what makes this book really special to me as a G&M reader is that all I could really focus on was the context of the whole novel.

Forget the punctuation

I was generously provided with an ARC from the author in exchange for honest review. Any quotes used I. This review are subject to change upon completion of the novel.

The Fallen Queen was a thrilling experience for me as I was once again a participating beta reader for the lovely Janie Marie. It had been a while since I read the beginning chapters of the novel and I was delightfully surprised when re-reading as I realised this is a HELL of a book. Seriously, so much happens! If this book was on

The Fallen Queen is the second installment, in Gods And Monsters trilogy is here to shake your world upside down.
And I am so grateful to have been chosen to read the Advanced Reader Copy, i.e., ARC of The Fallen Queen.
And I could not have been more proud of this book and the most wonderful author, Janie Marie's ability to make you feel things like never before. She continues to amaze me, with how much life she breathes in this book, with just her words.
If you thought the first book was an

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book in return for an honest review, and it's once again a pleasure to write a review for this series.
[Again, I won't be giving away any spoilers of information about the storyline that spoils future readers.]

For those that have read book 1 'Gods & Monsters', and if you think that one was happy just grab on because it will be a rollercoaster.
I thought about this review and what to write while reading but mostly while I was driving home after

Gods & Monsters saved me before. Now, The Fallen Queen kept me sane.

Dumbfounded. A word that truly suits how I was after I finish reading The Fallen Queen.
Still stunned to even think, it took time for me to start this review. I’m cramming for words as I write.
Overwhelming emotions from the start. My heart beats faster as I read the first part of it. You suddenly find tears falling in your eyes. Then next thing you know you’re smiling, giggling, laughing like an idiot. A turmoil of

I read an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Also I'm gonna write this review without spoilers.

This book will live up to all your expectations. It's book 2 of the Gods & Monsters series and it's just as good if not better than the first. In true Janie Marie fashion you'll be taken through the entire range of emotions. You'll read a part of the book and have to take a breath just to be able to get through your emotions of anger, pure joy or overwhelming sadness, but that's what makes this

I rarely drop and do not finish a book, no matter how crap it is. I just go read it until its over.

Sure, I read the first book, and its bearable, but this book, is in a league of its own. IT IS SO BAD. WTF WAS THAT. Look, it has the makings of a good story. I like Angels, Demons, Vampires, Gods, but all in one book?! Nothing makes sense! Is this a reverse harem gone to hell?! Plus the most annoying heroine ever written! WTF is wrong with this heroine? All she does is cry, dry hump and stare

I love vampire books and this trilogy had such great reviews that I thought for sure it would be a winner for me. The story line held a lot of promise; unfortunately, I just couldn't relate to the characters at all. They were all pretty much a mess, the main female character crying and depressed 90% of the time, and I ended up skimming more than I read. I made it through two books, but I won't be reading the third.

If you're reading this review, you want to see if buying the second installment of the Gods and Monsters trilogy is worth your while - it is! (Or you're in search of a good book in which case - go find Gods and Monsters, it's book one)

To sum up pretty much everything I'm trying to say below (for those who want a quick review) : "A stunning novel. It kept my mind in a constant whir of excitement to keep reading. A riveting experience."

WOW! The author of this trilogy will honestly blow your mind!

If you think Gods & Monsters was really good then you'll be even more amazed with The Fallen Queen. Expect another rollercoaster of a journey. If anything a much more intense one. I don't think I can express how amazing of a job Janie Marie did on writing TFQ just like G&M. You can only expect great things with her writing.
TFQ takes you deeper into the world Janie has created and you find yourself falling farther. But you can't help loving it regardless of the wide range of emotions you

I was so graciously gifted the ARC copy of TFQ, and I’m so grateful for it. In the past I had referred to Gods and Monsters as a rollercoaster of emotions, but that was before I read TFQ. This book blew G&M out of the water in terms of drama, emotion, and action. It had me reacting and feeling in ways a book had never given me before. I cried, I cringed, I face palmed, I got pissed, and then I cried again. All the emotional turmoil is completely worth it, though. Jane, David, and others who ...more

I have been reading Janie's work for a while now, specifically another book and now this series all which I've found to be excellent books! I received this as an advanced reader copy and was a fantastic gift. The Fallen Queen is the second book in the Gods & Monsters trilogy, and just like the first book, it does not disappoint. It's hard to pin a certain genre to it, because it's so much more than fantasy or romance.
The main character, Jane, is a tortured soul, to say the least. She's incredibly flawed and will never be a perfect heroine, but she doesn't need to be. In a world that's crumbling to pieces, all she needs to do is survive. That means she's got some inner demons to fight, some

I received an ARC of this book, I was in awe when I finished the first book in the series. I loved Jane like she was a part of my life. So when I got the chance to read The Fallen Queen early, I freaked out. I was scared the book wouldn't live up to my expectations, but it blew them out of the water. This book has everything you want in a book - drama, truth, struggles, and strength. You experience all of the up's and downs that Jane experiences as if they're your own. I would like to say I love the ARC I read. It kept me reading from the first page to the very last . I couldn't put it down. It is the second book in a series of three books. I love how they flow together. this one picks up where book 1 left off you continue the story of Jane's battle with herself, her love's and of course the battle continues against evil. You get to meet new people along the journey. most of the old friends and some foes are still around . I highly recommend this book. I would ...more

Thank you so much for the ARC of the second instalment of Gods and Monsters. I read the trilogy way back when it was in wattpad and I'm so happy to finally read the edited version. I don't know where to begin or how to describe this book. It's dark, funny, heart breaking..... I can feel it in my soul!!!!!! I don't think words can give it justice. I had received an ARC so I was lucky enough to get to read it before it's release. My expectation of this book have succeeded what I could of ever imagined. Romance, adventure, fantasy and heartbreak; it's a emotional rollercoaster but one you will be glad to be apart of. Janie Marie is an amazing author and she definitely does not disappoint in the second installation of the series. Jane is a such a strong character even when she has her weak moments, in one way or another you can relate to one of her characters in this book. Oh and the men! I was one of the lucky people who received an ARC of this book. I totally fell in love with the first book of this trilogy, Gods and Monsters, and I couldn't see how anything could be better. This book was!! I loved every second of it! It took me longer to read because I was an emotional wreck while I was reading, and I didn't want it to be over... Not even really sure how to rate this book... I go through moments where I want to slap the characters and am done with Jane. Then the next couple of chapters I'm like 'about time!' hmmm... Don't regret the read, finally happy to see things starting to take place.

I won a ARC copy of this book as well as the first one I read both of the books within a week. I loved the stories soo much. My favorite character is David because no matter what Jane is going through he is her rock. I just loved that soo much. I felt like I was part of the book while reading it. The story just draws you in and you can't put it down. Both books were written soo beautifully.

From the very first page of this book, there’s just this indescribable undercurrent of tension that does not disappear throughout the entire story - and it’s a massive one! There are points where it eases but, even then, you’re wondering what’s going to happen next because not having that tension makes it feel like something even bigger is coming - and it usually is. I mean, if you thought the zombies, vampires and werewolves of Gods and Monsters were the baddest of the bad, you have no idea ...more

Jane's whiney, self-righteous, blubbering really annoyed me, but oddly, I still love the storyline. So I kept going. I'll read the last one, just because I want to see how she dies.

Janie Marie is a wife and mother of three. She devotes her time to her family and her characters. She enjoys entertaining her readers by giving them glimpses of their favorite characters outside of the worlds she brought them to life in.

Her wish is simply that readers who manage to make it to the end of her stories take something away, and they keep it with them always.

“The door to Jane’s room opened quietly, and Death smiled at the sight of David entering. His smile grew as Lucifer moved away when David came to her side and lifted her out of the bed, cradling her unconscious form as he kissed her forehead and carried her out of the room. “I may have reminded him that,” Hypnos said, smiling, “sometimes, when a girl says she wants to be alone, that means: don’t let me go.” Death chuckled as they watched Lucifer vanish with a snarl. “Come,” Hypnos said again. “He will not touch her tonight.” “Thank you,” Death said quietly. Hypnos nodded, and without waiting, disappeared in a flash of white light. For a few seconds, Death could only stare at the empty doorway before he whispered, “Don’t let her go, David.” Then he, too, vanished into the darkness.” 0 likes
