I was plunged headfirst into this series and had to play a little bit of catchup because this is the third book, but the first one I’ve written. As it’s the last book in the series though, it has a nice little wrap up on the subplots. After the emotional journey that Aghilas and Grainne went on, I was particularly happy with the way their story came to a close.

A lovely conclusion to the trilogy. Aghilas and Grainne have met their matches in each other. With vastly different backgrounds and both strangers in a new land, they fight each other and those around them. Tempers flare hot and cold, with neither one willing to bend to the other's will. It makes for plenty of intense moments. They'll have to learn to live with each other and those around them in order to survive in the harsh land.
