4.5 stars.
A quote (from ARC):
“He might have been a flirt but there was something very solid about Braden.”

“Texas Christmas Tycoon”, by Katherine Garbera, is a fabulous story with amazing characters, wonderfully written.
The emotionally wounded hero, Braden, is such a fascinating character. So painfully honest, Braden and his hot corporate tycoon persona is carefully dismantled while deep defense mechanisms are revealed. What a journey

Texas Christmas Tycoon is the third book in the Dangerous Delaney series. It can be read as a standalone, however I recommend you grab the other two books as well.

The Delaney family has been through so much tragedy during the course of the series. In book one the unspeakable happens. By book three, I am cheering on the happily-ever-afters. I want nothing more for this family than to be happy and in love. I have always enjoyed reading this author. She does an amazing job with giving the reader

This is 3rd in the Dangerous Delaneys series, and can be read as a standalone but if possible, I would suggest reading them in order as there are a lot of characters who have been in previous books. I found quite confusing, particularly at the start where there is a mini info dump telling you who is who. It might be just me but I never take that info in, I would prefer the background to become apparent as each character appears. I don't like info dumps at any time other than for world building.

Really loved this book but it was so sad. Lane is a three year old little boy who lost his parents in a car accident. His Mother's family has taken him to raise and they are going to make sure that he has a great Christmas or at least the best considering the circumstances.

They are sharing memories of her so that he will remember her and so that they will as well. But the main thing is his happiness and trying to keep his life as normal as possible. Braden is the resident Grinch at Christmas

I enjoyed this, thought it was a cute read, but I felt a bit lost at times having not read the first two books in the series. I think although series about families are great you should have the ability to jump in to a book when it’s not an ongoing series about 2 specific characters ongoing and not feel lost. Unfortunately this doesn’t do that and I’ve read lots where they do it well. The couple were cute with lots of angst moments, but at times they felt a bit too cowardly both of them.

Thanks

This is one of those stories that will tug at your heart - often. It’s an emotional journey we take with Braden and Lea. Having had nothing but seeing their parents in bad relationships, they didn’t think they could ever love another because when the only examples you have are fraught with pain, you associate one with the other. There are others in the book who also have had poor experiences but were able to overcome them, who provide some what-ifs and maybes for Braden and Lea. This is a ...more

It’s going to be a difficult Christmas season in Last Stand, Texas this year. The accident that affected so many families, friends, or simply general acquaintances is a long road to travel – and the first Christmas, the first of everything after losing a loved one is the most difficult of all. The Delaney family lost their beloved sister and her husband in that accident leaving behind grieving brothers and one little boy who has had his foundation ripped from under

I received a review copy before release for an honest review.

This book was not my favorite. I hate to say that because I have enjoyed other books by this author and I felt the book was well written. For me the issue in this story was two fold that got in the way of me enjoying it.

The first is there are A LOT of characters and as I had never read this series before all the names and who they were in relation to each other made me very confused at times.

My second issues were the actual two main

Texas Christmas Tycoon by Katherine Garbera is another visit to my favorite fictional Texas town of Last Stand. The outlaws’ descendants are back for Braden’s story. The accident that happened when the overall series started has affected the Delaney family more than many of the others. A sister is lost and a child is left orphaned so the Christmas season is difficult. While this is a heartwarming story it could be a trigger for anyone who has lost a loved one this past year. The first holiday ...more

I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. This is the third book in the series about the Delaney Brothers of Last Chance Texas. This is a family that was impacted by the accident that occurred earlier in the year where a SUV hit a tour bus and Rose Delaney and TJ Maverick were killed. Rose and TJ left behind a son, Lane that is being raised by the 3 Delaney brothers and TJ’s sister. This book focuses on the youngest brother, Braden. His father was very angry and depressed when his ...more

A sweet heart touching Christmas story. One that leaves you feeling sad for half of it and smiling in little moments that involved Lane. Brayden hates Christmas and has since his childhood. He still feels the loss of his sister Rose but is trying to make the best of it for his nephew Lane who lost his parents. Lea was best friends with Rose, misses her and has her own family issues that makes it hard for her to trust. Both are not really looking for love but find an attraction with each other ...more

This was a 3.5 star story.
I have to confess that this is the first book I read by this author, and therefore , the first book in the series I have ever read.
Because of this , I felt I missed some of the background stories that make up the Delaney family and their friends that the reader was suppose to already know. Because of that , I didn’t fully connect with the characters.
That said it was touching, sweet, and at times cute .
Touching because the Delaney family and their friends were trying to

I liked this story, but didn't love it. Some aspects that I liked: realistic grief and getting counseling for family members after their sisters death (I have a pet peeve with books the suddenly cure depression, abuse, addictions, mental health issues etc with the love of a good man/woman, when reality is that their new relationship is likely to have issues in the near future because they didn't access counseling/treatment.) That being said, this was more of a sad and sweet story than a happy ...more

This is the 3rd book in the series and can be read as a stand alone, but all the characters make more sense if you read them in order. Lea has a mother who jumped from man to man and provided an unstable home life. Her best friend died in a car accident leaving a little boy behind. Braden's mother died when he was young and his father never returned. For different reasons than Lea, his home life was also dysfunctional. Now Braden feels that he is a chip off the old block and not worthy of being ...more

TEXAS CHRISTMAS TYCOON by Katherine Garbera. This is a first for me, both by the author, and accordingly, the series. It is books 3 so there is a bit of history that feel I missed out on, although the author did offer some background. I liked Lea - she is sweet and was so wonderful with Lane. I sort of liked Braden - I truly did not get his whole aversion to the holidays. Yes, it was explained, yet, for me, it just didn't jive. The author's writing style was fluid and read easily. Hearing Lane ...more

Texas Christmas Tycoon by Katherine Garbera is book number three in the Dangerous Delaney's series. This isLea Dunwoody andBraden Delaney's story.

Lea and Braden have suffered loses and difficult times in their life.Braden still hasn't recovered from his mother's death or his sister and her husband's death but is trying to move on for his nephew. Lea's parents are divorced and has a strange relationship with her mother. I could understand Braden's difficulty in moving on but at times I wanted to

This was the third book in this series. It was a really cute and sweet Christmas read. It was also one of those stories that really tugs at your heartstrings and stays with you long after you have finished reading it. The author did a really great job with the story line. I found that even though the events that happened were really sad that she made the Christmas story special. I am looking forward to going back and reading the first 2 books in this series. Another great book from Last Stand and the dangerous Delaneys. Though it seems like such a quick romance I loved how Brayden and Lea sort of completed each other and understood and accepted each other’s faults. This Christmas love story really captured the magic of the season and the hope many feel this time of year.

The third book in this series about the Delaney brothers.

Braden Delaney usually avoids christmas, but this year is trying to make it special for his nephew. He usually avoids relatioships too, but will all that change when he starts spending time with Lea.

An enhoyable but emotional read.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.

Loved it, I’m still sobbing over Lane’s visit to Santa & his question to Braden at the town Christmas tree. Braden & Lea were a very different pairing, in that they both had a deep fear of relationships. Lea usually just tries to fit in & in Braden’s case he just leaves altogether, but that isn’t happening this year because of the loss they’ve had in the death of Braden’s sister Rose. The emotional changes that happen to Lea & Braden as they navigate this new relationship were ...more
