Lots of banter, awkwardness, jealousy, and heat.

Midfielder Maclay “Mac” Logan is a loud-mouthed, tattooed ginger content with focusing on football. But when an adorably-freckled seamstress comes barreling into his life, he

Best friends to lovers trope is always tricky for me because I often want to shake my characters and say, "ARE YOU CRAZY? CAN'T YOU SEE YOU'RE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER?!" But it can't be that easy or we wouldn't believe it. And that split second when things shift from just friends to much, much more is so deliciously sexy, it makes the pain of their struggle 100% worth it. And there's such a beauty to friends finally connecting not only as

and now it is here, woohoo!!

I am a bit of sucker (in a non bj way) for a Scotsman, and Maclay Logan may have stolen my heart.

I love the friends-to-more story between Mac and Freya. Whilst they see themselves as just mates, we the reader can see that they are so much more.

Freya is the bomb dot com. There is a bit of Freya in all of us, and I need to be her friend. I felt her

It’s official! Blindsided is one of my all-time favorite Amy Daws books. It delivers her characteristic witty and hilarious banter with one hot Scot and sassy virgin.

“You blindsided me, Freya. You blindsided me with everything I never knew I wanted.”

Why do best friends think that they can add in The Sex, not have it change things and then think that the relationship can go back to normal when The Sex is over? NEWS FLASH: it doesn’t work!!! But that doesn’t stop me from loving these types of

Let me start off by saying this isn’t a book you breeze through. This is “THE BOOK” you savor. You take in every word. You listen to it. Reading and hearing this story in their accents makes you feel apart of their world. You feel these people, not characters, because I think of them as someone I would know.
I knew this book was going to be special. Amy took very real people and presented very real issues in a comical at times, thoughtful and respectful way. Don’t worry you get Amy in all her

Perfection! Pure and utter perfection! Freya’s and Mac’s story is at the top of my all time fave books and definitely my top Amy Daws novel! This story was jam packed with laughter and emotion! I found myself laughing then crying and then laughing again!

Freya and Mac’s dynamic since the beginning has always been hilarious! Their banter and quick whips at one another always had me rolling! But the thing I loved the most was their bond! They had this deep rooted foundation that no matter what

Blindisded is a fabulously stunning journey of finding and mistaking love for just good friendship and belonging. While there is nothing wrong with finding home with a wonderful person, what hurts is wanting more and being terrified of letting the other person down by not being as content as they appear. We all know that appearances can be deceiving, but denying what your heart knows to be true is even more devastating on so many levels. We need to learn to open our heart to possibilities even ...more

Mac and Freya finally get their own story. This is one that we have been waiting for, for those of us who have read Payback, Amy's previous release. This is another spin-off from the Harris Brothers series, so is once again set in London, and around the Bethnal Green Footy Club for which Mac is a player. He and Freya, and the friendship they have struck, has been to the intrigue of many of us, and also to the other characters in

5 star Review Blindsided by Amy Daws

Having met Maclay “Mac” Logan and Freya Cook in recent Harris Brothers books I could not wait to dive in to Blindsided, a friends to lovers story.

I was intrigued by Mac and Freya from the start. They both seem like such fun loving, caring and loyal people and ones I would happily call friends.

Mac ticked all the boxes for me, totally swoon worthy and his unconditional love for Freya melted me.

Freya has always been on the outside, never truly comfortable with

Blindsided by: Amy Daws

Perfectly imperfect has a name. Blindsided is the sweetest kind of heartache. Daws has a way with hearts. Emotion hides within the unpredictable. With a sense of humor that never quits, an emotional catalogue that knows no bounds and an irresistible duo that keeps more than the heart invested, Daws creates dynamite. Freya and Mac are a mismatch made in heaven. Neither belongs in the other's world, but they have a connection that proves hard to deny. It's hard not to leave

I think the impossible has happened. I think Maclay Logan just became my favorite Amy Daws hero. Sorry Gareth.
This is a spin-off of the Harris brothers series, but easily stands alone. Although, if you haven't read about the Harris clan, you should get on that NOW.

I LOVED this book! Mac is the giant Scottish footballer "best mate" of Freya Cook, plus-sized seamstress and general cat-lover. These two were adorable together--they fought like an old married couple, but would drop everything to be

So many feelings when reading Blindsided, the latest sports rom-com, by Amy Daws! It was amazing, unique, and so darn funny. I laughed, cried, and cheered. I got angry, emotional, turned on and basically smiled the entire time I was reading it. It’s amazing how the author is American and can so easily use European terms, knows European football, and can transform into a hunky Scottish 6–foot–something ginger midfielder who plays for Bethnal Green.

Blindsided=5 Stars!!

What can I say about Amy Daws writing that hasn’t already been said? I swear, she reached into my mind and found exactly what I wanted from a story and somehow found the perfect words to leave me laughing, crying, and clutching my chest in pain (but in a good way).
This book is no exception.
I’ve been a fan of Mac for a while, and my love for him grew with Freya’s. Mac is such a charming fellow, but he’s not an obnoxious man that flirts with anything with legs. I like that he

Blindsided by Amy Daws is a funny and sexy friends to lovers romance between a curvy seamstress and a huge Scottish football (soccer) player. This book takes place in the Harris Brothers world, but it can easily be read as a standalone.

Mac and Freya have been best buddies ever since Mac walked into Freya's shop for a fitting over a year ago. The two bonded over Netflix TV shows, among other things. Their friendship is honestly the heart of this

I have been trying to figure out what I want to say about Blindsided since I finished the book yesterday. To somehow find a way to convey yet again how much I love Amy Daws work and her words and the love and hard work I know she puts into creating these characters and worlds that I so easily can imagine myself in (and wish I could go to!) without just sounding like a broken record because if you've read any of my reviews of Daws books you already know all this. Usually I rush through books that I have been dying for. But with this first chapter I just knew I had to savor every bit. And I am glad I did!

Mac and Freya. We have been waiting for their story for a bit! When we saw them in past books I just knew the platonic wouldn't work! I love how we saw that they had a solid friendship, and yet hadn't shared everything with each other. So they still had room to grow as a couple. I love how we got to see how their brains switch from friends to being

I love friends to lovers romance. Blindsided is my all time favorite. These relationships are so different than others. Both see each other as they are. Freya only saw her curves and thought that no guy would want her because of them. She was in a circle of friends who were in her eyes had perfect body types. Something she felt she lacked. But from the day she met Mac he saw her for the beautiful person she was. He was not turned off by her curves. In fact he was attracted to them if truth be ...more

Amy Daws can never disappoint me. I love all of her Harris Brothers Series books and Blindsided is no exception. The writing was really good, as always. The Cover is hot and wants you to read it. It is a complete standalone but I recommend you read the books before because all previous characters with their happy ending are mentioned throughout the book, it doesn’t lessen the reader enjoyment though.

To be blindsided by the love of a Scottish hunk is a marvellous thing

What to say about this book, what to say. Aside from, I love it, of course.
It features the stoic, happy-go-lucky, uncomplicated guy that is Mac Logan, soccer player in his late prime. His heroine is Freya, a voluptuous, curvy girl who has sass, smarts and serious seamstressing skill. Unlikely, but best friends for a while, the tone of their relationship suddenly changes over one fateful game of Never Have I Ever.

Never Have I Ever Fallen So Fast!

Blindsided by Amy Daws had me under its spell from the first page. The relationship between Freya and Mac is a thing of beauty! Their banter and camaraderie are effortlessly fun. The interactions made me smile from ear to ear. They are without a doubt best mates and most definitely soulmates!

Ms. Daws did a fantastic job of shifting Freya and Mac's relationship from platonic to physical, without discounting their deep love for one another. Their journey was funny,

Blindsided by Amy Daws is set in the same world like the Harris Brothers books.
This is Freya and Mac's story.
Freya works with Allie Harris. She loves couture and loves her job.
Mac Logan is a pro soccer player and a good guy. He's the perfect fit for Freya, loving, caring and with the patience of a saint.
Blindsided is kind of a slow-ish burn, thata's fitting to the beautiful story. There isn't too much drama and I enjoyed that too, just like the great writing and the wonderful characters.
I loved Blindsided. This best friends to lovers rom/com had me in stitches right from the word go. They’re “best mates” and of cause they bicker and argue as all “best mates” do.

But they’re the odd couple at best, Freya is a quirky seamstress with a problem with dating, she’s too shy around men to get one. And Mac, well, he’s a star football/soccer player who’s a hot and swoon worthy stud. And what do best friends do? They help each other out, that’s what they do.

An hilarious joy ride of a

4.5 Blindsided Stars! After Payback I wanted Mac and Freya’s story and I FLOVED it! I loved their bickering banter and slow burn yet sizzling hot chemistry. The quirkiness that Freya is matches the swoon worthy, sexy footballer that is Mac. I will put a warning label on this story. CAUTION when reading in public and while drinking/eating. Spontaneous laughter will happen and to the point of snorting and falling out of your chair. I highly recommend this must read!

I absolutely loved this book!! I had all the feels when reading it. I laughed so much while reading but also got a bit of the tears when the time for those came. I think every relationship should be Mac and Freya’s!! I also loved how Freya was so relatable too. Especially when it comes to her insecurities. I have only read the first Harris brother book and did not feel lost at all reading this book! I will definitely be going back and reading the rest!!!

Blindsided is Amy Daws' newest sexy footballer romance. It's a spinoff of the Harris Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone. I’m a huge fan of Amy's and her writing! Blindsided is a best mates to lovers story with the sexy as sin loud-mouthed ginger footballer, Maclay Logan and the plus-sized, cat loving seamstress, Freya, who he loves to bicker with. How can a Cornish seamstress and a premier league footballer be friends let alone anything more you wonder?, well it’s not that far fetched when you add in these two amazing characters!

Amy Daws writes down to earth, relatable characters from every walk of life but these two have now propelled themselves to the top of my list of favourite couples! There sassy and downright hilarious at times that made this not just an enjoyable read but a story I wanted to never end!
