I the FMC, it’s not often I read a female antihero & the authors haven’t disappointed me. I also enjoyed reading the victims POV. It gave them enough depth to feel like individuals without bogging the reader down with Minutia. It had the most excruciating cliffhanger I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading. That said, it did it’s job I’m desperate for book two. I will continue this series.

Violet eyes. Blond hair or dark hair. Killer curves. A beauty with a smirk, some sass, an air of mystery, and of sadness. She warns them from the very beginning; don't get involved with her, don't fall for her. But it's inevitable. They do. That's when she destroys them. But with some, she destroys a piece of herself too. The football star. The politician. The surgeon. The artist. Holland stole from them but they each stole a piece of her heart, her soul. Now they have found her. Now they are ...more

So uh, what the heck am I supposed to do now?! You would think that as a woman who has likely read over a thousand books in the past decade, I would learn to read a title better. Like, when it says ‘book one’ that should probably be a clear indication that the story might end on some sort of epic cliffy that will leave me jonesing and insane with the need to know what is going to happen next. You’d think that, but you’d be wrong. Because here I am, baffled and irritated that I didn’t realize ...more

Ooohhhhh my GOD!!!!!! That was.... INCREDIBLE!!!! I love a good con (and God knows my Hubster is borderline obsessed with cons and the psychology behind them), but this one basically wrecked me! I fell in love with every single one of those guys, just to get my heart ripped out along with theirs and Holly's. But that ending!!! I NEEEEEEEED the next book asap please!?

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Talk about a different type of book. This one was totally new for me which is always quite fun. The FMC is very skilled at going undercover for quite some time until she has the chance to acquire what she was sent for no matter how long it actually takes. Along the way she met three very different men who managed to make their way into her heart making it hard to leave when it was time. Imagine her

This book has received A LOT of hype. I tend to stay away from books like that for a while b/c I don't want to be let down when I don't feel it has lived up to it. So to say I was a bit skeptical going in might be an understatement. Don't get me wrong, I think both of these authors are amazing at what they do!! That didn't stop me from being skeptical though. So I started this book and at first I was like, Eh, I'm not sure. I don't think it's going to live up to it. Well slap my momma and call ...more

The first in a trilogy, this book takes us into the past with each of these 'stupid' boys as they confront Holland James, the woman who destroyed them in more ways than one.

First is the Quarterback, Steven Wolf. With an injured knee, surgery and now the grueling physical therapy Steven is fighting to get back into the game. Little does he know he's a target for his therapist.

Second is the Politian, Graham Kempner. He is working to follow in his father's footsteps to the Senate. His father is a

I received an eARC from the authors and am voluntarily leaving a fair and honest review.

Holland is grifter, working for HIM, she is sent to take from four amazing men – The Athlete, The Politician, The Surgeon and the Artist. Her job is simple, make them fall in love with her so she can get the objects of HIS desire and to do it without falling in love. And to hope that they never find her when she is done.

She's plays her part well, until the door to her closed off heart begins to open.

Each victim, each mark leaves a stain on her soul and now, now it's starting to affect her ability to forget.

What can she do when they refuse to remain in her past, when they stand before her demanding answers..?

What an unusual and interesting read! I dont think I've read anything even remotely like this before.

I enjoyed the snippets into her story with each of the four men, but a part of me couldnt help but wonder

This book was so different from everything I have read in the past but in the best of ways. When I first started the book, I wasn't sure if I liked the constant jump from the present to the past but as I continued reading it, it was obvious that it was the best way to tell this delightful story. Holly is such a complex and compelling character. She tells you from the beginning of the book not to like her, but just like each of the guys, it was impossible not to fall in love with her. Each of the ...more

This book was a departure for me from the paranormal romance I normally read from Rebecca Royce, but I must say I really enjoyed it. The stories around each of the four men were completely different, yet all had a thread of commonality. Every character in this book is so uniquely human and flawed in their own ways. The men are all looking for something or someone to make them feel whole (whether they know it or not), and Holly makes it her business to fill that need. Problem is she’s also ...more

Stupid Boys was such a great, and different, RH story. Getting to know Holland and her story with each of the guys was great. The premise reminded me of the television show Imposters, though that show focused more on the relationships developed by the “marks” in pursuit of the woman that conned them (and, alas, it was not a reverse harem). C.R. Jane and Rebecca Royce handled this story beautifully, from the character development to switching between timelines. Every character was

This book is just one secret after another. Layers and layers revealed before you get a glimpse of Holland. You might think you know who and what she is...a con. However that's NOT the entire story. Be warned, there is a HUGE cliffhanger at the end. This is a story in part, about what happens when your past comes back to bite you. Holland is a fierce woman with a huge heart. Desperately trying to keep her head above water, stay alive, and keep what's left of her heart from shattering. Coming ...more

This is a combo effort with one I know and one will be the first time in reading. I quickly entered in to see what world they have given me to disappear into. Right away I know I like this girl regardless she says you will not. Holland is not like any woman you will have read that is for sure. This is original which makes for it to be that more intriguing as you get into it deeper. The four she is to go after will no longer be their own. Find out why she does what she does with as you get into ...more

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
This is only book, so be aware that ends in a cliffhanger.
Holland only job is to complete "the Job" without exposing herself.
It was supposed to be only a job, but some of her marks were more than a job.
She could never let them get too close.
It will only hurt too much when it was over.
What will she do, when some of the marks wants to turn the table on her ?
Loved the characters + the

This is a really interesting reading experience. You go back and forward in time meeting these men that she manipulated. They chose to track her down to get answers and it brings danger for them all.

She is a complicated character. She does some really harmful things but doesn't want to live this kind of life. She is a victim too. Her genuine feelings for these men are dangerous in her world. I found it easy to see why she was so attracted to these very different men.

The ending leaves you eager

*I received an ARC of this novella from the author in exchange for honest review*
The authors were not kidding when they said that we would not like these characters. Without revealing too much, while they do have clear motivations for their questionable actions- their actions remain questionable.
The main character, Holly, is a strong-willed female character, which is exactly the type of character that I usually love- but she is

Four men and one woman. She has done some wrong to each of these men but this time isn't like the others. Holly knows she shouldn't get attached to any of the men she is sent to but these four men are different and they are ready to prove it. Holly's storyline is an intriguing one. As much as you want to hate Holly you cannot help but feel for her. I was pulled into each man's story and am eager for more. This is a unique plotline that keeps the reader engaged and thinking. I think I'm still trying to process this book. This book was so intense and page turning. I don't know how Holland was able to do the things she had to do or was made to do. Fear is one good answer. I guess you would have to try to not let yourself feel any emotion especially not love. But she did and each time she left a piece of herself with these particular stupid boys. She tells herself she didn't love them but I think she did. Each left a lasting impression on her as she did in return. Each ...more

This book is fantastic!! C.R. Jane and Rebecca Royce have a certified winner!! Holland leaves you yo-yo-ing between wanting to despise her and wanting her to redeem herself with the guys. Each guy’s story is heartbreaking, and it is clear that Holland chips away pieces of her heart with each con. Facilitating between the past and the present, each character is beautifully scripted and detailed. There is no doubt the end will leave you reeling and waiting eagerly for Dumb Girl!!

You know the main character said that she was the one who broke hearts and I agree she totally did, but I don't believe for one second that her heart stay perfectly intact. This girl is remarkable really. I mean she is manipulative as hell but she does what she feels she has to do to get by. You have to give her props for that. I loved that this book had a point of view for each character. It helped in building each individual story. Now go preorder it fast! This is one you're going to want!

Essentially 4 gripping stories

They did a great job of investing you in 4 different relationships in such a short time. Holland/Holly is the bad girl but not because she wants to be. She is forced into. She thought she had her walls built up but each guy broke her a little more each time though I think Graham did the most. Can't wait to hear more about how these guys connected together and what comes next.

Unbelievably Awesome!!!!!!!!

Stupid Boys is literally one of the best books of the year!!!! Holly is such an interesting character! Even though she is supposed to be playing a part she can’t stop the real her from leaking through with each of the guys. All of the men have their own amazing personality, I can understand why Holly has trouble forgetting them! I don’t want to give anything away but if you don’t read this book you are truly losing out on a unique story!!!!! I’m dying for the next

I'm...I'm speechless, SB is just wow. It took me awhile to get into SB but, boy, when I did, I needed to read what happened to Holly, Steven, Graham, Charlie & Jamie. It took some getting used to all the whole back & forth shindig because we are used to reading or watching going forward, after that it's hard to put down. There were lots of questions that needs to be answered & with that ending I was like WTF, gimme book 2!

Hard to read but worth it

I actually had to take a break while reading this book because it was hard to read and as the forward said you might not like the protagonist, but the brilliant way in which it was written and the differences in the men would make you addicted to it. I hated how while I thought I had another 50+ pages left, I was actually at the end of it though. Will definitely be reading the next one to see what happens

Read it!

Whew, what a story! I wasn't sure I would like a book that pretty much told me I wasn't going to like the main character up front. I am so glad I gave it a try!

Holland deceives four men as part of scams for money. This book tells the story of those scams, with peeks into the current state of their relationships.

Can't wait to see where this goes in book 2!

Stupid boys? Or no???

I love when 2 of my favorite authors collaborate and you get this delightful mix of both styles of writting. If you are a C.R.Jane fan and a R.R. . You will not be disappointed. The story is played out so well. It is a bit different than their norm. BUT it does not disappoint! And best of all we dont have to wait long for the next one.
