Career Success Without a Real Job (ISBN-10: 0969419473, ISBN-13: 978-0969419471) published by VIP BOOKS and Ernie Zelinski , author of the bestseller How to Retire Happy, Wild, and Free , is an unconventional career guide that provides guidance for all those "organizationally averse" individuals who want to gain courage to escape the corporate world so that they don't have to spend the rest of their lives trapped working in a cubicle. This revolutionary career book challenges and inspires people to create their own dream job or operate an unconventional business with which they can make a great living. Positive, lively, and captivating, this career guide is designed to help ambitious and creative people live an extraordinary lifestyle that is the envy of the corporate world!

"Ordinary career success is a real good job — real career success is a real good life!" according to Ernie Zelinski. The author, a corporate escape artist for over 20 years, shows individuals how to avoid the common mistakes that keep the majority in society confined to cubicles and chained to corporations for their entire lives.

If you like corporate life and want to work for psychopathic organizations, don't bother with this book. But if you despise corporations, as I do, trust me, Career Success Without a Real Job this book will get you going in another direction that will change your life forever in a positive way.

This was an inspiring read, even if I already have an unconventional job of being an author and working from home. This book is mainly to explain why you should use your talents, find your purpose, and work at a job you can enjoy and be your own boss. Does it take lots of work and perseverance? Yes. But you have more freedom and can come and go as you please, instead of working from 9-5 for someone else with little reward.

Highly recommended, especially if you don't know what to do with your life, or you are looking for more meaningful work, or you are close to retirement and want to find something part-time and more fun.

Lightweight, chipper, and sorta fun, Zelinkski somehow manages to infect you with his relentless can-do attitude. The book is more life-coaching than pragmatic. He doesn't really suggest how to make a living other than to follow your passion, work less, live more, and believe in yourself. He gives a nod to Internet businesses, writing, and speaking, but doesn't really offer much in the way of nuts or bolts, let alone both. Still, it's a frisky little book. It's easy to read, uplifting, and an motivational device.

Like his other books, Ernie approached this subject with authenticity, honesty and humor. I like it particularly that he took consideration in physical, mental and spiritual aspects. It's fun to read especially with all the cartoons and quotes he included. It was a joy reading this book.

Buku menarik yang tidak biasa, membuka pikiran saya tentang makna bekerja dan mencintai pekerjaan. Bekerjalah untuk hidup dan bukan hidup untuk bekerja.

An easy read. Provides lots of motivation, inspiration and ideas of how to work outside the corporate world. This is not a "self help" or "how to" book. There are little quote bubbles spread throughout and many recommendations for books the author has read himself.
