How does an accidental-voyeur-turned-jealous-wife find her way back to a happy life?
Sally had always been the square. She was the first of her girlfriends to marry, and the last one any of them would have expected to have a sexual awakening. Least of all Sally.
How could she know that it would unearth a lifetime of buried fear and doubt?
It wasn’t her fault that she came across a hot couple getting it on in the library. Even if she did stay to watch, how could she help what followed? Exploring her naughty librarian side ignited a fantasy-fueled passion that burned hotter than ever before.
Shane wasn’t complaining one bit. Why would he? After a much-needed reboot, their love life just kept getting better. Until it didn’t. It takes Two to Tango, and Sally wasn’t the only one entertaining fantasies. But when Shane shares his, insecurities from her past come back to haunt them.
Some things you can’t unsee. And some can lead you astray…
Macy is a foul-mouthed tennis addict whose sweet side comes out with her two teenage sons. She loves to write about sassy women who like their men Alpha in the bedroom and Beta at the breakfast table. Strong, smart heroines inspire her as much as hard-bodied heroes with hearts of gold.
Her passion is writing erotic stories that appeal to smart women, and men. She loves to show that happily-ever-after can come in many forms and can keep getting better, through characters ballsy enough to push their own boundaries to cross the line from fantasy to reality. She hopes to inspire readers to think outside the confines of social norms.
This is one of those WOW books! I laughed and cried! At the very beginning of the book I thought is this going to another BDSM books but after the first chapter it was more than that! It's about finding yourself after 10 years of marriage and what away find out yourself! It was sexy, flirtatious and eye opening. First time reader of this amazing author!
Lots and lots of drama but not really anything erotic. The author is obviously a skilled writer but this book should never have been in hotwife genre. There is one threesome scene but it’s not till the last half of the third book. There is however lots of sex scenes between the husband and wife. So the three stars is because the story is not about hotwife or even erotica.
On the surface, Macy Butler’s Two to Tango looks like a hot depiction of a couple and their exploration of their sex lives. But deep down, it’s the story of a woman who never quite dealt with the trauma of her childhood. As her increasing sexual appetite also increases her stress, she comes close to losing the man in her life. Butler’s explicit sex scenes heat the pages, but her ability to unfold the psychology behind the scenes is what sets this story apart from others.
The second book in Happier Ever After series, Sally and Shane’s story. What I truly like about this series, is the fact that they are married.
It just gives off different vibes and it can be used as a great couples book. Love, sex, romance doesn’t die once you’re married.
Very steamy, sexy and heading towards some very uncharted waters in their relationship. I was quite surprise of the fantasy at the end, makes me look forward to the final book.
Not me just binging thru the series in a weekend. Sally and Shane continue to explore each other's fantasies and I have to say I find Shane's fantasy to be surprising. Having read Kate's book already (out of order) it's interesting to see her giving advice and being the rational one in this situation. On to book 3!
Okay, so it's my own book. I'm a new author so I wasn't sure if I should leave a review. In fact, i was pretty sure I shouldn't so I skipped it. Then it seemed like Goodreads calculated it as a zero-star review... Anyway, I would honestly give this book five stars if it weren't my own. It was so much fun to write! And hearing readers tell me that they laughed and cried whole also swooning over Shane (the most perfect husband ever), I was convinced I'd told the story I wanted to tell. I hope you all love it as much as I did!!!
What sets this story apart from other similar stories is how Butler gets into the nitty gritty of a marriage. It has ups and downs...but the key to a happy marriage is how you work through the tough times. Shane is a sexy professor married to a sexy librarian. Already, I'm in. I love how they explore their sexual relationship. The mirror and so many sex scenes were really hot because it was a deeply loving married couple. It's so rare to have stories like this about a happily married couple!
I really loved the close female friendships her friends and sister have, and the story successfully discusses how different relationships can be, and how some are perfectly happy without a long term relationship...and some aren't happy without one. Butler also examines how past baggage can pop up unannounced to try to mess with happiness. I loved how sad Sally was, but Shane and sister supported her. They didn't dismiss Sally 's concerns...they just helped her see how they weren't relevant in her marriage. Shane loves her no matter what, baggage and all.
I wish the book was longer, but it was absolutely entertaining nevertheless. It was written and edited well, and can't wait to read the next chapter in Sally and Shane 's marriage.
Sally saw the sexiest thing ever in her library, a couple having sex...and was stunned to find that she had voyeristic tendencies. She shared what she had seen with her husband, Shane, and couldn’t stop fantasizing. Her sister, Kate, was the only other person that knew what she had seen and mentioned a burlesque club that had couples’ nights and described various scenes that she had viewed. Sally mentioned this Shane and they went for an evening’s entertainment. Both went home with pent up desires to fulfill, only to have discussions from that evening that have Sally double thinking every word that was said and starting an argument when she somehow came to the irrational conclusion that her husband would be better off with someone else. Kate comes back into the picture and spends the evening with Sally helping her see that she was projecting her thoughts onto Shane and that the way they grew up likely was a big reason for the way that she was acting.
I loved how the author was able to put together scenes of their love and understanding of each other, showing how communication helped them through. I also liked how childhood events triggered the jealousy and feelings of unworthiness.
I was given an ARC to read of this book by Arc's Anonymous.
I'd never read this author before, so I was eager to read this book. I liked her writing style throughout. The start of the book was a slower pace than the rest, but by the time the second chapter showed up, we were deep into Sally and Shane's marriage. The author kept the pace throughout the story and I enjoyed it, even while wishing it were longer.
This was an interesting story about unexpected complications that arise from fantasies and needs. Without telling anyone too much of the story, I will say that Sally and Shane harbored some interesting fantasies. But harboring and sharing are two different things. And once shared, insecurities may make one or the other falter.
Recommended? Yes. And I will be reading Macy Butler again.
Second in the Dirty Vanilla series and follows the story of Sally the librarian who following her voyerism in the library late at night changed her bedroom habits from strictly vanilla to much more erotic, much to the enjoyment of her husband Shane. This book sees her going through some very serious insecurities and starts to let the fact that Shane is very into the new her become a problem in her head which when she lets her thoughts wander begins to cause problems in her marriage. Can she think passed this and not ruin a good thing she has with Shane? I can't wait for the next book in the series to see what will become of this formally charming and romantic couple. romantic
I really enjoyed this Sally and Shane are so good for each other and we get to see a whole different side in and out of the bedroom as they explore even father into their fantasies and take that leap into the forbidden and it is on fire until it's not and pasts come into light and struggles of who you really are and what and who to trust and test you beyond what you are prepared for. This was emotional and a very scary time for this couple and I did feel for them and Loved them. I thought it was a beautiful story and I'm glad Sally had her sister to tell her like it is.
After reading the first book I was excited to read the next book. But I found it slow going. Sally came across as shy and a little prudish in her thoughts towards her sex life, but once she opened up it became apparent that Shane was open to exploring more. As the story continued I became frustrated with Sally and her ever changing thoughts of wrong and right, as she let it affect her marriage. But as the story unfolds I understood the insecurities bearing down from her childhood. It will be interesting to see where this story goes next.
Oops I did it again. Jumped into book two without reading book one. Personally I love reading in order so this bugged me...that’s down to me not the author.
This is a well written bedtime read. Sally and Shane want to spice up their bedroom activities but get more than they bargained for.
Both are likeable characters. The storyline is great. If you like stories where couples share their sexual fantasies then give this a go. I’ll certainly be reading more from this author in the future.
I just loved this slow burn about a marriage that needed a little spicing up. This couple truly loves one another and it shows. Even when Sally is having self doubt Shane isn't anything but supportive in reminding her that she is the only one for him. At the end of the day the lean on one another and figure things out, which has them coming out stronger in the end.
Lots of ups and downs in this story. I laughed, cried, and screamed all in the same chapter. Sally and Shane have been married for years, but they decide to try to spice up their marriage. Even though they have not troubles in the bedroom excitement always adds to the delight. But will the spice they want be the ruin of them?
This book continues to follow the journey of Sally and Shane's sexy fantasies, along the way Sally's insecurities do create a problem in their marriage for a while, but overall its refreshing to read about an already established relationship and the ways they keep things exciting, would recommend you read this
The story continues about Shane and Sally and how a chance encounter opens a new world to this couples relationship. The emotions are unexpected as she questions the changes that have happened and the repercussions of those changes. The sex is still hot and I really enjoyed the authors insight of changes in relationships.
Sally never expected to find a kinkier side to herself. Shane is her hunky husband - once he learns of her new sexual awakenings, will he be able to accept this new version of his wife? I liked the premise, though this was a quick read, but I thought it could have heated up a little more. I would have liked to really see Sally's limits tested!
This is the second book telling us about Sally's new experiences with sex. The book was slow for me, it was hard to actually understand Sally. She is married for a decade and her sex life were dormant And now that she sparked them up, her husband has his own ideas and she is insecured. It's like she is living in the Stone Age and hard to adapt to modern life. I struggled with this book.
First time reading this author. I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was going to be about a couple having sex with a bunch of different people. Once I started reading I realize it is about a husband an wife relationship and how strong their love is!! Great book I recommend it!!
This is the first book I’ve read from the author. I skipped book 1. This book for me is about second chances for married couples, I really enjoyed how the author talks about marriage issues in real life after people have been married for a while. I enjoyed Sally and Shane’s adventures.
to say i was really disappointed reading this book! this was the second book in this series. two people married want to try some fantasies but at what cost? read to find out.
This was nothing that I thought it would be. It was so amazing. The exploration and soul searching and learning of ones self. It was so enlightening and the scenes were so freaking sexy.
I enjoyed reading this book it was easy to read j enjoyed the experiment that they took part in after a chance encounter that Sally experienced. It hits on real life couple issues. Well written
