When a dragon waiting forever finally finds his fated mate, he'll never let her go...
Janet Dixon never thought she'd fall in love. That's why she got used to quiet nights alone with her books, dreaming of fantasies that would never come true. But she never expected a ridiculously hot alpha by the name of Xander to suddenly show up into her life. And in spite of his playboy-good looks and charming personality, he seems to have his sights solely set on her.
After living his whole life on the run with his twin, Tristan, Xander got used to keeping people at arm's length at all times. Especially women. That is, until he meets Janet, who seems to be the only person that doesn't instantly fall for his good looks. But even if she thinks she can deny her own attraction to him, the stubborn red dragon will do anything to claim his mate.
As opposites ignite in scorchingly hot interactions, Janet soon realizes there's much more to Xander than the tattooed charmer wants to let on. He's deeply romantic, and strong, and...hiding secrets. Secrets that might end everything, if Xander and Janet can't find a way to overcome their pasts and fight for their future.
Dragon Meets Girl is book 2 in the Forgotten Dragons series! It features hilarious hijinks, frequent steamy scenes, some action and adventure, and a completely safe (no cheating, no straying, no looking at anyone else) happy ending!
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

Wonderful characters that interact with each other beautiful! Fabulous plot twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this series.
*WARNING* contains explicit sexual content Xander is one of the twin red dragons. Xander is happy for his brother because he found his mate, but he is ready to be with a mate of his own. Xander has found his mate, but she seems to want nothing to do with him, she pushes him away no matter what he does, Xander just can't figure why she hates him. Janet is the who takes care of everyone. Janet doesn't do relationships or boyfriends or love because men just leave heartbreak, her mother taught her that. Janet is independent, needs no one, and can take care of herself just fine. Great story. You can see the development of the characters as the story progresses. I am hoping this series continues, I'd like to know more about the scientist. Taylor interests me because of his circumstances, so I'd like his story. Dragon Meets Girl is a sweet story of to "people" overcoming their pasts to live their future.
Janet and Xander was a unexpected book. Was expecting different storyline after reading the first about his twin and her former roommate.I expected Janet to be like the first book described her. An work from home computer techie that did not go out much. Not someone that went to clubs or had “women” she worked with and took care of. Other inconsistency was her being so fierce. Not impression given in bk 1. Would have liked to know more of why she “took care” of her Mother and I assume the Sister that came to a surprise to me. Got an impression she was assaulted at a young age that is why she spent time in college learning self defense. Lastly Xander. Thought for sure he would be her tech match and the writer of the program mentioned in the 1st bk by Janet. Other thing, the Oracle misunderstanding, not believable. No way after twin misunderstanding that she would not have clearly taught them their proper history, rules, etc that there parents didn’t.
I knew from the first book this dragon would probably not tell his mate he is a virgin, and I was right. I wish they would. But he was good at what he did and made her book fantasies come true. I also like that the “pushing away” wasn’t over the top or last forever. She didn’t almost lose him and they got together fairly quickly compared to some other annoying books where one pushes the other away an obnoxious amount of times.
Plus we have the continuation of the dragon story without losing the couple’s love story. A good mix.
Virgin rating: Innocence of virgin hero: 3/5 Innocence in losing it: 1/5 Build up to losing it: 5/5 Hotness of losing it: 5/5 Busted touching himself: no POV of losing it: male
Another fun book by Terry Bolryder. I have loved TB since I read her earlier dragon series and this series reminds me why. A bit of humor, a bit of steam and a lot of fun is what awaits you in this book. While this is book 2 in the series, it is standalone though we do see the other couple from the first book. In addition, there is a tie-in to her other dragon series (Oracle!). Xander is in love with Janet, his mate. She is hesitant to accept him, having a bit of issue with men. (I’m not sure that this is adequately explained) but regardless, he is a dream. I love all of the interactions and the set up for the future of this series and other books in TB’s worlds.
This time it's an uber-repressed female (Janet) and a devil-may-care male (Xander). Their issues may arise from the past but when they decide to live in the moment... Ooh, the heat! Still haven't discovered what the deal is with the twins' parents, and now there's a mysterious "Big Bad" looming as a threat.I like the sizzle between the leads although some of their reactions are irritatingly juvenile; however, the continuing storyline mystery is truly holding my attention!
She was stubborn and didn't wanna believe he wasn't just looking for a one night stand. He was determined to have her not just for one night because she was his mate. A push and pull story about how to be open with the one you love and to truly trust them and your friends.
Second one and he is all out to get it! This dragon had Fallon for the girl and he won't be told no. What out for the plot in this one; all is going well till the bad guys take what is his. All he'll breaks loose! Hahaha read it yourselves this will sit up and day "White this was going so well".
Dragon Meets Girl (Forgotten Dragons Book 2) by Terry Bolryder. Zander met Janet at a club and realised at once she is his mate. She has serious issues with men and it takes a while to convince her that he is serious about her. Then he is kidnapped. Can anyone find him?
As always I enjoyed Terri’s books. I’m really enjoying this series it’s a little different than her other dragons and I’m happy about it. Always has a good storyline always has some heat and always has a happy ending. Enjoy escape into Terri’s worlds.
Another good read. Zander and Janet certainly ended up being a pair. Of course it took Janet a while to come around to being s couple but who can blame her----a dragon!
Xander believes Janet Dixon is his mate. Janet was Kelsie's roommate. Janet has a past full of mistrust of men, so the path for Xander and Janet to get together is rocky. Adding to the rockiness is Xander's working with the local dragons and the oracle. He doesn't fully trust them and a conversation he overhears sends him on the run. Another dragon, Taylor, helps to save the day.
This is a good addition to the Forgotten Dragons series. It features a mostly likable couple, and has a slightly different take on the dragons than Terry's other dragon series have. I liked that these dragons are a little different, and hope that we will find out more later about why that is.
Xander and Janet were mostly likable, but I did get a little annoyed with Janet assuming that Xander was bad, since she thought all men were. I get that it was because of her past, but it seemed like automatically assuming all men were bad was a little too extreme. I was glad when she finally realized she was wrong, and that she could trust Xander. Xander's backstory was sad. I was glad that he found Janet, and didn't have to be alone anymore.
I really liked that both Xander and Janet were sexually inexperienced. It bothers me that romances frequently have sexually inexperienced heroines, but the heroes are playboys. That is such a ridiculous double standard.
This one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars. I'm looking forward to reading Taylor's story next.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
The writing and storyline itself was good , a story that has all the 'feels' and some good laugh out loud moments , however, I only gave it 3 stars because the story was relatively short and ended at 90% , the rest was just fluffing , I felt cheated
DRAGON MEETS GIRL is the sizzling, enticing second story in the Forgotten Dragons series. I am loving these twins and their mates, and I truly hope that this turns into a longer series – or at least, the lead-in to a series where we get answers to questions introduced in Xander’s and Janet’s story. This Cover Description really gives you all you’d need to decide to pick up this story, this series. What it doesn’t say (and it says a lot) is the emotional roller-coaster ride you’ll be taking with this couple. While I’ll always recommend reading a series in order (when possible), I really believe you need to have read DRAGON NEXT DOOR to get the closeness of these twins and what they’ve gone through in life to understand why Xander often acts as he does.
Janet has her reasons for keeping Xander at arm’s length for so long. Reasons that can be overcome, yet she’s very reluctant to show any weakness to any man. Xander has a player’s attitude but not a player’s lifestyle. He’s a lonely dragon, never believing he’ll find his mate – even when he sees Tristan and Kelsie’s happiness together. His outgoing nature is a cover for the loneliness in his soul, but that changes when he meets Janet. Now his sole purpose is to protect his mate (whether she wants that protection or not) and to convince her that his feelings for her are very real, a lifelong commitment that she can trust in.
The steaminess level of the Forgotten Dragons series has notched up a few levels, and I’m loving it, These twins put the sexy in loving your mate to a new hot burn level.
There are people introduced in DRAGON MEETS GIRL that I’m now intensely curious about. A villain we haven’t seen before, a possible organization to watch out for, and a dragon, Taylor, who I hope gets his story told very soon for he deserves a happy ending as well. And that’s as far as I’m willing to go, to find out more you’ll need to discover this series on your own – which I highly recommend. I had a blast with these couples and if you love a really good Shifter Romance then you’ll want to jump on board real soon.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Both of them have come from bad backgrounds. Both have been lonely. Can they find a way to be less lonely together? Plus Xander gets his first assignment. Definitely worth the read!
Brilliant from start to finish. Couldn't put the book down till it ended. Loved the characters, sexy hot guy and steamy sex, beautiful smart woman , with twist and turns. With a happy ever after
This is the second book in the forgotten dragon series the series is about twin dragons Xander and Tristan The first book Dragon Next Door was Tristan's story and now ewe have Xander's story
These two twin dragons where raised top believe that the oracle and other dragons where evil and that because they where twins they would destroy them but now they are having to to rethink what they where told as they start to work with the double dragons. Xander has a reputation as a flirt and a bit of a playboy but what no one realises is that yes he may hang out at clubs and dance clubs but he is really only looking for human connection. He has fallen in love with his brothers mate's best friend but Janet but she won't give him the time of the day. Eventually he wears her down and he realises she is a dragonheart and his future mate but he is afraid to tell her his secret as he thinks she may run. Eventually his keeping secrets leads to him been captured and it will be up to new dragon on the block Taylor to not only rescue Xander but to also be the one to tell Janet about dragons as he needs her help to rescue her future mate. Xander is such a contradiction full of swagger and ego but also just a scared little boy inside Now waiting for Taylors story I hope that is next.
I enjoyed this book immensely, like I do almost all of Terry Bolryder's stories. This one moved very quickly. However, since they had already met in book 1, that's not a bad thing! There are some twists and turns in here to really keep the story moving along. The tone is more uncertain, since Janet is a very guarded woman. Zander has to work hard to get her to admit she is attracted, but then there are a lot of steamy scenes. I liked the addition of Taylor to keep this storyline going. I can't wait to see what is in store for him! The storyline is more character oriented with some action throughout and the characters are vivid and well developed.
You need to read at least this series in order. But to get the whole picture, you really should read the following before this: I would start with Double Dragons box set, and then Tiger Protectors box set, as those are a big part of this series. Then read Awakened Dragons box set, Rent-a-Dragon box set, Date-a-Dragon box set, Awakened Sea Dragons box set, Dragon Guards of Drakkaris box set, Nightmare Dragons, and finally Frozen Dragons before this. If strong, sexy alpha shifter protectors are your cup of tea, along with strong females, then get ready to enjoy!
