I have a secret.I don’t hate Jet Stockton. Everyone thinks that I do, and it’s better that it stay that way. Because if they ever found out that truth, they’d find out another one. One no one can know. I might be kind of falling for Jet. But that can’t happen. Because he hates me. He thinks I’m a stuck up, spoiled, lazy rich girl who has had everything handed to her. I represent everything he hates. So I’ll keep hating Jet right back. Who cares that he saved me when my boyfriend dumped me in front of the world. Who cares that the way he saved me was by kissing me. The hottest kiss of my whole life. Who cares that I now have to pretend to be his girlfriend. For him, it’s all an act. So it has to be the same for me.Even if I’m secretly falling for Jet Stockton.
So I am not sure if there will be a lot of spoilers in this review, but if so, beware...
Okay, so I was waiting to read this book. And not once was disappointed. I figured when I was reading Marley and Nash's story that London and Jet had a thing for each other. For how much they bicker towards each other.
I also want a book with her sister Dakota. Since Alana, have her book. I am going to start real soon. Besides that, I am going to continue to tell my thoughts on this book. Though, this one will be short.
So anyways, Collin thought he was going to hurt London in reality, he didn't. What he got was dissed towards the end when they were at Jet's national championship basketball game. He tried asking London on a date... he wasn't a real man and didn't even care about London the way that Jet cared for her. She finally saw that he had a feeling for her after they are broken up during prom, & vise versa... I was glad; at the end that they figured things out and started dating foreal instead of fake dating. Plus, London finally told her mother what she wanted, which was a good thing for her.
There’s not much to say about it, I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either. It was okay- fine. There were definitely parts of the book where I was more interested in reading than others. There were parts of the book where I was reading it just because I felt I had to. ——-
Personally, I felt as if London and Jet didn’t have much chemistry. They felt more like friends- there was nothing that stood out about their relationship when it came to chemistry. Do you know the feeling where it’s like “these two characters MUST be together” “these two belong with each other”, yeah I didn’t feel it with this. There wasn’t any flirting- to my knowledge- and just nothing that made them special. ——
It took me a bit longer than usual to read through this book even though it was a short read. With books this long, I tend to read it all in one-sitting, no matter if I like the book or not. For me, this book had me stopped multiple times- not out of embarrassment (if the character did something embarrassing) but more so out of boredom. It wasn’t interesting- in my opinion. ——
I did like each of their characters separately. They weren’t shabby or anything irritating about the characters. And while their relationship wasn’t anything special, they were cute. :) ——
I would’ve loved to see more “hate-to-love” and “enemies-to-lovers”- because I felt that this book and the characters didn’t exactly show that. I’m not sure if this book is highlighted under enemies to lovers/hate-to-love because it wasn’t exactly that.
I liked this book just has much has the first one. However this book felt like it took a long time to get the relationship going. Other than that the book was really good and sweet!! I love this series!!!!
It was a cute and easy read. Not anything particularly amazing about this though. However, I did enjoy how we got both of the main character's pov throughout the book, so we got to know how both people were feeling despite what the other person thought the other was feeling.
The Revenge Kiss. Title intrigued me so I kept digging and liked the premise. Before buying it tho, I read the little preview we get and although it had a couple mistakes, I still made the mistake of buying it to continue. The second I started reading the second chapter, I wanted to DNF it so much (I did at some point).
My problems with it:
This book was not well written or edited. I’m guessing it was self published.
The characters and the story itself weren’t well fleshed out.
It was STUPIDLY PREDICTABLE without forgetting it was cringe worthy.
I received this book just before I finished reading Book One in this series. As much as I enjoyed the first one, I thought book two offered even more in the way of conflict and action, two things I’ve come to expect from this author. I could see these books as a television series. At times, I felt London and Jet were too perfect, but otherwise, the story is a great read.
I only give 5 stars for books I will read more than once, but I did like this book. This book was cute and clean and fun. It had some good elements that make you want to know what will happen next.
