I always find myself reading second chance stories though I just don't like the trope. I'm not sure why. This story is actually a pretty good reason to return to the trope despite my aversion to it though. Cory and Trey have a lot of history and it's just too hard to forget it and move on. While they give avoidance a good solid try, they just can't fight the pull of mates. This has quite a few parallels to the Cats and Dogs series that I'm pretty much in love with, so there's a win right there. ...more

I think I have found a new shifter author. I'm super picky when it comes to shifter stories (I read a lot, but I don't love a lot) simply because they tend to be predictably formulaic, full of contrived angst and drama, and rush through the character and story development. This book is none of those things.

I really dislike miscommunication as a plot point because it usually drags on forever and becomes repetitive. The sad past and miscommunication in this are both handled really well. The main

In Wulf’s Clothing is the first book in the Banished series by author B.A. Tortuga. This is a really thought out read. Has a lot of character development and I got a great sense of the world that Trey and Cory live in.
Trey or Wulf as he is now called was banished from his pack at a young age. Cory has always known Trey was his mate. But he was too young to stop the Alpha from banishing Trey. He tried but he could not fight someone so mean and vicious.
Wulf has made a good life for himself. He has

This was quite a surprising story. Starting from the unexpected change of character of the two MC between their teenage years and when they meet again when Trey returns home for the wedding of his brother. Initially I thought that Trey was the alpha, and his strong will has kept him afloat and successful in the outside world. He even started a new pack with Omegas who endured similar experiences as he had. Cory is the law abiding alpha sheriff who never forgot his teenage love, and this story is ...more

This is a story of heartache, loss, redemption and ultimately new beginnings. Trey is banished from his pack for being different and wanting to explore the outside world. Cory, his bff and FWB, is witness to the violent banishment but is not strong enough to do anything about it. Despite that, he is filled with guilt as he moves forward with his life as well as longing for the mate he thinks must be dead. Imagine his surprise when Trey, now known as “Wulf”, comes back to town as a clothing ...more

I really enjoyed this sweet, sexy fated mates, second chance love story. Trey was an adventurous young wolf and went beyond his pack's permitted boundaries. When he is caught and banished by the cruel alpha, his lover Cory tries to protect him, but declines to leave with him. When Trey (now known as Wulf) returns for his brother's wedding, he and Cory get a second chance. Wulf's brother is now the Alpha, but the old alpha lurks in the shadows waiting to cause trouble, and he isn't happy that ...more

In true B.A. Tortuga fashion, these two men were sweet and adorable and terrible at communicating with one another.
The premise of the story was horrible. Trey (aka Wulf) was kicked out of the pack and Cory just let it happen. Trey pulled himself up by the bootstraps and made a name for himself whereas Cory did the best he could with the guilt he felt.
Their reunion was filled with anger on Trey’s part and Cory was thrilled to have his mate back with him. They learn to navigate each other’s

This is an excellent start to a new series and I really enjoyed it. I love the world that the author has created, the characters are amazing, the storyline is fun and quirky, the family dynamics are intriguing and I was fully engaged from the very first page. Trey/Wulf and Cory have a rocky history but neither of them ever forgot the other and now they have a second chance but with all of the chaos around them it is difficult for them to find the time to get to know each other again. Cory is ...more

Book one of B.A.’s new series is full of pack drama, past hurts, rekindling of love among two mates, finding new mates, deaths, a wedding and the growth of a pack. Book one is the story of Trey and Cory who loved each others as teens only to have Trey banished from their pack. You get see the prodigal son return help his big brother (the new pack alpha of the pack he was banished from) prepare for his wedding. Trey was kicked out of his pack for causing trouble. His mate Cory just stood by and watched him leave, breaking more than just Treys heart. Years later Trey returns for his brothers wedding, as the designer for the service. As the well known Wulf, his dresses are divine, and so is he. Determined to go in, do fittings and then leave, he didn’t count on the mate bond kicking in again. Love, family, danger and a man who won’t let him escape again totally messed up his plans. Which might just not ...more

Trey (Wulf) and Corey were young, fated mates.
Trey was singled out by their alpha and forced to fight and then banished.
He begs Corey to fight for him and then leave with him.
Corey is terrified, frozen by the fear of them being alone in the world and that they might die being separated from the pack.
When Wulf comes back as a world renowned designer hired to create his brother's (the alpha) fiancés gown,
Corey is now the sherrif.
Wulf was completely broken by their past harbors anger and

Creative second chance with shifter mates andintrigue. I found this a moving story where mates were separatedwhen they were teenagers by a bully. They both are now men and so much stronger. The story-line was engaging and i liked both MC's. I really was amazed by Trey who has the courage and heart to survive and create his own pack. He is truly a hero.

Trey and Cory readilyforgave and accepted themselves as mates and claimed their second chance. They were so connected and their history comes full

Without recounting the blurb, when Cory and Trey(Wulf) see each other after years, there's a lot of resentment and hurt feelings. Justified, all of them. But they hung on to the bitterness only for a few days, before they were all over each other.

To tell the truth, maybe I would of expected and hoped that they talked things out before jumping into bed. I get that they were worried for their lives and all that, but I don't think only an "I missed you" should have cut it. Not after years of

Trey was banished from his pack when he was a youngling by his father George because of some disturbance. his teenage love and mate stays behind in the pack. Trey gets his education in clothdesigning. He is hired by Lourel Stephen's bride to be, to do her weddingdress. Trey is back in the pack again as a designer, and now things starts to happen. There are some changes in the pack as well and his sweetheart still has feelings for him. Trey is insecure, and he gets help from his new packmate ...more

After losing his mate when he was younger, from a conflict between the Alpha and Trey, and ending with Trey's banishment from the pack, Cory has felt like he's only living half a life. So when Trey comes back to design the wedding parties attire for his brother the new Alpha sparks fly between Cory and Trey as their mate bond kicks back in drawing them back together again. Hopefully they can figure out their future and find the happy ever after they both deserve. Really enjoy the books, so well ...more

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. I hope it’s the start of a series, there are quite a few potential MC’s in this first one.
I liked that despite their awful separation in their teens, both men/wolves had matured into good people. Not being an Alpha has not stopped Trey from forming a pack and although Corey has always lived in a pack has never really felt at home. Together they are perfect.
Mix in an evil former Alpha, family shenanigans, lots of silk and lace and a huge wedding, you

BA Tortuga delivered us another great book. It is the story of Trey and Cory, and is all about broken hearts that received a second chance to get their forever. The plot is interesting and emotional, and I love the way the author includes all paranormal elements in a story about friends to lovers. Also the way Cory found his place in Trey's world after everything is... just perfect. A lovely strong couple that got a deserved HEA. I hope we didn't wait a lot for book 2!

This was such a sweet book that had all the feels that I love when reading. I love how Trey and Cory overcome their new issues, despite their hesitation to starting again. The author gave Cory and Trey such depth that you start feeling for them as well as getting sucked into their world. And the supporting characters were just as good, but they didn't outshine the main characters. This was just a really good read.

I read a complimentary advancecopyof thebook; this is my voluntary and honest

In Wulf's Clothing by BA Tortugais a m/m romance with shifter, but this is not an mpreg. This is also a second chance romance that is sweet and sexy. Trey and Cory are fantastic characters, separated as teens but never forgetting their love. They are mates with a bond and I love it. The story had fun, humor, drama, angst, and steam... and most of all love.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
I love B.A. Tortuga's writing. It is so fluid and changes depending on her characters and I love it.

The story of Wulf and Cory was amazing to read.

A rollercoaster of emotions and events, introduction to a new world and two packs.
I loved the back and forth between them, the people around them and the deep love between them.

This was a lovely story, full of sweet, hot moments. Left me with a smile.

Really loved it and I can't wait for the next books

I really liked this book. Loved all the characters, even if some of them were a bit over the top. Was glad that the story was fully played out and didn’t just end after the wedding. I really hope the author continues this series as I really want to know what happens with Miguel and River.

This story is pack full of emotions. In this second chance romance Trey/Wulf returns to the pack who kicked him out. He is there for his brothers wedding. He reconnects with Corey, his ex who didn't stand up for him. There is quite a bit of hurt , anger and guilt to overcome before these guys can get their HEA. I really enjoyed going on this journey with them.

This is the story of Trey and Cory. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved Trey and the way he took responsibility of his life after everything. The chemistry between them is amazing and off the charts. The danger and drama keeps you turning the pages. I can't wait for the next book.

I received this book as an Arc and I am reviewing it voluntarily.

This shift our story starts with a punishment and ends with a homecoming. With a whole lot of feels and emotions within the pages.

The characters are as always with this author sweet and utterly redeemable which makes this a low angst, sweet read . A series worth watching for, enjoyable way to spread some time.

This is a sweet and sexy second chance romance. Trey and Cory might have been separated but they never forgot they love each other. It is great to see how there relationship develops with this second chance at love. We have drama and angst but also humor and love that I just love in a story.
