Very impressive for a debut novel.

Edward Covington is enjoying his semi-retirement and trying to put his past behind him. He is just starting out on a new romance with Abby Rayner whose husband had tragically committed suicide 3 years before.

Suddenly out of the blue he receives a note from a previous colleague, Judith Mulholland, involving him once again in the intrigues of the Secret Service. Judith has reached out to him just before she dies asking him to try and stop the top-secret plan that

Easy read

Interesting story line, kept me guessing about who to trust. Not your average plot, and not like one I have read before.

Another fun story found on NetGalley.

I enjoyed my experience with Edward and Abby, I don't feel like I have gotten to know either of them very well, but they entertained me for our few hours together. This was a fast-paced thriller. There was quite a bit of intrigue and I was never sure who (if anyone) I should trust.

Being unfamiliar with British Intelligence and the general geography in this book, I may not have gotten as much out of this read as another reader. However, I did find myself
