This is a lengthy, in depth study of the book of Acts. The commentary and explanations are helpful in understanding the content and general themes presented in this book. It has been over 30 years since first studying Acts through BSF and it was a blessing to study it again with our church small group.

the strongest entry in that series, no doubt about that.
helpful, oftentimes even how he titles his chapters sends one away thinking. If on a tight budget, Stott is the one to get if you can have just one. but if that's not the case, it's most certainly good thing to have.

Acts by Dennis Johnson is designed for a group Bible study; however, I used it as a daily devotional and as a method to familiarize myself with Acts. I recommend Acts for use as a Bible study guide or as a devotional. I definitely found myself wanting to dig dipper into the narrative of the Book of Acts. For example, Johnson draws parallels between Paul's and Jesus's life. As an overview, I recommend Acts by Dr. Johnson.

I learn something new with every chapter. The author makes a lot of OT to NT connections. We are using this as a textbook for Sunday School and I highly recommend it.
