Today's lives are so different from generations ago. We are able to travel, work and experience so much away from where we were born and raised. It gives us the ability to see what we like and what we don't and these personal experiences guide us to where we end up living.

Now where we live also impacts who we meet and love. We can only interact with those around us...well, that was the way, but now with traveling at the drop of a hat and the internet dat

I have only read one other Katy Regnery book (I know, I know, you don't need to tell me), however when the opportunity came up to read Single In Sitka, I jumped at the chance.

What a lovely, warm and funny story about finding love again, long distance relationships and all they entail.

Luke and Amanda's journey is not always an easy one, however there is not silly misunderstanding, miscommunications or stupid fights getting in their way. They act like adults and sort things out like adults - s

Wow. All I can say is wow. I love everything that Katy writes. She has this way of pulling you into a story and captivating you to that very last page.

This story started out as fun and flirty with insta chemistry and lots of sensual moments but turned into so much more of a story. It was real with raw emotion and love. It’s the best kind of romance; the one that pulls true emotion from you, pulling on the heartstrings and making you feel. I’m a sucker for emotional stories.

Considering the amazing lineup of excellent books that Regnery has penned, Single In Sitka is one of my favorite series books of Katy's to date. This book contains it all; sizzling heat between a sexy, single dad and a work-driven journalist. Heart pounding, emotional moments ranging from tears to anxiety to deep swooning. Along with fabulous secondary characters that enrich the story. Single in Sitka is a book you don't want to miss in 2019!

Dating was the last thing on Luke's mind-yet his meddling sister, Bonnie, wanted to help Luke come out of his stupor so she gave him a little push in the direction that he never knew he needed 😉

Luke and Amanda's first interaction had me giggling because these two were alike yet different, if that makes sense. They both thought that they could do the "no strings attached" yet when the heart gets involved, everything goes out the window. Now Luke's kids not only were they cutie pies ye

It’s my second book by the author and I knew that I’ll be in for a big ride.
I love that the story is more contemporary and deals with second chance at love for two characters with a different past but are looking forward to make the most of their life and fulfil that empty space in their hearts that needs more attention than anything else.
I loved their banter, their intimate moments were great and the feelings and emotions were real and somehow, the author managed to touch my heart a

This book started out hilarious and quickly turned into a whole lot more. I instantly loved Amanda who was fun, sweet and full of life. She’s what really pulled me into the story. But Luke? He’s who hooked me deep.
He was more than just your average hot single dad hero. The man has real honest emotion and cared not only about his happiness but also Amanda and his children’s. These two have one of those immediate attractions that grows rapidly into much more than either of them could have predict

Holy Smokes, Amanda and Luke have amazing chemistry! They met via a personal ad, that Luke's meddling sister Bonnie placed. What started out as a friends with benefits relationship, both rebounding from previous relationships, and morphed into a wonderful love story.

❤ That Amanda did not have to give up her career for the guy
❤ Both Amanda and Luke both compromised to find their happily ever after
❤ PNW and Alaska is a perfect backdrop to this story!

Single In Sitka by Katy Regnery was the perfect modern day romance that most readers can relate to. A single father of three children and a single woman with a successful career whose biological clock is ticking. It’s the story of real life where car accidents change lives, settling for someone because it’s easy is the norm, being afraid to start over where the rules have changed in the dating world, and trying to fit in an already made family where parenting is a new concept are very real reali

When Amanda sees the ad in the Odds Are Good for a single dad in Sitka, she begins imagining a good looking, devoted dad and quickly finds herself attached to a work project that has her stationed in Sitka researching bears for a stretch of time. Since she’ll be there anyway, she figures it won’t hurt to answer the personal ad -- at least she can have some fun while in Alaska.

Luke isn’t sure how to start dating again, nor is he certain he is ready to take that step. His sister, however, is prep

Single In Sitka is a great start to a new series featuring hunky Alaskan men! This debut book in the series is about widower Luke and the big-city reporter who captures his heart.

Luke has no clue that his sister placed an ad in Odds Are Good magazine, which targets women in the lower states looking for an Alaskan mountain man. Luke's ad captures the eye of Seattle journalist Amanda, and before she knows it, some made-up story about bear attacks in Stika, Alaska, has Amanda headed up

I can't be the only woman around that has often thought about the men living out in the Alaskan tundra, am I? I refuse to believe I am. There has to be dozens of single women (or hundreds) that dream of those gruff and strong men are coming to scoop them off their feet! But the more I think of Alaska, the more I think of a colder, harsher Vermont (where I live). I might pass especially if i don't have running water or an inside toilet! I have been a fan of this author since her Summerhaven series. She has a most artful way of describing locations, while weaving an intriguing tale of romance into life. I was excited to try this new book, a first in a new series.

The plot starts out as part fling, part both needing to move on and start over. It moves into the very real ideas of compromise and family blending. I enjoyed all the aspects of this book, as they were both relatable and just the right touch of fanciful fiction.

It all starts with a personal ad...

Amanda McEndrick is newly single after a long term relationship went south. She has been distracted at work and needs a quick idea for an article. And she just happened to be scrolling through hot men of Alaska personal ads when a subject popped into her head. So now she is heading to Sitka, Alaska to do research and if she gets to meet the man from the ad then it is just a bonus.

This was a great read by Katy, all about finding love, long distance relationships, the realities of an 'already there' family...... hot, sexy, warm, emotional with a touch of drama, this one has it all!

Luke's wife died two years ago, since then his life has revolved around his 3 children and work, but he misses being part of a relationship. Living in Sitka, a small town in Alaska, he loves the outdoors, the wildlife, the low crime rate, the peace and quiet, but chances at a relation

OMG! This was SUCH a gorgeous story!

“I can’t deny the way I feel around her – like the whole world is more exciting, more colorful and fun.”

Luke Kingston has been a widower for two years and has three kids. He's gotten to the point that he will always miss his wife but he's also lonely and in need of companionship. Unbeknownst to him, his sister has placed a lonely hearts ad on his behalf. The attraction he feels when he meets Amanda is the most powerful he's ever experienced.

I adore Katy Regnery and her writing so I got cozy on the lounge with a cup of tea and dove into this story only to literally choke on my cup of tea when I burst into laughter 2 seconds later. At which point I tried to explain to hubby what garnered that reaction. (he still doesn't get it but oh well it made my day because that was hot and damn yes that escalated quickly)

So as you no doubt guessed this started with a bang and I felt a great connection to Amanda and the story. A
