A great collection of stories from independent artists and there is not a bad story in the bunch. Obviously the artistic style and tone shift from tale to tale - from the comical, to the tragic, to commentary on culture, to the ponderous. There are several full color sections included, by Kim Dietch and Jim Woodring, which were very welcome. All in all an excellent book.

More of a 3 1/2, but the color Deitch & Woodring pages are impressive enough to lift up the whole anthology.
