particularly useful in contrast with what many of the bolsheviks would come to be. from an ultra-radical, revolutionary position which was uncompromising, to a moderate, almost institutionalised and establishment political position. whether this was for better or for worse is up for debate. cannot recommend enough.

great book on the left communists in russia, history wise its great but some of the conclusions are a little iffy, but if you want to read about the debates and such great book
