Used this book for a graduate class. Good book (sometimes) for a beginner. At points if became very confusing and contradicted itself. I had to look a few things up for clarification to complete the tasks after some chapters. Other than that it was a great intro into web development. When reading make sure you have a computer nearby with Google open.

Overall I thought this was a poorly written textbook. The review exercises required the reader to jump around throughout the book, and took hours upon hours to finish. They were too in depth for a six week online course. With that said, however, if this textbook had been used over a semester in a traditional HTML course, then perhaps its intensity would have merit.
