This is a wonderful story about acceptance and what it means to both the one getting picked on and the one doing the picking on. The pictures were cute and fun. The message of this story is very good and for every age.

A very cute and inspirational story

This is such a cute story for kids with adorable illustrations and a very important message. Pete the pig gets picked on for his sensitive nose (which I can relate to with having sensory issues!) & cleanliness, which was very hurtful and frustrating for him, especially because he couldn't help it. Then one day there is trouble on the farm and Pinky tries to warn the other pigs, who shun him out in return. Pinky doesn't give up though, and he ends up saving the farm, all due to what he thought was his weakness. Very inspiring and motivating with a great lesson on kindness, listening to others and perseverance. Highly recommended.

Pete the Pig Gets Picked On is a great story about a pig who gets picked on and teased by the other animals for his unusual shaped nose.

This is a brilliant book with the focus being on showing children that it's okay to be different and I think this is something so important for children to learn. With the story being about Pete and his nose it made the children surprised that he was bullied as they thought he had the best nose! This was lovely to see as it shows the children that just because someone says or reacts in an unfavourable way, it doesn't mean their right.

Pete is a brilliant character as we get to see how the teasing effects him throughout the book and with such brilliant illustrations showing his emotions it made it easy for the children to see how being mean made him (or others) feel.

The illustrations are beautiful with scenes of light pastel coloured farm that kept the children's interest and it showed how all the animals felt very well. The children liked to see how the story ended (but I won't spoil it!) and enjoyed being read the story. This is a fantastic story to show how being mean effects others and that being different is good, a great story to make the children think!

This is a very nice story about a pig called Pete who was different from the rest of the pigs. He had a very sensitive heart-shaped nose. All pigs teased him because of this and Pete felt cast out. To make things worst, Pete found that the owner of their farm was having financial problems. He tried to tell the other pigs of the problems they were facing but nobody believed him. When the farmer started to lose things from the farm the pigs finally believed Pete but got angry at him. Lonely Pete went to the forest where he could find peace. While there Pete found truffles with the power of his sensitive nose. He took them to his owner and helped him make money and save the farm. After this, all pigs stopped teasing Pete and accepted him in the pig community. This book has a very nice narrative with a great message of inclusion and self-confidence. The illustrations work nicely with the story. They are made traditionally and very clear and appealing for kids. I think this is a very lovely book and I recommend it.
