If you thought the classes at Hogwarts sounded amazing, then the classes at Grimalkin will blow your mind. Grimalkin is one academy, I personal would have loved to attended.

Daphne Chambers has a mission to find out how herself and her brother can find the family spell to turn themselves into cats. But this is not a simple task. With cute vampires in the mix, a best friend who’s a bit of a dud at magic and so much more, this story will capture your attention.

Catching A Vampire by Laura Greenwood Is such a wonderful story that I loved reading. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series and I can not wait to read book number two. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about magic, fantasy and paranormal romance.

This is Daphne's story in the Grimalkin Academy series and let me say I really enjoyed getting to read her side of things. While we watch Daphne and her twin Ryan trying to find a old family spell that allows allows a Chambers member to turn into a cat, we see that while she tries to get close to a vampire so she can get into the Vampire Library she falls for the vampire and everything just goes haywire for her. I can not wait to see what is in store for the rest of this series.

This was a really great start to Daphne’s story in Grimalkin Academy! Daphne Chambers and her twin, Ryan, have recently started at Grimalkin Academy and are joined by friends from the past along with a new one, Mona. There’s supposedly an old family spell that allows a Chambers member to turn into a cat. Ryan convinces her to get close to a vampire so she can go to their library in the catacombs to find the spell. Along the way, she falls for her vampire, Heath, while two guys from her past seem ...more

The other side of the story

It was seriously great fun reading into Daphne’s story, which we got glimpses of during her escapades with Mona. Book one flows alongside of book one of the Grimalkin Academy: Kittens series, without any heavy spoilers on other side. I wasn’t too sure at first if it would work, as I much prefer to read multiple-character stories all in one book, but being as these are short stories,

It was good and interesting, but it ended on a severe cliffhanger and that disappointed me quite a bit. I want to know what happens, but I have issues with the ending here. As I see it, there are three types of series. There's the standalone series - one where each book features a different set of characters, often characters you meet in other books but all generally in the same general world. There's the on-going series, as I call it - one where you have to read the books in order and it's the ...more

The Chamber's family spell is supposed to be hidden in the halls of Grimalkin. The spell that will allow them to turn into cats. Daphne Chambers and her twin Ryan have no idea if this legend is fact or fiction but they intend to find out. Ryan wants to start out looking in the secret library hidden somewhere in the catacombs. He has deduced that the library is part of the network the vampires live and study in and he wants his sister to seduce a vampire to find out for sure. Luckily, Daphne ...more

Our heroine's brother wants to find a hidden spell that they can use to turn into cats. But he doesn't seem to want to do any of the work.

So this is book one of a new series at Grimalkin Academy, not to be confused with the other series at the academy where every time the character casts a spell, cats appear.

So what is with all the cats? Why doesn't the spell turn them into something useful, like owls or horses? But enough of that. This is a young adult paranormal series that also has a reverse

Daphne Chambers and her twin brother, Ryan, started attending Grimalkin Academy which gives them the opportunity of finding an old family spell that, according to legend, will allow a Chambers’ member to turn into a cat. Ryan figures that if she gets cozy with a vampire, she’ll be able to access their library and convinces her to give it a try. However, she doesn’t expect to actually fall for the ...more

Daphne Chambers is in her first year at the Academy with her twin brother Ryan so that they can learn to become a witch/warlock. Her brother has decided that they need to pursue the legend about their family so he has his sister get close to a paranormal so that he can get some information. The characters are entertaining and the story line looks pretty interesting too. This is a romantic comedy with a little suspense. Cliffhanger.

I absolutely love this academy story but then it’s a book from Laura Greenwood so do I need to say more?. I love Daphne’s character she has a twin Ryan who have both started at the Grimalkin Academy, Ryan is determined to find an old family spell and he will use his sister to get it by any means necessary. Daphne’s new best friend Mona is a dud at magic and things aren’t turning out the way Daphne likes them with her and Heath and when he finds out that she has been using him so it’s not going ...more

Daphne (FMC) is a witch at Grimalkin Academy. If youve read Grimalkin Academy Kittens series you'll have already met her, Mona (her friend and roommate) and Ryan her twin brother. Daphne gets her own set of books in this series. When Ryan gets involved in a hair-brained idea she meets Heath. A vampire who she needs to help her do that but things dont work out the way she thinks and she starts to like Heath. Which brings its own complications. Loved Daphne and Mona in the Kittens series and this ...more

How will Daphne handle three potential boyfriends? I loved Daphne’s character. She’s nice, pretty, funny, and smart. She loves learning and loves being at Grimalkin Academy. But there is a legend in her family about a spell and turning into cats. Her twin brother Ryan cons cons her into befriending a vampire to get into the vampire library. The problem? She likes Heath the vampire. Now she has a vampire boyfriend, and two friends from her past vying for her affections. What will she do? I was ...more

What a fun start to a new series that is about Daphne, her brother Ryan, and the friends she meets at Grimalkin Academy. It is a hysterical start to a story that mixes witches and vampires and teenage hormones. Plus there is a bit of mystery hinted at that has me guessing what might occur next. Daphne was a hoot as she tries to date her vampire. I especially cannot wait to see how she resolves the ending. Just means I need to read the next story in the series. This one made me laugh while ...more

Quick and fun read. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I think Daphne is getting the short end of the stick. Her brother is the driving force behind finding the family spell, but Daphne is taking all the risk. She needs to find a vampire to find the spell and meets Heath. I loved Heath, how easy he was to get to know and was so pleased Daphne changed her mind. Emma is the typical mean girl out to make life difficult and she sure does. This is gonna be one heck of a semester!

I find books about magic academies or schools fun. This school is a little different to some of the others I have read, but I like it. There is of course the complicated love interests, but there is a lot of information on various supernatural history items. There is also the bitchy girl who causes problems for Daphne, need the next book to see what happens.

I am loving all the interesting characters in the Grimalkin Academy. This is the first book of the Catacombs series and Daphne and Ryan's first year at the academy where they are learning how to be witches and warlocks. Fighting ancient spells, falling for a vampire and of course there is also a mean girl there's so much going on in book one and I can't wait to find out what happens for all of the characters in this fantastic new series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

It was really interesting. Daphne is a girl you definitely wanna for a friend. Determined, intelligent and brave. Which not mean she can’t land herself in some troubles. Specially boy kind of troubles. With Mona kittens’ trouble, lessons and homework, her brother and his ideas, strange teacher, old crush, brother’s best friend, mean girl and one very hot vampire, she for sure have no time to get bored. And I didn’t have time either while reading this.

Misunderstandings happen
So, this book is about Daphne and some of her love life stuff as well as bringing the other characters from Grimalkin Academy: Kittens into the book. Daphine has a rival, not only in academic stuff but in her choice of a boyfriend. Looking forward to reading about what happens next.
