For nineteen-year-old Elizabeth, magic was something that never existed until about a year ago. One dream had changed her life forever. A dream that revealed a world she was meant to live in but had been hidden from her since a toddler. Now her life is flooded with magic, family drama, and inner circle politics of how the Witch’s Council and her coven should run and who should run it she must look to the past to guide the future.
Elizabeth has been through it all with her recently found powers and the end of the struggle draws near, she hopes.
A strange man invades her dreams declaring himself an ally but is unable to reveal himself fully. He knows things about Elizabeth that she can’t explain and is determined to discover his identity and bring him out of the dreams into reality.
Then a set of triplets who were known to work alone and for dark forces now work hard to prove their loyalty to Elizabeth, her coven, and her family.
Will the newest allies be wolves in sheep’s clothing, or will they prove to be best unexpected allies she could have asked for?

Growing up in the South I learned to love my imagination.... creating from the very beginning. We are told to enjoy life and I allow my mind to do just that. In writing I am allowing the world to see what is possible through my eyes. I encourage my children and family to dream and dream big, never to give up and always believe!

An all around great book. It has the usual typos and missing and/or mixed around words, but those can be easily considered the much needed flaw in this amazing book series (because I can't find any others!!!). Yet again Cheryllyn Dyess does not disappoint in the thrills, sadness, joys, and unexpected appearances! I have chewed my nails to the nub with anticipation of what was happening...AS I WAS READING! Also the new revelations in this book about certain people, like Sari for instance, had me bouncing in my seat with excitement.
My only complaint, per the usual, is that the book was simply not long enough (but that's just me, I LOVE long books, as in the longer the better). The ending left me realing, and my mind running. I have so many theories about the next book and can't wait for it to come out!

Elizabeth, her coven, and the rest of the world have absolutely made my heart soar. Again! I absolutely love all the characters in the book. Including Celeste! I was recently quizzed about her name and blanked out. All I could do is remember that I wanted to cuddle the deer held in front of me. Anyways, I was not expecting many of the twists that came out of this book.

The characters are all loveable. I have to be honest. I get Sari and Sara mixed up sometimes. Especially if I’m reading too fast. Which, I’m prone to do sometimes. Either way, I feel like such a part of this world when I read this book. I’m not sure exactly where I’d be. I’d like to think I’d be a witch!

I fully recommend this book! I cannot wait to get the sixth book in my hands. This has quickly become one of my favorite series of all times. Hands down. No questions asked. The author has a way of dragging you into the story and hitting you in all your feels. She’s a terrific writer!

Interesting twist

There is a lot to love about this series, I do suggest reading the first 4 before picking up this one. While the story was good, I did note a bit of a rush and disjointed areas in this book. Time seems to jump forward at some important and intriguing areas which seems to miss some of the previous books depth. There were also several instances of malapropism though I knew what the author was getting at. I love the authors work, I just think another set of eyes may have helped here. Like I said, it's still a good story.
