Working Man #7

Car Trouble

Rate this book
When Terrence Jackson's new Mercedes begins to act up, his secretary suggests he take it to a local auto shop she usually frequents. But a phone call to the shop's owner doesn't exactly instill him with confidence. Still, the place comes highly recommended ...

What begins as a bad day improves when he meets the mechanic. Dressed in a pair of tight, oil-stained jeans and little else, Jimmy exudes sex appeal. Terrence finds himself drawn to Jimmy, and soon it's not just his car being serviced.

A short story that is little more than a hook up with potential. I had a couple of issues with the number of times their skin colour was mentioned (it seemed too be constantly) and some stereotypical moments. A pleasant enough read.

Another nice short story from the series.
It has all the right elements for me: age difference, class difference, hot steamy sex and happy and promising ending.
I really enjoyed this book!

Another short story in the Working Man series. Terrence is a more than forty years old Afro American business man that one day heard a strange sound in his new mercedes. Since his baby feels not well he immediately take her to a garage. Here he finds Jimmy, blond young guy with a penchant for older man...

Obviously the baby is forgotten for a little bit while the daddy plays with the hot mechanic.

Really there is nothing more other than Terrence is a pretty interesting man, very vain and selfconscious that maybe is lucky to find a man like Jimmy who likes to be direct. And I have also my glimpse to a possible happily ever after, so I'm satisfy.

Reviewed by Max: This short story is set around an encounter type scenario.

Terrence Jackson has car trouble, and when he heads to a local garage to have it looked at, he finds something worth looking at of his own in handsome mechanic, Jimmy. What follows is a quickie, and in the end both are left satisfied.

I would have like for the sex scene to be a little longer. All in all, a decent read.

Playing around with the mechanic :). I must say that the sex scene on the car is pretty hot. But somehow I don't really like Terrence, maybe because I think he's a bit arrogant? Still a nice little read from Working Man series.

Incomplete

Stereotypical...dribble at points...a story with potential, yet underscored by poorly developed characters and a very inadequate plot line. The black myth stereotype is excessive and quite frankly beyond tedious!
