Hell’s Wedding Bells

A brilliantly written Christmas novella, I really enjoyed reading this.

Vincent is a Duke newly minted, he’s fulfilling his duties to pay his brother debts , that means marrying wether he wants to or not.

Lila hates her father , he’s cruel, aggressive and violent.
If she can do anything to escape him , that’s her best option , then she can rescue her sister .
That means when she’s pushed into a hasty mar

Hell’s Wedding Bells by Annabelle Anders
A very entertaining read. Lady Lila was forced to marry Vincent Saint-Pierre, Duke of Pemberth, sight unseen. Lila cared for her sister and tried to protect her from their ruthless father. This was a story with a lot packed in it. I enjoyed the way Lila and Vincent gradually got to know each other, they shared some very passionate moments too. Vincent is very much a hands-on landlord and likes to work with them in the fields. Lila helps in ways that

The Mistletoe Mistress by Maddison Michaels

Rated 4.5 Stars

The Mistletoe Mistress was delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The heroine was feisty and ingenious. I simply adored her. While the hero was a grumpy rake with a level of sweetness to him. I loved him. It's novella but it was compact and dealt with quite a lot. This is my first book by this author and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of her work especially about the secondary characters. I definitely recommend

Three down, many more to go!

England, 1822, two weeks before Christmas

Miss Callisto Middleton, Callie, has decided to play matchmaker for her mother, but her carefully laid plans have unexpected results. This is such a charming romance as Callie finds love with Graham George Wynter, Viscount Sherbrooke. The relationship, while it initially happens quickly, is convincingly developed even within the confines of the novella. Stacy Reid uses t

After her father made and subsequently ended four betrothals for her, Elizabeth fears she is bound to be a lonely spinster and chafes at how trapped she feels at court. The king's adoptive brother, Edward, Lord Badenoch, has other ideas, if he can just convince Elizabeth of his sincerity.

MISTLETOE KISSES by Elise Marion.....*****

This was such a bittersweet story involving Maxwell who is a broken man, still suffering the affects of war and Josephine, an outcast in her own family. Maxwell doesn't believe he's good enough for anyone anymore and has nothing to offer but then he meets Josephine who sees the REAL him, beyond his injuries. He sees Josephine for the loving and caring woman she is, not bothered by the scandalous nature of her birth.

The author touches on the

The Winter Bride, A Rogues & Gentlemen Novella
by Emma V. Leech

In keeping with what we've come to expect from a wonderful writer such as Emma V. Leech, A Winter Bride does not disappoint!

Widower Edward Hardy (Ned) may not be a member of the ton - but he is as much a gentleman, if not more, than any of them!

Living in a lonely world surrounded by hard work, Ned has appeared to resign himself to his fate, when our damsel in distress, Miss Grace Honeyfield literally falls in h

Got to read Laura Trentham’s selection A Wicked Wedding and adored it. Strong headed women who buck society and the men who love them are a pleasure to be around. Adding in an air of mystery, some holiday spirit, and the historical flair is also lovely. Enjoy!

As I write this, I am 48% finished with this book. I don't usually review/recommend books I haven't finished (yet), but if you want to finish this holiday book before the holidays end, you'd better get started reading now. Once Upon a Christmas Wedding is more than 3,000+ pages long.

If the stories weren't so good, I probably would have stopped reading, but all the stories thus far have been excellent--5 stars, A+. I'm hooked, and for a reader who prefers books in the 150-200 page range, that sa

WOW!!! An amazing story of second chances. A young couple separated by class dared to love one another. They planned to meet and officially declare their love to her father, but fate was not with them. As cruel as it was she made a deal with her father and now had to keep her word and marry a decrepit much older viscount. Six years later Domnall Greyford and Karta Williamson path crossed once more. Karta now a widow lived in

The Winter Bride by Emma V. Leech - definitely a classic goodread! I love the many characters Emma VL has created, I feel like I know them personally, so brilliantly are they pictured. Ned and Grace are no exception. I love that we see a different walk of Regency life in Ned, a farmer, rather than the - so often told - ton stories. Ned is every woman's dream, with echoes of Lady Chatterley's Mellors - your heart just melts at his lovelorn frustration.

The winters Bride By Emma Leech. First of all wow! I could not put This novella down.
This novella captures your heart and keeps you enraptured through out. The character development runs smoothly along the story line and you can't help but fall in love with the mains. The scenery is described in such a manner you can't help but envision every aspect of it. Brew your self a hot cup of tea, wrap your self in a warm blanket and be prepared to be transported.

I have read four of the books in this boxset and my review applies to them, as that is what I am familiar with:

The Christmas Countess by KJ Jackson: A second chances romance, but one with so much unfinished business and pain, that one wants to weep for the main characters. On a quest to find a doctor for her desperately ill maid and companion, Karta braves the snow, ice and wind to reach Kirkmere Abbey, only the elements are far stronger than she is. Christmas Charity was a delightfully engaging story with twists and turns that kept me reading until the very satisfying, sigh-worthy end. This is book five in Beverley's 'Fair Cyprians of London' series, and is well worth the read.
Charity is a courageous young woman who finds herself at Madam Chambon's House of ill-repute through no fault of her own... fortunately, her first and only client is the gentle creative, Hugo, who is determined to save her from her plight. That is, until his das

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting for a Christmas story but, oh well, it was a great story anyway. The characters were such a sad lot....all of them! The stepmother was a truly ugly individual. It's no wonder her husband sought out the attentions of another woman for a little happiness and love. The way she treated Josephine was based on her own fear and ignorance...who treats a four year old that way and for 16 years? The Earl and the Countess were simply snobs and didn't know any better. ...more

A MUST-BUY holiday anthology!
I’ve only finished one selection and have to say, “What a WONDERFUL STORY!” While I suspect all of the stories in the Anthology “ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WEDDING” are equally amazing, Virginia Taylor’s, BEAUTIFULLY RECKLESS, is a stunning historical romance that is as compelling and complex as a full-length novel. The main characters, Ian and Rose, and a host of secondary characters seem wholly realistic and more developed with the use of dual narration than the n

I adored this story. I especially liked the heroine Lady Lila Breton. She overcomes an abusive situation and makes the best of situations thrust upon her. I thought her determination to win her husband over was admirable and very wise. Vincent is at first a mystery - silent and brooding. “He was huge. Not just tall and certainly not fat. He was just..huge. Thick blond hair curled atop his head, hanging practically i

I was fortunate to be able to read an ARC of The Mistletoe Mistress by Maddison Michaels. It was a great story! I really enjoyed reading about Michael and Holly's journey through the holiday season, which really began when they were children. So many secrets between the two make things very interesting when they meet again as adults.

With this as my introduction to this anthology, I can't wait to read the rest of the stories!
