Thesis that a serial killer chooses serial killing as a kind of career or craft. Where he strives to become the best and he keeps improving his craft.

Rippo states that many people have had traumatic childhoods, but some choose to be good anyway while serial killers choose to become evil. Serial Killers see themselves as victims and that way they see themselves justified to kill.

I have earlier read about that people like to see themselves as victims so they can justify their own deeds. This thesis could have outlined it more.

The Author also makes the mistake to consider Charles Manson to be a "serial killer" and uses a quote of him about killing although Manson never killed anyone and is convicted of "conspiracy to kill"
