The first time I met Alexander Harding, I yelled at him for taking my parking spot. Rich and powerful, I saw him as nothing more than my new coldhearted boss. I hated him once but now…now things aren’t that simple. There’s a man beneath the beast, and the more I get to know him, the more I fall in love with him.

Though just as I’m able to envision a future together, the p

Worth the wait. Hard place was good but the sequel Hard truth was excellent. This is a continuous story and the books need to be read in order. Both are available on Kindle Unlimited. I haven’t found an Emily Goodwin book I didn’t like yet. They have everything I’m looking for; great dialogue, lovable characters and a storyline that has you sucked in.

Harper and Alex start as an office romance in the first book. She’s a single mum and he’s a rich overconfident pain in the behind. At the end of b

Goodness! The beginning of this book hit me right in the feels. I mean I knew what was coming but going through all those emotions alongside Alex and Harper was harder than I had expected.

Alex realy had my heart aching for him... seeing his true feelings and not acting on them because he loved Harper that much wow. I got admit though Harper kind of got on my nerves a little with her whole sudden feelings for Michael coming back.. like they had a one night stan

Hard Truth is the conclusion of the Hard to Love duet. And after the cliffhanger at the end of the first book I was anxious and needed to know how everything would turn out. To say I was shocked after I read the blurb would be an understatement. The fact that this book could possibly be a love triangle had me shaking. If you know me then you already know how I feel about love triangles and to put it nicely, we’re not friends. So, you could imagine my reluctance to read this book. Despi

Oh Y’all! Better get ready to take a ride on a roller coaster of feelings with this one! I knew my heart was in for it when that door opened at the end of the last book and Alex saw Harpers twin girl’s bio daddy who seemed to have appeared out of thin air.

Alex the life long confirmed bachelor who suddenly was maybe thinking this sassy single momma with the adorable mini-me’s, might be changing his stance on #bachelorhoodforever!

I loved Harper in the first book, SO Much! In this book though. GAair.

I have been waiting not so patiently to finish the duet. These were my first Emily Goodwin books and I will be reading more for sure. When I first saw these books, I thought it was just an enemies to lovers office romance, which I LOVE, but what I got was so much more. Alex was so much more than an angry boss and Harper was so much more than his good looking assistant. Alex was the broken boy who thought no one could love him because of what was done to him in his childhood and Harper was the gi ...more

I have been waiting for the conclusion to Harper and Alex’s story since finishing Hard Place and this was NOTHING like I expected. If you haven’t read Hard Place, you NEED to read that first because this picks up pretty much where it left off.

I didn’t think I could love Alex even more than I already did. He is so much more than just a cocky boss. Once his walls start to come down he is super caring, not just for Harper but for her girls. He would do anything for the three of them and he’s prove

I was desperately awaiting Hard Truth landing on my kindle so when it did I had no other option but to jump straight in. I just had to find put if Harper and Alex would make it or if the reappearance of her baby daddy would through a spanner in the works and let me just say I wasn't disappointed.

The reappearance of Micheal, the father of Harper's twin girls has come completely out of the blue and stirred up so many emotions for Harper. This could be the chance to give her children a complete an

Hard Truth by Emily Goodwin is book 2 in the Hard to Love Duet series. This is the continuation of Alexander and Harper's story. This is more than an office romance/ enemies to lovers romance...oh believe me, it's so much more. Book 2 starts back up right where we left off -- with Michael Cooper aka the baby daddy back in Harper's and her children's life. Although she didn't think that he would be back , there is still some feelings for him.
Alex is still Alex. Yet Harper is her sassy, sweet, be

Omg my heart!!! I didn’t know what to expect after the cliffhanger and I must say it was really, really good. My heart was splitting in three. Alex had to let go something’s from his past in order to move on with Harper. Harper continued bring a sweetheart and her heart is so big that she has love for everyone. The truth about this story is that it is GREAT! We all met Alex & Harper in Hard Place. Harper, the single mother, who is the administrative assistants to Alex, the (alleged) millionaire playboy, CEO.

Once she started working for him her admiration for him grew and so did her feelings, what she didn’t know was so were his. But, when her long lost baby daddy shows up out of nowhere, Harper is totally confused and unsure of her feelings.

I really enjoyed how this story unfolded. I laughed and

Anyone who knows my reading obsession know that Office Romances and Emily Goodwin is my top auto buying everything. I am downright smitten with this duet and waiting for book two was torture, TORTURE I TELL YOU.

“You are everything I ever wanted, Harper. But more than anything, I want you to be happy, even if that means being with someone else.”

When I wrote my review for the first book in Emily Goodwin’s newest duet, Hard Place, I mentioned that Goodwin was setting us up for a triangle. The Hard Love duet offers the story of Harper and Alex. In Hard Place, we found them fighting each other, but also fighting their feelings. When they begin to recognize their attraction to

After that cliffhanger ending in Hard Place, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second book in the Hard Love duet. Hard Truth started out strong, easily pulling me back into Harper and Alex's lives...only this time, a third party became part of their story- Michael, the father of Harper's twin girls. I eagerly turned the pages with a strong desire to find out what Emily had in store for these characters.

The story began with a chapter in the past (six years ago), in Michael's poin

Goodness gracious! I loved this book so freaking much! Just when I thought I couldn’t love this book and this story anymore, it just kept getting better.
This story brought out every emotion in me. It made me laugh, cry, smile, get a little angry/frustrated (in a good way of course). I just couldn’t help but fall in love with these characters. Harper is one of my favorite heroines because she is so real and raw. She’s tough, vulnerable, caring and kind. She has dealt with hardships, but always f

I don’t know why it’s taking me such a long time to write this review. I honestly enjoyed the book. I love Alex and the girls and Harper even, but Harper’s wishy washy-ness in this book really pulled me out of the story.

Even though Harper only ever spent one night with the girls’ father, she felt a genuine connection. I completely understand wanting to see if that’ll go anywhere, but also, it seems that she constantly decides she wants to be with Alex but then wavers by thinking how much easier

Hard Truth picks up right where Hard Place left off so you MUST read Hard Place first.
Harper and Alex are finally seeing eye to eye, no longer at odds with one another, just for Harper's past to come crashing into their life. Now Harper must choose between Alex, the man she thought she was going to have a future with, or Micheal, the father of her children and the family she had always wanted.
This is the anticipated conclusion for Hard Place and Emily did not disappoint. I was so in love with

I have pondered this review since I finished the book last weekend, trying to figure out what to say, and how to say it.

I'd like to start with-- I love Alex sooo much! He's amazing, and his growth through the duet was incredible to see. He went from arrogant jerk to loveable, supportive, sexy guy flawlessly. And I was rooting for him the whole time.

But, I wasn't totally in love with this love triangle. Michael was a good guy who was too likeable to be the other man. And, in all hone

This series will give you ALL the feels!
I absolutely adore Emily Goodwin and her books. I have yet to meet one that I just did not love.

Harper & Alex's relationship has began to really look up and they are so in deep with each other. After finally giving herself to him, Harper is on an Alex high and doesn't believe anything can bring her down from it. But when she gets home from picking up her twin girls, her Alex high is surely brought down because the father of her twin

I received this ARC from the author and Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review

I was excited when I got an early copy of this book but life got in the way and I just got the chance to read and finish it. I really liked the book even though it felt slow for me a little. Both characters didn't want to say how they felt and that irritated me to no end. It always does because a lot of things can be solved with a little communication. So much has changed for Alex and Harper as they didn’t get off to a great start when they met for the first time. Harper realized that underneath the cold exterior of her boss lies a man who has been hurt by his past but once he opened his heart he would do anything for those he loved and that included her and her daughters. Just when they think they can become the family they both dreamed off Harper’s past comes crashing into their present and turns their world upside down.

This book was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

This is the second book in the series and book one is a must read before this one as tis book picks right up where book one left off.

Harper is all set to start a new relationship with Alex when her past comes back to haunt her in the form of her girls baby daddy, 6 years too late. But when Michael shows up it stirs up old feeling for Harper that she had for him, and it makes her question who she should be with, Alex or Michael, M

Alex is much more than just a cocky boss he cares for Harper and her twins, but her past and his come back to haunt them and he is shocked when the girls’ father comes into the picture.

Hard Truth is the second book in Hard to Love Duet. Must read in order, this book picks up right where it left off in Hard Place, and I couldn't wait to dive in and find out what happens. Harper is so shocked when she opens her door, that she doesn't know what to think. Let alone what is the right thing to do, all she knows is her girls comes first. The Hard Truth is an amazing conclusion to Hard Place. Yes, you must read in order. I love the changes in Alex throughout this series. You feel his love come through for Harper even though he doesn't vocalize it. I love how he is with Penny and Violet. It will just melt your heart. The only thing I didn't love about Harper in this book is she didn't seem as strong as a single mother as she did in the first book. The conclusion because you were completely left hanging after the first book.
I loved it! It's a bit of a office romance, but so much more. She's a single mom, he's a never been a one woman man. He doesn't really look forward to working with woman, but she's made herself a good name so he accepts her. Then he starts to fall for her.
Harper got pregnant after sharing one amazing night with a man she didn't really know. She never knew his last name therefore, her kid was fatherless, until aft

What happens when you find your one, then that ONE comes back out of the blue? Your heart is a mess and you are trying to find your footing again. My heart broke for Harper and Alex through this second book in the series. They are both fighting how they feel for each other, then with Michael coming back. Oh man, it was a cluster but I loved how real it felt as it played out.
Goodwin nails the raw emotions and the insanity of this story perfect. I honestly could not put it down once starting it.
