Will they or won't they becomes should they or shouldn't they. Is there love enough to survive the hot mess that is heading their way? Derek and Valentina seem lost in a fairytale that neither is sure will come true. She found her Prince. He has his Cinderella. Yet life seems destined to throw a monkey wrench in their plans. Unravel You teases the heart with humor, seduces the senses and takes a real world look at the starry eyed fantasy we hold in ...more
Unravel You is a steamy, heart-wrenching romance with a very interesting plot-line.
I know this is meant to be a standalone but I don't feel as if it was one. I REALLY wish I had read Love over Lattes , the prequel novel, which is about the start of Valentina and Derek's romance, before jumping into this. I felt a huge chunk of the build up with Valentina and Derek's relationship was missing. I really feel like some more backstory would have helped the story ...more
Valentina and Derek are in love and engaged. But Derek's hiding things from her and it's not boding well for the future of their upcoming marriage. Especially when his past comes back to bite him (and her) in the ass!
Will Valentina leave him when she finds out what he's been hiding from her? Or will she realize just how strong their love is?
This is a continuation of Derek and Valentina's story, which I appreciated because it gave them time as a couple, rather than the lead-up to a ...more
This book is first in a series but it is also a continuation from the book Love Over Lattes. I honestly wish that I had been able to read that book prior to reading this one. There were some bits in the story that I think would have made more sense if I had. I would recommend reading it prior to this book. This story is still great nonetheless, but a little more perspective ...more
Let me just say that I felt cheated and a bit lost or confused. I wanted to know the whole story. I wanted to have it all right in front of me. I want to readLOVE OVER LATTES. Watching Valentina and Derek go through the hurdles of mending family conflict, meeting the parents, the siblings, and being in a new city was already enough for them to deal with along with preparing for a wedding.
I jumped right in to this read without any ...more
Meeting your in-laws is never easy but between Valentina’s frazzled nerves and the less than welcome reception things are about to get complicated.
Valentina is feisty and fiery which is a perfect challenge ...more
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Valentina and Cole are engaged though things are still a little bumpy. She has issues of not being good enough for him and his issues are a whole entirely different thing. Add in two ex's that feel owed something they are not and you get one explosive yet steamy happily ever after for these two. Full of surprises that wrap up this chapter of the Cole brothers very well. Makes for a fun read for fans of ...more
Derek loves Valentina - but he also loves his job. He wants ...more
I think I will start by saying that I hadn’t realised that there is another book before this, even though this is the first book in the Cole brothers series the story is a continuation from a previous story. Most things are explained well enough for the story relating to the two main characters of this story, Derek and Valentina, however there are some references of situations around Derek’s brothers that are really vague. It’s hard to tell if this is something that I would have ...more
Derek didn’t like waiting. He wanted a life with me; he didn’t see why we couldn’t start immediately. For my part, I couldn’t think of a single reason to stay apart from him, so I’d agreed to everything—the house, the ring, the ...more
I’d met Derek and Valentina in the previous book, Love Over Lattes, so it was ...more

Things get complicated when the family is not particularly fond of their son’s choice. Bring in the ex – his and hers and ...more
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Derek's first wife Bridget embezzled their company to fund her gambling habits. It was not a marriage of love but convenience.
Needless to say this marriage didn't last long due to this and other things. Derek had moved on building the company backup until he met Valentina who also worked with them.
Valentina had a 6 year old boy, Max, who meant the world to her. Derek and Valentina fell deeply in love.
The first half of this book was a real feel ...more
I kind of felt like I was missing a big part of the build up of the relationship Valentina and Derek share, until I discovered their story began in Lover over Lattes.
Derek is an intelligent, successful and intuitive businessman. Whilst his heart is in the right place, Derek is protective, but also a tad over the top, and controlling when it comes to Valentina. He has great difficulty with ...more
They haven't yet got the understanding that although trying to protect each other they need to not keep secrets and learn to trust and talk to each other more, especially with both of their crazy exes throwing obstacles in their way.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it.
I loved the relationship between Derek and his ...more
They had a bumpy round ahead of them and I was really pleased with the way HEA occurred.

I will say that it is a really good book and now I will go back and read the first book to get a better feel. It will definitely make me understand more.
Valentina was a great character but I couldn't connect with her at first. I understood a little more as the book went on, though.
I really wish I knew that there was a book before this.
The Cole Brother's seem to have abit of mystery about them, and I can't wait to read their stories.
Valentina also just didn't make sense. She's engaged to Derek, but is super shy about sex? I mean, I'm pretty sure she knows how things work considering she has a child, but come on. I also hated Derek. His attitude sucked and he was so pushy.
I gave it a chance and finished it, but this whole story just wasn't my thing.
