What is a man to do when he wants to be just like his father? But what is a father to do when he wants his only son to be greater than he was? That's the question when it comes to Jahquel Jackson; a young street savvy man that wants to take the world by storm. He's not your average drug dealer that you'll find on the corner. He's his own man that's selling his own product; Spaceship.
Jahquel Jackson is adjusting to making a name for himself in Las Vegas Nevada. He desperately yearns to follow in his father Klayton’s footsteps, but Klayton wants Jah to be better than he ever was. However, Jah is determined to honor his legacy and invents a potent form of ecstasy called Spaceship. He works under the tutelage of Vegas and Reign, but now he wants to branch off and pave his own way in the drug game. He is focused on taking over the streets of Nevada with Spaceship, but little does he know that he has enemies coming out of nowhere. With street cred, comes money and hoes and Jah is loving the attention. When his path collides with the lovely Brooklyn Miller, Jah starts to think about settling down with her. The problem is, he doesn’t know if he is capable of being the man that Brooklyn needs. Will he figure it out or will his budding relationship with Brooklyn fail before it even gets started? There are secrets and skeletons that are revealed and Jah might not be able to handle the truth when he finds out.
Brooklyn is busy trying to get her life together. After finding out that her ex-fiancé Jayce is living a double life and he kicks her out of their apartment she is trying to figure out what her next move will be. She wasn’t looking for love but is enamored by the infamous Jahquel Jackson. The thing is, she has been hurt to the point that she doesn’t know if she can ever trust a man again. She also doesn’t know if investing her heart in Jahquel is worth the risks because he appears to be trouble. Will Brooklyn give Jah a chance or will things come to an end before they get started? Find out in the first installment of loving a West Coast Jahquel and Brooklyn’s story.
I really enjoyed the quick wit with which this was written-very fast-paced, and a very quick read! The only thing that threw me off was when another book series was referenced by one of the characters-it was a very Deadpool-like, breaking the 4th wall type moment. The ending for Brooklyn and Jah was kind of sad, and the way things played out with Bryce really threw me, because he went from being stable family guy(with a crappy home life, to be fair) to cheating/moving in on a new family real quick! Each chapter seemed to bring a new twist into play, which was very entertaining-some of them could do with more detail because the scenes weren’t fully built in my head by the framework of their words, overall, I definitely look forward to reading more of Thea’s books! So glad I decided to give her a chance!
Lawd Reese got on my nerve's with her whining so I know for a fact Bryce was feeling it. I think Reese is hiding more than her diagnosis. Something is off with her. Bryce is tired of Reese and she has finally pushed him away. Ayanna is smitten with Bryce but with Dallas trifling behind showing up. It causes problems. Brooklyn has been through it and I hope it gets better for her but with Jayce and Rah running around. I don't see her having any peace at the moment because now she's unknowingly is caught up in Jah beef. Jah is feeling Brooklyn but he's now second guess everything with her because of what he has going on in the streets. He found out the hard way that it's normally the one's closest to him that is preying on his downfall. Now his past has came back and Jah got caught slipping.
Forced and frustrating... The story was so over the top forced at times I was ready to end the read and move on. Trying to get the reader to like her because she's a different type of stripper and he's just a miss understood dealer was weak. The long drawn out speech's they had that contradicted what had just previously been said was nerve dancing.
Even the ending, what is going on and why the drawn out speech and if he's so tough why put the gun down? Too much of nothing to continue on to the next one. I'll try something else by the author because this was borderline busted. 9/22/2019 16:22:53 PM
Loving a West Coast Menace: Jahquel and Brooklyn’s Story

There is love, sex, hatred ,jealousy and betrayal all mixed together it is I want to see how Jah and Brooklyn weather this storm. I rated it 5 cause that all they will allow me. Thea you are doing the damn thing cause this book is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book was really good it was a bit short but it packed Straight Fire. Jah is a good dude with some serious trust issues and Brooklyn is the right one for him. I just hope it’s not to late for them to realize it. Bryce has a fight ahead of him but he has a good heart so I’m confident he will prevail. Ayanna is going to be conflicted but I hope she thinks before reacting. Can’t wait for the next installment.
I didn't expect that ending wow. I can't believe that Jah got caught slipping like that plus I can't believe that his former friend Tommy shot him. I really hope that he makes it. I hope that Brooklyn is okay too. Plus Jah n Brooklyn gotta get back together man. I like them together. Man Klayton is about to tear down some shit over Jah man. It's about to be some smoke in the city man n it ain't gonna be pretty either. Great job mama! This was fire right here! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This book was everything! I don't like Reese sorry not sorry! I like Bryce with Aryanna although things are not looking good in that department anymore. I can't wait for Dallas to get what he deserves. Kamryn & Tommy have got to go. That ending has my nerves shot. I don't I is now Bryce is getting out of this 😳
Omg where do I start I’m feel bad for jah n Bryce and Brooklyn I want them to make it and ananya and Paris I hope they make it!!! I’m done with Reese annoying self she needs to tell him before it’s to late!! I hope tommy and karmyn gets what’s coming to them!!! I know Vegas and Klayton about to tear up LV!!!
Man what a great book. I feel sorry for Brooklyn, because she fell head over heels for. Jah. All he was trying to do was protect her from people for hurting her in the end it didn't help though. I don't like Mike though it's just something about him i will figure it out in part 2. Tommy and Kamryn need to watch their back. Oh and Bryce gone get out of jail and kill Dallas ass.
Great storyline love the flow. Love Jahquel and Brooklynn, can’t stand either ex. I’m trying to stay calm about this cliffhanger ending of yours, the suspense is killing me. But loving this series. Congratulations!
Jah was funny in this book ass usual 😂😂. Someone need to kill Tommy, Rah, Dallas and Kamryn with their snake asses. That rmding had me sad bring on part 2 as always good job Thea!!
this book was crazy and I loved it!! Jah was a ruthless ni&&a that didn't care what came out his mouth.. The way he greatest and talked to women was ridiculous..... I thought that Brooklyn would calm him but that didn't work out either.
Bang bang n**ga. Reese is annoying why not just tell Bryce what was up. Jah needs d*c* control class. Dallas and Jayce some punks. Oh Klayton gonna lose it he about to paint the streets of Vegas red. Part 2 meplease Thea
