Rex Roosevelt doesn’t believe in love.

He believes in women, in sex, and in avoiding any and all types of responsibility.

What he doesn’t believe in is playing the white knight by rescuing women . . . even though he’s been making a habit of doing just that over the last few months. Being the white knight is more in his twin’s wheelhouse. Justin spent a lifetime rescuing

Rex isn't the type to rescue people. He's more the take from kind. But for some reason, when he sees a gorgeous angel in need of a ride, he can't resist. Who knew his one moment of unselfishness would change his life so thoroughly?

Tilly needs a break. But she's not used to trusting people, especially men. So when known playboy, Rex, rescues her when her car breaks down, she's understandably suspicious and skeptical of his motives. But as the time flies by and he keeps rescuing her, and he

This is book five of the Roosevelt Ranch series and the first one that I have read. Each book can be read as a standalone. Quick read. Rex and Tilly were so good together. The chemistry between them was good. They seem to gravitate towards each other. They both had struggles in their lives. They are the outsiders looking in especially Rex when he is always being compared to his twin. Rex is a bad boy with the ladies but Tilly sees past that and gives him a chance. Will he be able to show that he ...more

Second chances don't come with instructions. In life and in love sometimes you have to wing it. Rex is so used to playing by his own rules that he never stops to assess the damage he's left behind. When life finally forces his heart to take notice, he may end up being the one that's left in the dust this time. Desire at Roosevelt Ranch is like a wake up call to the senses. Beneath the heartache, beyond the drama and hidden inside the chaos is a heartbreaker of a romance. Faber takes emotions to ...more

Rex had decided a while ago that while his twin brother could do no wrong he could do no right and everyone in their lives agreed. He has given up trying to change peoples minds and just accepts his place both in the family and in town until Tilly comes into his life.

Tilly and Rex first met when he rescued her when her car broke down on the side of the road. Rex always seems to be there when she needs him the most and she sees a different side to him than he shows anyone else but is this the

I am a new reader to Elise Faber and the Roosevelt Ranch series. In Desire, we come into the series with what seems to be a lot of water under the bridge and meet bad boy Rex and small town waitress Tilly.

Desire at Roosevelt Ranch is a very short book/longish novella. As such it appears that a good deal of Rex's back story is contained in some of the other books. There is enough information shared here that I felt like I knew Rex and Tilly, but everything felt very surface level.

I thought that this was a very good read. There is just something about a bad boy. I think it's all that deep intensity and hidden layers that so desperately need to be explored and discovered that I find so incredibly enticing. Rex is just such a bad boy and I loved reading his and Tilly's romance. This book offers up plenty of emotions, drama and tension as this couple's story unfolds. This read gave me lots of feels and it gave my heartstrings some serious pulls along the way. Of my own ...more

Desire at Roosevelt Ranch by Elise Faber is book 5 in the Roosevelt Ranch series. It's Rex's book in the series and it's a short story in the series of how he finally meets the woman who tames his heart- Tilly.
Rex has a bad reputation with women , Tilly gives Rex a chance and this story blooms. I enjoyed the characters and the sweet chemistry between them. I wish it wasn't so short. I would have liked more story and not a rushed ending but overall, good book in the series.

My Rating: 4.2 stars

Rex doesn't believe in love, not even a little bit. He does believe that his twin can do no wrong, while he can do no right, and it's made him really appear cold, as he just keeps the status quo. And then Tilly came to town, and his life all of a sudden was thrown into surprising chaos. See, Rex first came face to face with her when her car broke down on the side of the road, and though it was a shock to him, he definitely didn't have any problems rescuing her. I do believe fate also got ...more

I've been looking forward to Rex's story for multiple books. A reformed badboy is one of my favorite tropes. There are always two sides to every tale and I was anxious to hear Rex Roosevelt's, resident bad guy, basically the complete opposite to his twin brother, Justin.

Rex definitely did break my heart. He always felt like an outsider, someone who never measured up. I suppose when you already have the carbon copy of yourself who is perfect, why try to measure up? The only way Rex could garner

Truth time, I never read the first book in this series. With that said, while this book is part of a series I feel like you don't have to read them all in order to get the full effect. And while this book is about Rex Roosevelt I have to admit that I'm glad I never read the first book. I like the Rex we meet in this book. I'm not so sure I would have liked him prior. Now I'm sure if you read the first book you could say he redeemed himself. But at the same time I like not knowing that prior man. ...more

Can a Bad Boy Change?

Elise has given us Rex the bad boy. Rex is very good at being bad. His family is well known in the town and he is the one person who is not popular. When he returns, most wonder why he is still hanging around. Then on a ride home he stumbles across a lady in distress, so like any gentleman he stops to offer his assistance. When he meets Tilly for the first time, he is drawn to her, but deep down he knows he doesnt do relationships.

Noone expects Rex to hang around, but can

Although part of the Roosevelt Ranch series, this can be read as a standalone; in fact, if you’re not familiar with the other books, you, like me, might well end up going back to them to know the characters better. Tilly is definitely my favorite character in this book; she is honest, she is empathetic, and she is real. Rex is perfect for her – the new, improved Rex, that is, and the scene where he has Tilly’s car fixed (instead of buying her a new one) is a delight. Elise Faber masterfully ...more

Desire at Roosevelt Ranch is not my first read by Elise Faber but it is my first in this series and I’m happy to report I was not lost at any point but I do feel like maybe the backstory of these two or should I say in depth characterization is probably going to be lacking for you if you start here. You won’t be lost; it just might feel like you don’t know the why of things …. That being said, they intrigued me enough that I want to go back and read from the beginning so #win lol

I think Elise

I’m a big fan of the Roosevelt Ranch series and this book is a fantastic addition! I loved it! It a great storyline and wonderful characters! It was an emotional roller coaster ride that I’m glad I was on. I loved Rex and Tilly’s story. Rex fell hard for Tilly the first time he saw her. She knew his reputation and knew she should stay away but didn’t think she could. It took awhile for Rex to convince Tilly to give him a chance. Rex proved to everyone that he’s changed into a better man.

I'm enjoying this series.
The books aren't very long so more of a fill in a small amount of time story than get really drawn in reading for hours.
Saying that you still get to know the characters well and in this book end up routing for rex and Tilly.
Rex has the looks and the money but doesn't have the same dependable, good guy reputation of his brother Justin.
After coming to Tillys rescue when her car brakes down will she be able to ignore the bad boy reputation shes heard about and

Rex has the reputation of being the bad boy screw up of town.. When he comes back and sees Tilly broken down on the side of the road he stops to help her.. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he could find someone he doesn't do feelings and something about her is giving him all kinds.. Tilly knows enough about Rex to know to stay away but she really doesn't want to.. Can he change?

There is definitely alot more to this story that I believe is in book 1.. it got a bit confusing as I have not

I didn’t read the earlier Roosevelt Ranch books so I may be missing a bit of the back story, but I felt I could keep up just fine. This is the story Of Tilly and Rex and they have an instant connection that neither can seem to walk away from. Although Rex seems to have a bad reputation in town, Tilly acts in her feelings and the two find they have quite a bit in common. The story was well thought out and moved at a reasonable pace as they began to explore their feelings. I might need to go back ...more
I was so happy to read Rex's story. I loved that Rex fell hard right from the start for Tilly. Of course he might have gone about his wooing a tad wrong, but his heart was in the right place.Tilly was such a strong character despite the upbringing she had. She was bound and determined to do things on her own. I loved that about her. This was such a great story!!

Can I just say I am excited to finally get Rex's story. You get this amazing change in Rex from meeting him in the first book Diaster at Roosevelt Ranch. It takes a special lady to turn Rex's world upside down. You feel that once you meet Tilly. I love Tilly. She is gun shy when it comes to trusting Rex and you understand why when you read this. But she is strong and trying to over come everything. She is just what Rex needed. Yes the guy you want to hate from the first book will be the one that ...more
