This book continues with all the action, humor, and steamy scenes that expect. It is a fast-paced read that has you smiling while on the edge of your seat. Enjoy!!
Oh, my goodness. I absolutely LOVE this 2nd book in the series. After all the scene setting in the first book, this one hit the ground running. I love Mace and his "little friend". Plenty of action and a shed load of comedy mixed in with some hot sexy stuff. What's not to like?? Janet has once again excelled herself. KEEP THEM COMING 😘
This time we follow Mace and Keiko, and what a sit on the edge of your seat this journey was. Loved the scene on the ledge. I'm also afraid of heights, and I could feel every step of terror that Keiko went through. Janet's writing is so raw that you feel all their pain, fear and passion. Can hardly wait for the next ...more

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the second volume in the Red Zone series but it can be read alone without trouble as the universe is well explained at the beginning. To resume, in the future people have implants, put during the childhood, used for quite everything: opening doors, paying for purchases, ...more
Red Awakening by Janet Elizabeth Henderson is the second book in the Red Zone series. This is Mace's story, where we finally get to find out what his animal is. You won't be disappointed, and if you're like me, you'd have never guessed it!
Mace is the most vocally grumpy of the team, and it was great to see him meet his match in Keiko. I enjoyed getting to know Mace and Keiko; they are both characters that are easy to like genuinely.

I just finished Red Awakening, after reading Red Zone, the first book in series. WOW! This is quite a mix of genres! I’m a huge fan of the Invertary books, & find this series just as much fun.
There is humor, suspense, hunky heroes & snarky heroines. And ROMANCE! Feels like nothing is missing. In an earlier blog, author Janet said something to the effect that this would be an experiment for her, & it really works.

Loads of action and a rather cute romance made this a good read. Keiko, the heroine is spirited, well meaning though rather naively clueless to the nastiness of CommTECH, of which she is the press secretary for. She actually believes that they are the “good guys”.
Mace is her opposite in character. While Keiko is verbose (sometimes t ...more
I grew up in Scotland, but after I met my Dutch husband in America we decided to move to New Zealand and that's where we've settled. We bought a patch of land that we've filled with other people's unwanted animals - we didn't advertise for them, they found us! So far we have three miniature horses (we took in two and were surprised 11 months later when a third appeared - yep, we know nothing about ...more
